Waiting for the 8 PM lab results.

TSK, I thought about you when I looked at the green tomato dessert recipes.  ;) Let me know if you try that cake. It sounds like a good coffee cake style sweet treat, and you can use up some green tomatoes in the process!  ;) Yep, Dad put that Girls room together at his house. A good job, I say!  :D He just recently switched out the kids’ rooms and repainted and redecorated them. My twin greatnephew was moved to the smaller bedroom, but has it all to himself. It’s painted and styled to his druthers, and he’s liking it lots. Nothing like having 2 sets of everything for all the 4 kids, since Mom is remarried and lives in a large home that accommodates the 4 twins, and her husband’s 3 children, too. So, is today Clynn and Ed’s anniversary? Or are you saying it’s their 2nd 40th?  ;) :D

Lisa, it sounds like your trip is delayed. I hope your niece gets a move-in date soon. Will that be in AL, or LA?

BL, LOL, PIP!  ;D

Puff, are you sticking your tongue out back at my Caturday Cat?

I just got word that the 8 pm labs were mixed for my LGN. All was normal except potassium, and that was not normal, but also not critical, and she hasn’t had extra potassium for 24 hrs, so Mom is considering that a small win but not a home run. I don’t know what that means re. a discharge date, other than it’s a wait-and-see.

Good nite. Peace.

Two good morning - good week - stories to start the day.

First, if you didn't open the post from Lisa on the previous page do so  - you have to be amused and uplifted by the ladies visiting N. C.  The enthusiasm and good vibes from the locals shows the spirit of its residents.  God bless them.

https://m.facebook.com/groups/1012768108762312/posts/five-ladies-had-a-girls-week-planned-for-almost-a-year-and-we-debated-whether-to/8815292428509802/?

And, second, just heard that the rain we had last night and finishing up this morning here (IL) is moving east.  After 40+ days it should be showing up soon for the east coast.  Hooray! for y'all.   ;D

Good Morning Beakers!

Ed asked me to thank all of you for the birthday wishes! And I thank you all as well!

Lani, sounds like everything will stay pretty much the same for Mike in the coming year. That is a good thing! I am sure the company more than appreciates his staying through the transition! I love it when it's raining leaves, our back yard has a yellow leaf carpet from the Maple trees! I'll get a pic later...

oldguy, I am sure you are busy, the weather has finally turned colder and the Christmas commercials are on tv now!  I got my $96 Menards rebate Wednesday, I am sure there is something I need to go buy!  Thanks for the links, I will get to them this morning!

baz, thanks for the update on Lil' Punkin, hopefully things are heading for better! Prayers, for sure!  Love the twins and 1/2 and their very unique bed! That would be so much fun! It looks like the twins split up, one up and one down. Am I seeing right? Very clever setup by dad!

tsk, we all have 'brain farts'! I have seen Mrs. Meyers in Walmart and Target, but only in limited scents/ Target usually has some of the Holiday scents. Their website has all of them and in most every product. The two bundles I purchased included a room freshener spray and a candle.

Lisa, thanks for the article on Ashville from Karen!

Phyl, great cat shames! Especially the one about buying cat food they decided not to like! Have had that happen more than once.  I hope Maggie got her dinner last night! They can tell when you're late with their food!

In France, there’s a road called Passage du Gois that seems to have a mind of its own. Twice a day, it disappears under 13 feet of water, only to reappear a few hours later. If you want to cross it, you have to be quick, or the sea will rise and swallow it up again! It’s like something out of a fairy tale, but it’s real, and people still use it—if they dare!

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

Old City of Jerusalem

Surrounded by ancient walls, the Old City is home to holy sites such as the Western Wall, Dome of the Rock Islamic shrine, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which dates to the 4th century. Shops and markets selling prayer shawls, rosaries, and ceramics fill busy alleys, while food stalls serve falafel, pita, and fresh-squeezed juice. In a medieval citadel, the Tower of David museum chronicles the city’s history.

Good Morning Beakers

clynn - I just realized that I said, Happy Anniversary, but not Happy Birthday to Ed.  Thanks for the info on Mrs. Meyers.  I will look in Target, and see if they have it here. Very cool about the Passage du Gois. Ooo, those pies in your morning pic look good.
Happy Belated Birthday to Ed!!

