I sure wish these two would be a little more regular in their visits here.  They might not need to follow a schedule for their own needs, but they should be a little more considerate of this worrywart.

Mom:  your pic looks like someone dropped a branch on the cam.  This shadow below looks like the shadow of a deer to me.   I wonder if they are doing some work on this cam.  I think they were going to place an IR cam here.  This could be a stand.  My recollection is vague at best and could be something I read somewhere else.  Just throwing that out there because things are a little slow here at the moment.  It leaves room for mindless speculation.

Two birds that are regular visitors to the nest are the kestrel who comes daily and a scrub jay which comes almost as often.  This could be him, as the lighting seems off.  Nest monitors also reported that flicker that I thought was something else and have seen a shrike here as well.  I have only seen the first three and a glimpse of that intruder a while back.
