Pretty sure the season is over. All of a sudden they will give up for the egglet. :(

I was just looking at the live cam for this nest.
It looks so ghostly...difficult to make out if thats  a starving parent sleeping w/head tucked under or a carcass of one
Are these birds gonna waste their lives away on this season's egg?
What are 'they'  (humans) going to do  ? If any thing.
Surely that egglet will decompose and the parents will have to clean it all up.
And, finally say 'Good-Bye'.
