HM & HD spent time on tree tops by bluff perch this morning, then copulated.  Goose pair under N2B on creek bank.

Early this morning, a young sub-adult was soaring around the hatchery and landed on the pines neat Trout Run Rd, moved to a tree across from the pond, and then in a tree on the raceway side of the hatchery, it looked like.  HM & HD spotted the visitor, and flew above N1, perched for a while and flew out.

Great pics, Lisa.  Hope the sub-adult doesn't bother HM and HD at their new nest.

There's a first egg just laid at Decorah North!  Whoopie.

Geese on N2B this morning, likely a pair, perhaps the same pair as last year.  I believe RRP said they tend to nest in the same place more than once.  Last year, the first goose egg was laid on March 21.

Would it be something if there are TWO goose nests this year, at N2B and N1.  What are the odds?
