I caught this of 'The Kids' Decorah North Eagles, May 16, 2024 6:42 AM, Birchwoman
Mom had been breakfasting on 'something' on branch just off the nest.
And, the flew off...

...to a branch lower and further away.

PHYL   Nice screen shot of the hatchery pond.  Like the colorful pot this AM.  Thanks for Amy's blog.  Gets to be a busy time with banding come up soon.  Great close up photography on that turtle 365  :o

CLYNN   Yes it seems surreal to have Lisa's Mom gone and not hear about all her adventures anymore.   WOW  That is a lot of annual planting.  I love dusty miller as it lasts into winter.  :)  You did a good job.  It looks beautiful.   NG is a very competent provider.  :)

Phyl, very unique vase in your good morning pic! Thanks for Amy's Blog, we get to see the vultures this year! I bet willi can't wait!  ;D  I had to look up the cistude, aka European Pond Turtle, in the 365. We learn new things every day! Fog on the Flyway...79 and sunny here today.  The North kids look wet and waiting for breakfish to be delivered!

tsk, there are a couple of rows of perennials, and about 2/3 of the dusty millers are from last year. They come back in the spring and I plant a few new ones around the old. Did all of the perennials you planted last year (or was it the year before?) take hold?

Million Dollar Highway is not for the faint of heart. It’s Part of the San Juan Skyway Colorado Scenic Byway near Ouray, Colorado. Forget standard driving safety measures like guardrails and shoulders, there aren’t any on this stretch, so swerving off the road is not advised. 😲
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

TSK/CLYNN- indeed,  it will seem strangely unreal having Lisa’s mom 'gone' and not hearing
about her ‘Miss Fisher’  mystery conventions and exploits .

CLYNN-that's alot of gardening you've done,  will be so pretty when it fills in; Hellgate, I ris's egg looks great;  :o Million  Dollar Hwy /San Juan Skyway;
I picture Willi grinning with excitement   :-*

TSK- Oh yes! We will soon be immersed in nest watching when banding and fledging begin

Good Morning!   Wow. clynn, I do not know it that road in this Colorado or Lisas Bridge would be my worst nightmare!  Perhaps the road, especially if you were on the outside lane!  I assume this is a two way road!  Beautiful views however!

Thanks for in info on the Ms Fisher Con in New Orleans!  Big Event!   I am sure Lisas Mom is very busy about now!  Greeting family members and friends and getting  the heavenly Ms. Fisher  org. In gear.  No time for Door .dash!   (((Lisa))).

Phyl, I want that  glass vase, bowl!  So pretty, bright  and interesting!   I have just the right place for it!
Turtles are interesting !

Clynn, beautiful plantings!  Most of those things look like annuals!   Great job!  Interesting walk to your front door!
Willie and the vulture’s!   Lol

Lisa, stay cool while you are in the  gulf coast humidity!   Am sure you are busy at this sad time!   Take care of your self!    Hugs to the family!

Piper and I are planning the day!   Bbl

CLYNN  I haven't planted any new backyard yard perennials in years because of the milkweed takeover.  Barb gave me some of her thinned out black eyed susans this spring to replace the ones the deer ate last year for the first time EVER!..  I have those covered with cheesecloth now.  You may be referring to the new front yard landscaping we had done - now 3 years ago. Boy time flies.  All perennials have survived and are doing well along with the globe arborvitae.    I didn't realize dusty miller can reseed itself   :o  I plant new each year.  ???    I'll take a pass, thank you, on the million dollar hwy.. :o :o

Heading to the Titanic exhibit in Skokie this AM with Barb and Tom.  https://thetitanicexhibition.com/chicago/

LISA- I know how busy you must be right now. Be gentle with yourself... stop and breathe.  :)

HI KAREN- Yep. I bet the heavenly chapter of 'Miss Fisher' Fan Club and conventions are organized and ready.
You and Piper have fun today.

TSK- I've seen the Titanic exhibit. It's amazing. Hope Barb/Tom ae ding well.
