Aww!  E 23 was back at his nest, swfl, and had a nice visit/chat with daddy, M15! The kids frequently come back for a visit!  Looking  good!   Parents may in fact continue feeding while he hones his fishing skills!

karen - Awww, I bet all the photographers at SWFL were excited to see E23!  Hope all went well with the nurse.

E4E - We are doing ok, thanks for asking.  Yes, one day at a time, and still working on things together.  Good luck to your Mom at her appointment, and good luck to grandson at his game.  :)

kb - Yay, on the hearing again!

tsk - Oldguy sent me some info that I forwarded to my brother, and he did go talk to someone, so it put his mind at ease.  He sent me a screenshot from her phone of doctor appointments that she had upcoming till the end of the year.  I called all of them to let them know she had passed, and to cancel the appointment.  All of them had such nice things to say about my Mama.

Lani - Thanks for the Puffin update, and wow that lil intruder pushing the egg out.

Phyl - Yep, Misty and Bandit are their themselves again.   :D

Hello Beakers

Latest news says that there are 2 deaths in Greenfield and 1 death from another unidentified location to the south.  Ryan Hall expects more damaging storms to occur from Texas to Kentucky today and more stormy days Friday and Sunday.

Mid 70s today and mostly sunny.  Storms coming in Friday and Sunday.

An interesting video about the results of photos and videos of the Solar eclipse...

Hi Beakers!

I'm glad all the Beakers are safe after the many serious storms and high winds. I hope the "tree-trimming" and other plant-affecting winds, hail, and torrential downpours didn't do too much permanent damage at the Beakers' homes and yards. Lots of "salad on the ground" to clean up, and branches and such. Glad you all have power.

Prayers for all affected by the many bad storms and high winds. So many lost so much. They're still going through rubble in Greenfield, IA, where a number of people werepulled out from under completely collapsed homes and other debris. which is why a total fatality count hasn't been given yet, last I heard, though 1 fatality was reported there earlier, and of course that news is getting updated throughout the day, so I may not be up to date on that. Their town was really hit hard, but other towns also had severe damage, and people who lost it all. Prayers for all.

More severe weather is in the forecast in many places. I hope people will do the smart thing, and stay off the roads, and in safe places, where possible, if there's an active warning in your area. A warning means the warned area is experiencing the severe weather being warned about at that very moment - it does NOT mean that weather might happen. A watch means conditions are such that the severe weather might develop. Most actual warnings don't last very long in any one location, though there are exceptions. It isn't the end of the world to delay a car trip for 30 or 45 minutes till a warning has ended for a partiular location. But it could be the end of the world for some people who ignore the warnings and requests by officials and first responders to stay off the roads during those times.

Stay safe, All, and have a good evening. Peace.

P.S. I see oldguy posted some storm-related updates while I was composing my post. Prayers for those lost and their loved ones, and for all who are suffering from the serious storms and weather.

EAGLES   I was close  LOLOL  Then in 2009  Adam Lambert was runner up.  ;) ;) ;)  That was longer ago than I thought.  Good luck to Mama that they can figure out the cause of her pain.  Enjoy the baseball game  ;D

KAREN   Aww  E23 visiting.  Wonder how far away E23 has ventured?

LISA   SOOOO many details to manage.  I remember when Dad passed, the first thing I did was to call Social Security as his check had just come in the mail and we had yet to open it.  They said put "return to sender "on it and they would need death certificate when we could get it.

BAZI   All good advice!

As of this post---We're down graded to  a severe  thunderstorm watch - which just means conditions are 'right' for severe T storms.

The  entire afternoon has been full of  thunder sounding like gun shot, skies rolling constantly, heavy rain and outbursts. The good thing is the retention pond is
doing it's job--- All this atmospheric activity has hushed the cicadas.   ;)
And, unless this gets worse --- doubtful it will--- as the back end has begun to move thru . A little rain about 2am tomorrow and  a bit on Friday. Just some light rain. Thankful for that to be sure.   Save for weed growth. ::)

Continue prayers for {{{Greenfield, IA}}}  and God's blessings and consolations to those having lost loved ones.

Lani Oh my. The one day I don't look.  thanks  for the Atlantic Puffin Burrow cam /intruder alert report.  Here's to Willie protector of the nest and Millie the 'good mother'. Egg is safe.

Hi Eagles  the bees can home with us anytime. Without them there's no food or environment . Sending best wishes for your {{{mom}}} and her diagnosis and treatment for her chronic pain. Hope grandson's game goes well and a win for his team.

Baz Jim being a jet pilot for 40yrs  and a weather watcher ...Common sense prevails. Y ou/Zippo take care  too.  ;)  :-*

Karen thanks for update on  E 23 and his travels

Lisa  a lot to get thru with paperwork and legalities. When my dad passed his Soc. Security was electronically deposited. Mom called the  Soc. Security and told them he had passed the day of the deposit. She told me that the e-deposit was debited  to her checking w/in 48 hrs.    :(

Good Night Everyone...  and a good night’s rest.

LisaG- You & your brother seem to be moving right along in taking care of things for your Mama.  I know it's not easy, but good for you both in what you've done so far.  Glad Oldguy has helped you with information.

Baz- So true about the storm warnings. Well said - thank you so much. Great info.

Tsk- I had forgotten about Adam Lambert being a runner up!    My mom had a productive appt with her specialist today.  Both my sister & I accompanied my mom.       Grandson's team won again! :)  The other team had some really good players too!

Phyl- Thank you for the good wishes for my mom.  She will continue with PT.  She's making a little progress a little at a time with her balancing.  Doctor recommended mom take Arthritic Tylenol for her discomfort.         Bees are definitely a necessity for our environment!!

Beakers stay safe.  Prayers for all the folks in Greenfield

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, I have sat in that desk! And sharpened my pencils with the sharpener attached to the wall!  And the chalk holder for teaching cursive writing! Great memories! 57 here, 81 and sunny today.

Lani, have you been getting some good rain? I keep forgetting to look at your area of the country! Hope you are all doing well...

oldguy, thanks for Claire and her cats! A lot of cat carriers!  For a lot of cats!

E4E, hope your Mom continues to improve, hope the Tylenol arthritis helps! Ed was back to work Monday, the P/T was the right thing!

Phyl, sounds like your yesterday was like our Tuesday!

baz, we always go to the Mole Hole when the siren goes off for a tornado! But noy always when it's for a thunderstorm. The cats are scared of the thunder!

tsk, I am going to check our maple tree for cicadas! I haven't heard any yet!

CLynn Yes I 've spent school days in that seat used that sharpen. We were fortunate then. What a  nice lavender theme color this AM and pretty tulips. Yesterday here wasn't as bad as your Tuesday. Nope.
Nothing  much seems to phase Maggie-- Last nights thunderstorm didn't
rouse her from her sleep-- here it's all rain soaked w/retention pond full. My 'Repels All' is all wet and the garlic in it diluted. :(   Oh well if that's
the worse of today--I'll have a happy song to sing.
