RRP Facebook post this morning.

One of our camera operators reported that Mr. North visited the new north nest this morning, where he moved a stick around and ate a fish he caught! We'll keep our talons crossed until we're sure the North's have moved into their new home, but this is a very good sign.

Missing the Norths and Decorah in general? We're turning our Decorah and Decorah North streams back on on Friday, October 11, at 10AM CDT.

Thanks, Ginger, for the welcome news!

The cameras are back live at DNN.  Couple pics of the rebuilt nest, and the eagles perching in creek trees.

MrN had a fish for lunch on the creek bank, then flew to the Brush Pile for preening and beak feaking, then flew to the Spit Tree (I think) to join DNF for hours of perching together.  The cattle herd crossed the creek and came to the pasture around 2:00.

Morning pics from DNN.  I think its DNF in the Brush Pile Tree at sunup.  Hard to tell from shadowy sunlight.  Could be a sub-adult.
No pic, but a couple deer crossed the pasture from the nest area to the creek about 8:00.
The ground-level camera is providing some great views this season.  There's lots more open ground around the nest tree from the construction of DN3 earlier.

Shep, soooo good to see the Norths at their "new" nest this morning.  DNF even brought in a stick.

Early morning activity, 6:00 to about 7:00 -- Several deer crossed the creek, including one antlered  buck, a doe, and a youngster.  A mouse visited the nest to nibble on greenery.  DNF visited the nest and nearby broken perching limb.

Extreme closeup of mouse, a good preview of how close we will be able to see eggs and chicks next spring!

The Norths spent night hours roosting on Love Branches (no pic), then visited the nest before the color cam came on.
Noise from crop harvesting might be keeping eagles and other wildlife away this morning.

Nestorations have begun this morning!  DNF brought a long y-stick and MrN brought a large stick about 8:45 AM.  Watch them at work on the rewind!

Hi All :)  After a busy day of fall projects I took a moment to see what might be happening at the North Nest.  I believe this photo is of a cute little Kestrel who was hanging around maybe shortly after noon.  Just found it now during my evening perusal.  Still wondering if I will see a visit from the eagle pair as dusk falls...

Oops.  Forgot to attach photo.  Then, since it has been awhile, it took me a few moments to recall procedures.
