I studied those lavender fields for 5:56 but could not figure out what that crop was to have so much of it.

Good morning, Cal! So sad about Jill's goat. How nice of you to bake her cupcakes. I never heard of a house goat. But why not a goat in the house! On the way up the road to da Vinci's, our fav restaurant, there is this white goat tied up to his shed. I worry about him because he is up on the side of a hill all by himself. Never see anyone near. Wish that goat lived in his owners house then I wouldn't worry about him.  I've had blinds fall down before! That gives you a scare! Your windows are wider than mine because my blinds are 28! Robin has to go to the Subaru dealership one  day next week to get the new key and her old key synced up. The body shop said they could do it but Robin said no way Jose! To be honest, the car looks great. They really did a nice job. The entire ordeal was mismanaged. Hyacinth is on right now. They are staying at Violet's country cottage where Hyacinth is having a bbq. It's the one with Zoe the missing dog! I think you saw that one recently! My fav Saturday evening PBS shows are all pre empted tonight because of pledge break. :(

Jp, I agree with Cal! I'm glad you are sleeping longer and getting rested up! Won't belong until daylight savings time is back! That will confuse Molly and Boo for a couple days. Lol.

Need to do something constructive but I can't think what...bbl! Lol!

I walked right into that puzzle and gave everyone else a higher AVERAGE time   ;D

I could not tell if I was smelling lavender or heather.

No, I will not state my time.  Now the average is 6 minutes though.    :P

HI nora! Good joe's rehab going well and he likes it. I am sure his shoulder hurts him and he will be happy to get that over with and start his rehab for that next.
I have a feeling I'm in for a long summer being he won't be able to use that arm for anything............

Sure glad Robin FINALLY got her car back Rues!

Eli is a great looking bear.  Oh heck they all are  :D

Oh the donut of shame  ;)

That's too bad about Jill's goat, was it pretty young?

I'm really dreading the day light savings switch this year.  Sparky has OUR routine down now being Joe hasn't been able to take him out at all.  He does have a tendency to sleep a bit longer than me, so maybe I'll luck out.  It was no biggie before because I'm a night owl and Joe isn't, so he gets up earlier than me.

That's a neat bed Eaglette, but I could see Sparky still coming up to snuggle.

Lily and her 3 last year.

Enjoyed the dachshund video.  Clever little fellow.

I lost my cursor.  It took me about 10 minutes to get it going again.  Have you ever had that happen?  I almost had a panic attack.

Everyone gets my wish for a pleasant Sunday and a good start for the week.

Vigorous Play, Gentle Contact - UPDATE March 5, 2016

Ted (Behind the Scenes) 10/9/15
Ted (Behind the Scenes) 10/9/15
It?s hard to understand why bears would spend so much energy in such vigorous play when they haven?t eaten for months and won?t eat for another month or so. But play is obviously very important. Vigorous but non-harmful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv-UsDSLVjY

On the other hand, Honey the loner carefully walked in the snow today, giving us a good look at her near the camera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFzN6EjL6_0

Today, Judy McClure and I traded stories about gentle Ted. You?ve heard mine. She remembered when Ted first came to the Bear Center and she and Sharon Herrell were leading Ted down to the viewing area where he would be fed. Ted was huge. Judy paused to listen to what Sharon was saying ahead of her. She didn?t hear Ted come up to her and didn?t feel Ted slide his front leg around her leg. She only knew that when she tried to walk, she had Ted?s leg around hers and she couldn?t move. Ted wanted to be close to her. Sharon Herrell pouring formula for Holly on 4/11/14
Sharon pouring formula - 4/11/14
He was being his gentle self and being a bear that loves people?anyone. She also remembered her early times with Honey and when she offered Honey food close-up and had Honey stand up for the first time. I could tell that her moments with the bears over the years are very meaningful to her, as are the many moments each staff remembers with these special bears. Each one has tender memories of these personable bears?memories made more meaningful by the contrast between the bears? behavior and how they are thought to be by so many. When staff members see the truth, they become ever more dedicated to the Bear Center?s educational mission. It?s the same, of course, for Bear Curator Sharon Herrell who dedicates her life to giving each bear the best care possible. They make me proud of all of them, their dedication, and how they represent what the Bear Center stands for. As part of that, I?m thankful for all that Lily Fans have done to care for the bears and help spread the truth about them. I look forward to visitors meeting Ted and the others close-up on the behind-the-scenes tours that have become so popular.

The pictures show Sharon pouring formula for Holly when she was a yearling and Ted greeting behind-the-scenes visitors with friendly grunts and ears in a playful position. Meeting groups of visitors are highlights of Ted?s days. From what we are told, meeting Ted is unforgettable. No education is more effective than learning from the bears themselves.

Thank you for all you do.

We watched the bats come out from the underside of the overpass on the highway down at San Angelo, TX.  That was so neat, they just kept coming and coming out
