SSRL - I know some of the pieces are border and do them first and also a hunk of pieces from the middle I recognize.  Sometimes it's luck :)

Wow JP.  Besides being glad to know you because I like you a lot, I've learned so much more about Florida and the keys.  Either you tell us or I start googling something you mention/show us.  That looks like a great area.  Holy cow I thought Key West was the last of the keys going down the line!!!  And there is the semi-circle of the Marquesas Keys in between I forgot to label them!  I've heard of them, but had no idea where they were.  Oh and thanks for a great puzzle!  :)

Nora, 70 miles from Key West and no road or commercialism.  Just pure beauty, birds and sea life.  I have been to many of the little Keys and the Marquesas.  The big thrill is arriving at Fort Jefferson on Garden Key.  So few people even know it exists.  Of course it is only manned by the resident park rangers.  I like this picture of it.  In the picture you can see Loggerhead Key in the upper distance where the lighthouse is.  That is the actual end of the florida Keys.

That's really pretty, JP!  When was the fort built?

ra,It was started in 1846 and construction stopped around 1875.  The Fort was never finished.  Here are some facts.

Fort Jefferson is a massive but unfinished coastal fortress. It is the largest brick masonry structure in the Americas, and is composed of over 16 million bricks, the building alone occupying 16 acres.   Among United States forts, only Fort Monroe in Virginia and Fort Adams in Rhode Island are larger. The fort is located on Garden Key in the lower Florida Keys within the Dry Tortugas National Park,

Boy Baz, you were busy!  I've had days where it's just fun to sit and work puzzles.  I miss having a place I can do the real ones out of a box here.  I would except Joe insists on eating at the table.  >:(

That was interesting about the fort and Loggerhead Key with the lighthouse JP.  It's so great there are a few places that actually have just the natural beauty and no commercialized stuff and hordes of people.

Seattle Fractal 11 5 3.  70 piece Bulbs.  10:51  Thanks!
