MN Nongame Wildlife Eagle Cam
« on: November 14, 2019, 09:35:14 AM »

 :)
https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/features/webcams/eaglecam/index.html
The current pair has been distinguished from the pair, or at least the resident female, by several physical features.  One obvious feature is that neither of the new birds is banded.  This pair also shows some behavioral differences as well.   They seem very bonded to each other, spending most of their time together - showing fondness for each other and sharing food commonly.

MpMom, is this the same MN nest that you use to watch and post pics from?  I can't remember what the eagles name were.

Morning Lisa! Yes, I have watched this nest to for around 9 yrs. The original eagles are no longer here.
There is also another nest I watch(Minnesota Bound) which I haven't checked in on yet.

I thought the nest looked familiar.  What were the names of the original eagles?  What happened to them??

They were just mom & dad Lisa. Mom had been banded so we knew it was her when she came to the nest.
Dad disappeared 1st & mom then mom got another mate. Then last year 2 different eagles showed up & have been here. No clue as to where mom went.
As  we are seeing this happens to many nests.

Oh, I thought they had names.  Maybe I am thinking of another nest that you watch and post about.

Hey Lisa!
The Arcon eagle nest in Iowa have a pair of eagles named Liberty & Justice. Maybe that is one you may be thinking of.

Hmmm, no I am thinking it was one in MN that you watched.  Was there one called DNR or something like that??  Or, is this that nest?  LOL

Ok, so this is the same nest that I am thinking of.
There is another thread called DNR Eagle Cam Minnesota.  I saw in that thread you and another two forum members talking and the male was named Bill, no name for the mom.
So, I am not crazy?  LOL
