Hi Cal. I'm still trying to catch up after being away for a week; am slowly getting there. We had a very nice visit with our son and his girlfriend, but it was extremely sad to see the fire devastation in the neighborhoods just down the road. The fire had gotten very close to them in the canyon across from their road. Seeing HOW close in person, proved how miraculous it was that they and their neighbors did not lose their homes.
In answer to your questions about my hip surgery... I was not given any BP meds for my post-surgery erratic BP, just extra fluids. BP was stable after one extra day. Having the exercise equipment in your home should help a lot. Please remind me of the date again. All will benefit from you getting a new knee - especially you!
Uh oh, a stray doggy made a visit. I hope it has a home to get back to.

I did not see any new food at Snow, but deer did come in at 10 am and now.  I sent pics.  Some are close ups I got by zooming in with the wheel on front of my mouse.
CUL now.  I will go watch the animal action.  Hoping for some buzzard scenes soon.

Cal, gosh I just realized it's been 6+ years not 5, since my surgery, so my memory is fuzzy with some of the details. I assume the BP was erratic (not dangerously high) due to the surgery. Thanks for your surgery date. It's nothing anyone ever wants to go through, but my hope is that when it's over, the quality of your life will be greatly improved! I know it's hard to keep worry at bay.
Have a good night, everyone.

5:19 Did puzzle while second coffee was brewing. Snow has two deer and three black squirrels.  One deer stays back of snowman and one is way off to the left standing like a statue.  Too cloudy for sunrise at GSB cam. Will look at eagles later.  Just saw 4 eggs at GSB Falcon Cam. YAY!  Just saw a big bear at Snowman.  By scrolling back to last night I saw the raccoon run off at10:42.  At 10:44:12 the bear walked in from the right.  At 10:45 the feeder hit the ground and the bear just settled down to eat the feed.  At 10:57 bear is staring off to the left.  Then at 10:58 he gets up as if to check temperature on the thermometer, and runs off to the right.
Yes Bob was special.  He did more for Falcons and Eagles than the whole rest of the world put together, and he let us watch.  Amy too is a hero for scaling cliffs and monitoring nests.  Thanks Amy.

Hi EV1,  I miss the deer pantry. Snowman is the only cam that has been with me for all these years.  Others are very good, but do come and go.  Snow is the one for all seasons.
Call I put all those times in there , because I recently found out how to find what happened earlier. It was not easy for me.  Last night I clicked on 10PM, and the feeder was there.  Then I clicked on 11 PM, and it was gone.!!!  So I very slowly moved the little ball along the bottom to change the time.  I will say it took a while to find that bear at 10+PM.  Also he was only there for 15 minutes.  So it was easy to miss his appearance.
Try it, you might like it. Plus you can get a really close look at stuff by scrolling the wheel on the mouse like on the bears.  it helps tell the porcupines from the raccoons.
I like learning stuff, and have a lot to learn.  LOL
I will leave you all now.  GBU

Hi EV1.  IT's 11:30 here.  I looked at Snow and saw the feeder down on the ground.  Only the bear can do this.  So I went back through the film thingy and saw the bear came in at 9:20.  He knocked the feeder down and ate his fill.  This seemed a much smaller bear than came in last night, and he was fidgety.  He kept looking off to the right like he was expecting some company.  There was a little porcupine on the table all this time too.  He climbed slowly up the left end at 9:03.
Now I will say GN and GBU.

5:26  Wish I was smart like JP.  I would say something interesting like he always did.  I miss him and his cheery scenes in the morning.
Thanks Cal for posting.  I want you to know I will not worry if you are missing in action here for a few minutes or days even.  SO AGAIN I SAY," DON't WORRY" Please.
Now I will go get second coffee.  Late start again. LOL  At least I got the puzzle done.  Will look at cams later.
I will take Karen to get a rescue dog from the vet back to ARF this afternoon.  She will just be along for the ride.
Bye now EV1 GBU.
It's 11:24 here.  Just saw a TV take off out the door.  I hear another one walking around out of sight. YAY!!! They are back.  After scrolling back just a little I saw two sitting calmly looking out the door.

6:07 Watery eyes are flowing and blurry. Clear, but cool out again.
Karen and I had a real adventure yesterday going to get Della.  We both had GPS units going.  I can't remember how many times mine said turn "left" at the corner and hers said turn "right".  LOL it happened a lot.  Trip took at least an extra hour due to being lost a lot.  We were almost there at one point, and not long after that Tom Tom," says you are 18 miles from your goal". WHAT???
I was very happy to hear, "you have arrived at your destination". YAY!!!  I am used to being lost in that area.  It has happened three times to me.  Karen however was really freaking out.  She kept telling her Apple where we wanted to go.  Somehow Siri never got the correct message.  It was awful!
Then we get Bella, a nice 49 lb. girl crammed into my Yorkie sized carrier, and she is not comfortable.  She whined pitifully all the long way home. Karen wanted to bring her up front into her lap.  I was afraid she would not settle and would be a hazzard by maybe jumping around and causing me to wreck.  It was bad enough not knowing for sure which way to go and hearing her crying all the time. Well we made it.  She had no accidents in the kennel. It was 123 miles all together.
What an adventure.
OK Now I will go for second coffee, and decide if I want to haul a dog to the prison today.  Right now though, I am a no!!!!  I'm not even dressed yet.  There are 48 others in the Transport Group.
Plus Denise says the mail is already here.  Old people like me really love the mail.  Almost as much as the weather. LOL
