I personally would love to see Standard Daylight time sit for the whole year....
I hate it when the sun doesn't rise till almost 8am...now it's back to 7amish.

Part of the problem with finally doing away with this clock changing shenanigans once & for all is ...

The Government wants to use Daylight Savings Time year round.

The Health and Sleep experts say if we're going to do "it" at all it really should be Standard Time year round.

And on top of that you then have all the personnel & geographic considerations.
What state do you live in (ie latitude), what side of a time zone are you in (ie east or west) and are you a morning person or an evening person
.. and on and on ...

My 2 cents _ I personally would like to stay on Daylight Savings Time year round.
I like my late afternoon & early evening outdoor activities sunshine.

My sunset today is 4:46 pm instead of 5:46 pm, yuck I don't like that.
On the Winter Solstice (with Standard Time) it sets at 4:30.
On the Summer Solstice (if it was Standard Time) year round my sunset would be 7:30 pm instead of 8:30 pm.
Double yuck.  ;)

Either way I think after a year or 2 all of our brain and body clocks would adjust to one or the other.
Certainly better than screwing with our brain and body clocks twice a year every year.   ::)

-Edit to add- I'm guessing Lani is chuckling at this thread.   ;)   ;D

  ;)

Well, not that it counts tsk Noted this a.m. that the Chicago record for today's date was 71.  We made 72 here.  Not that anyone cares.  The record of 71 still stands because the official location for temps is O'Hare not Darien.  Humpf!

Tig - I have another friend that tells me about her Bay’s English muffins all the time.  They do not sell them in out stores here.  They must be good.

Tsk - Gotcha!  Are you eating the meals too, or just Tim?

Have a good night, everyone 😴

Lisa... I was hoping for less corn meal on the bottoms than is present on Thomas's. This appears to be the case. And the brioche style is fluffier. This was our first time trying them. We like.

PUFF   The warmest  I saw in my backyard was 70 today.  I will award you tho the record hi  ;D ;)

TIG  Tim loves Bays brioche English muffins - I will sneak 1/2 of one when he isn't looking - altho now he is eating bupkis!

LISA  Look for those muffins in the refrigerated section.  They are not on the bread shelves!  Just Tim - Tonight he had the most awful - what they call pizza.  A whole wheat 4" round disc.  He spread the sauce, shook the cheese and nuked - It smelled and tasted awful.  Can't wait until we get the freezer food.  He made himself a salad and filled up on that.

Tim just saw all the cards.  Lori, I just noticed the calico in the golf cart - Tim saw first  ;D   He thanks you all for thinking of him.   OLDGUY  Tim saw the peach dessert and said " I wish!!"

Happy Anniversary, Phyl and Jim!  Any special plans for today?
Tsk, pizza needs a little grease to be good!   Lol.  I get some Lean Cuisine sometimes and follow the oven directions rather than the microwave!  The crust tastes better than the damp cardboard that comes out of the microwave!  Are you eating this too?   Hope it gets better! Lol!

Close to 80 today!   Same thru the week and then down to the 70s.

While shopping at Publix a few weeks ago the help stopped to examine a pretty slice of carrot cake and reported in shock that was something like 1400 calories in it!  Not bad if that was all you ate for the day.lol

Got a   C clock in Germany and loved it!  Gave it to a neighbors dil who came here from Germany as a new house would not accommodate it!  Quite large !

Eye Doctor tomorrow and stop to replenish the water supply!  Plan to give Dollar .general a try!
I too like the update on. The sloths!
Good morning pictures all!
OG, really not a bad card night! Your other half must be a good cook!  Love vegetable beef soup!
Prefer Thomas English muffins to the other fancier brands! They have too much to chew!  Lol

Piper does not get the time change!  All her meals are late!  Too dark for her evening constitutionals!
all have a pleasant night.  Seds

We got .08 of rain today! Yaay!

Phyl - Hope you & Jim are having a nice & peaceful, cozy evening. :)

Tsk - Hope you & Tim are having a nice happy birthday evening - I hate to ask if he has to have Nutrisystem for his birthday?    Glad you showed Tim his birthday greetings/wishes and that he liked all!!

Kb - Thank you so much! :-*

BL - Re: Standard time vs Daylight savings time;  I wholeheartedly agree with you in that it messes up our brain & body clocks twice a year - so tired of it! ::)

Tig - Sounds like a good productive day was had - now time to enjoy those sammies for dinner! :)

Kb - I agree; 'get er done'.  I think we are all tired of having to adjust to time changes twice a year. ???

Lani - I thought AZ was on Standard time year round?    Thank you for Sloth updates.    Just read that you have 3 zoom meetings this week - you are a busy girl!!

Lori - you always post such delicious desserts - yumm!! :)

Og - Your card cronies ate delicious last Saturday with your chili and your other half's Veg/beef soup!   Sounds like a good night of cards was had - although you lost 1 pretty big.   You'll get 'em next time!

Tsk, It's wonderful to see the sloths that are able to graduate to a more open environment. God bless them and TRR staff. But, I notice the 3 finger sloths survival rate is very low. Reggie, Robin, Nara,  this makes me sad, and I wonder if they are more endangered than the two-finger sloths.  :'( ... what is bupkis? I looked it up and I get confusing definitions.  ??? ... sending prayers for Tim.

Kb, you and Chris had a busy day.

Oldguy, Chili and Beef/Veg soup perfect dinner for card playing night! 2 out of 3 isn't bad. Thanks for links, poor Lala  :-* ... fun Simon's cat... and of course Maru/Hana.  ;D and I didn't know about Mr Mule Deer. Thanks.... I pray the volcano doesn't erupt.

BL ;D

Tig, Mike likes Bays, we have a package in the freezer, along with my favorite Wolferman's english muffins. I got spoiled having them when we lived in Kansas. Yummy dinner.

Phyl, yes the 3 finger sloths do have a hard time. So far they've all died this year.  :'( ... I hope you and Jim had a lovely day.

SED Puff

Karen, I guess Piper would prefer Standard Time.  ;D I hope your eye doctor appt goes well. And pizza definitely needs a little grease  ;D

Eagles, We may not change our clocks, but now we're on Mountain Standard Time which I prefer. Two hours difference from Eastern Time, 1 from Central. Then when it springs forward, we're on Pacific Time, again we don't change our clocks. And we're 2 hours Central Time 3 hour Eastern Time...  We may change our clocks, but we have to make adjustments too.

Good night!

Good Morning Everyone... !

Currently 58F  cloudy   High  65F  partly sunny,  Low  45F

Hi Karen
Thank you for the anniversary wishes; glad to hear Piper won't be influenced by the Time  Change; olive is good fat (grease) for pizza and
anything else  ;)

Oh Tig way too funny--- haven't heard 'nada' or 'caca' since high school, either/or   good definitions for 'bupkis'   ;)
your dinner was similar to what I make for Sunday breakfast---homemade breakfast sands w/ either bacon or lil smokies with a very slightly
runny yolk fried egg, slice of cheddar cheese and gently warmed

OLdGuy
tks for the video of  Blue Lagoon and Grindavik, sad to hear eruption when it occurs will be headed to those areas. 🙏 's