Phyl - I had to laugh out loud at the cat pic from last night about "all the Pate my cat won't eat $30".  Picky Bandit does that to us sometimes.  I'm glad we have lots of friends with cats who take it off our hands. Love those cupcakes.

BL - LOL, Pip said, shut up!

tsk - I sure will.  I need all the prayers I can get.  I was thinking of flying, but you know me...love to DRIVE!

baz -  Hoping all of Punkin's labs are heading in the right direction.  The niece is still living in Mobile, and new apartment will be there, too.  I am crossing everything that they contact her on Monday to give her a move-in date.  Jeff is off this week, and he will be able to stay home with kitties.

oldguy - Not a bad night for cards.  Thanks for the videos.

Lani - Well, rats...I thought that might have meant less traveling for him.

Puff, tig, kb, karen and all  - Morning  :)

clynn, beautiful fall pics... I'm so ready for pumpkin pie.... interesting about the road in France... awesome fallen tree in Oregon. Aly and Dewey spend early morning hours walking through Oregon forests.

Tsk, I hope you and Tim have a good day.  :)

Phyl, Love the Pumpkin dessert tree. YUM! ...brrr, needed a sweater after watching today's nature video... pretty pic of Old City of Jerusalem

HAPPY DAY, BEAKERS!  :D

My LGN's 4 AM labs all came back normal!! Yay!! Fingers crossed!  :) :-*

Thanks to you, All, for your good wishes and prayers for her and family.  :-* :-*

I walked 29 minutes this morning. Beautiful and sunny. Clouds are moving in now. We may get some showers overnight, and thunderstorms in the morning. We need rain badly, as does so much of the country - one of the worst droughts on record for the U.S.

All the wildfires are just awful - west coast and the northeast.

Prayers for all in the path of the severe weather and fires.

TSK, I haven't heard anything about reaction to the research articles emailed to docs. I'd love to know!  ;D

Clynn, yes, you are seeing right. The older twin girl used to share a bedroom with her twin brother, but they are getting too old now to do that anymore, hence the change-up in the bedrooms and sleeping arrangements. I'm guessing the older twin wanted to be up top, so that made for the younger twins to split up top and bottom. I wonder if they trade off from time to time. Your pies look like they could be in the same room as the giant stone fireplace that BL posted a few days back. I hope you and Ed get to do something special for your Anniversary. Congrats, again! Your 40th! Again!! LOLOL. (per TSK)  ;) ;) ;D ;D

Lani, I won't get to watch the Chiefs play today. It must be a regional broadcast on TV because my local CBS affiliate is showing the Washington game now - same time as the Chiefs' game. But I see I will get to watch the Chiefs in their game next weekend! Have a good day helping Shannon! LOL on the pontificating bulldog!!  :D

Lisa, oh, Mobile. I couldn't remember where you had said she lives. She's your brother's daughter? Is she moving from his house to her apartment? Will he help her with the move? Fingers crossed she gets a move-in date tomorrow!! Well, I guess if you end up not traveling this week, then you and Jeff will have time to do a lot of other fun things while he takes some time off. Maybe y'all could enjoy a nice Fall sightseeing day trip if the weather agrees.  :)

Phyl, love that cupcake tower in the Autumn colors!

Puff, yes, I opened the FB article Karen sent for Lisa to post. Biltmore House is something to see, especially when it's decorated for Christmas! The scale never comes through in the pictures. I have been there quite a few times, but only once when it was all set up for Christmas. I'm sure everyone in that region is happy to see some tourists starting to visit again. Prayers for all suffering from the effects of flooding from Hurricane Helene, and the other severe storms.

KB, enjoy the game. What do I smell cooking in your crockpot today?  :D

Oldguy, I say 1 out of 2 ain't bad!!  ;D Though Meat Loaf sang, "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad."  :D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5hWWe-ts2s (I still love this, after all these years! 1977 "Bat Out of Hell" album!!)  :-* :-*

P.S. That was written by Jim Steinman, an incredible talent!! who lived an exceptional life, with so many credits from many famous and well-known works!!  I didn't know about half of it till I read this about him - Wow!!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Steinman

BL, LOLOL, Pip! Must be some chair!  ;) :D :D

Waving to All the Beakers!  :D

 ;) Here's a funny for you:
