The prices on any kind of medication is getting SO out of line.  :(

Rues, back when my sister was probably 20 give or take a little she lived in a duplex in Minneapolis and they had a pool.  Of course some guys lived in the other half.  Out she went in her bikini and decided to make a big production of diving in.  She sure did.  She dove in and when she came to the surface and was getting out realized her top had come off.  Ooops.  :D  She didn't do that anymore.

It's 67 and the humidity is still 70%, but the dew point is down to 57!!!  Sure a lot better than yesterday.  It's coming people!  It was great having the windows open last night, but would have been better with a south breeze as far as getting in the house.

Ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that picture of Ray.  I just want to hug him.

Hi to your sister Cal!

I watched the birds for 12:45 in triangles.

Cal, my sis and Sandy both have bee keeper hats and the suits or they use to. They may have sold them or gave them away. They had bee hives for several years but gave it up after the whole colony died during the winter. She says it's easier to get honey at the farmers market! I can understand you being fearful after what happened to you! That was pretty scary!  I don't know how you can stand it with all those clothes on in that heat! I'm pretty sure I'd have a heat stroke! But if that helps you stay protected then you got to do what you gotta do! We may have a storm later this evening along with cooler temps! Yay!  They say cooler till Monday then back to the 90's. Boo! Crow went to the dermatologist today and the doctor said he would fill the paperwork out for the insurance co but he doubted that it would be approved. He said they normally won't approve on the first try. Now we wait and see. In the mean time, his feet are  cracked open again and his fingers are starting to crack. At least he had 2 weeks with no pain.  Was Boobie's suit white? Because a long  time ago I bought this pretty white bikini. I just loved it until I came out of the city pool and my best friend told me you could see everything! I was mortified! Lol! I never wore it again either! Lol! I've probably mentioned this before...my mom loved to cook for someone who loved to eat! She would have loved to cook for your Jim! Always made her happy when all the food she cooked was eaten!

Nora,  like your sis losing her top in the pool, I've seen that happen at the beach a couple times. Girls would get hit by waves and off would come their tops! Either way it's embarrassing! Lol!

Jp, cutest pic of Ray! Wonder what he is doing now? Can't believe tomorrow is September. I know a few people who have birthdays coming up!

Eli

HI, all.  I am  having a down day, so far.  I certainly hope it improves and that none of you are having one.

Good thoughts for all of you as September joins us.  May this day treat you all pleasantly.

Cal, it was cool here this morning, too! Refreshing with a slight breeze. We started our yard work around 8:30 and had ours and Robin's finished by 10:00. Of course not much work needed when there's more dead grass than green! Lol! Got all my flower beds cleaned of dead stuff and bagged up before the trash man came. He was running late this morning otherwise I would have had a couple bags sitting beside the garage until next week. I don't remember my sis or Sandy ever saying they had a problem with bees getting inside their hats or their suits. I was there once when the bees swarmed and Sandy had to catch them and put them back into the hive. She had lots of bees on her suit and hat but none got her! They wore gloves, too. I think your mom and my mom were great moms! My mom treated Crow like he was her son. Better than his own mom does. We are hoping that the light therapy will help because the prescribed creams aren't. We know a guy here in town that has one of the home units and he swears by it. He said his skin problem is doing so much better now.

Jp, hope your son and dil are ok, too! Hoping your day improved!

Donna, mother of 19

Well, will wonders never cease.  The Miami Marlins finally won a game.  They had lost 5 straight games.

I am still not too peppy today but feeling better than yesterday.  That is good  because my cleaning lady comes today for her monthly visit.

The storm, Hermine, did not swing East as much as originally predicted so my son, Patrick, didn't get very much from it except rain although there is still a lot of that .

My thoughts  go out to all and I will just say

Hi Jewelies!  :D

It's been a beautiful day here today! I went to run an errand early today and it was so nice and cool. I had the windows down on the car enjoying the fresh air. I have my appointment with the orthopedic surgeon later this month and I will probably be having the surgery after that. My habit of putting medical things off has backfired on me this time! My hip is really hurting a lot more. I have to take more pain meds so I'm not able to drive when I'm taking those during the day. So I get to stay home a lot. But it's my own fault for waiting around.

I have been reading all of your posts. Cal, I hated to hear about your trip to the hospital! How scary for both of you. Sure glad Jim was home!!

I am so looking forward to fall! I saw that our temps are supposed to be back up around 90 early next week. I am tired of that!

Have any of you ever seen a cow like this one? I hadn't but an old school friend posted this on her Facebook page. They are called Belted Galloway and they are usually only 2 colors. This one is a very rare tri-color.

Lun Lun (Mei Huan & Mei Lun's mom) at the Atlanta Zoo is expecting twins again!! They are keeping the camera on her 24/7 because they think she should be giving birth any time now. She mostly just sleeps and rearranges her nest. You can watch her here:  http://www.zooatlanta.org/1212/panda_cam#reSRD

Our little Bei Bei turned 1 on August 22. He got a box of treats covered in honey. You can see him and his mom, Mei, destroying the box and licking off all the honey in this video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N97qk0twpVw

I was watching the Katmai cameras the other night for a little while and got a nice sunset on the Naknek River.

I've been keeping a close eye on the hurricane situation and hoping that all the Jewelies are out of reach of the storms that seem to keep popping up.

Hi to JP, Rues, Obsver, Ra, Deb, Eaglette, Nora, Neva, Blschue and everyone who reads here. I hope you all get perfect weather!! And I hope that all the ammunition in all the areas where there is hunting goes bad and won't work!  :o Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
