One-Eyed Jack is visiting.

I am feeling much better ,probably up to the middle floors now.

bischue, how terrible to be given the wrong pills yet how lucky they were not ones that would have severely affected you.

Nothing of consequence is going on here.  I am hoping for a sunny day, we have not had a good one of late.

willi, so glad you ae in the new house.  I know you undoubtedly have tons of stuff to do in the settling in process but when you are finally back to comfort I look forward to some pictures from that nice area you live in.

May all of you enjoy this Thursday as much as I am going to.

Snuggling - UPDATE December 16, 2015

Lucky and Holly snuggle
Lucky and Holly snuggle
Who would guess that black bears in dens can be this affectionate. Holly is tending to her foot pads. Lucky wants to be close. He lays his head against her. They touch noses. All is gentle. Lucky looks sleepy and content that he can be snuggled against Holly. A Lily Fan caught it all at https://youtu.be/z7EyI-VymyU.

The results of Holly's curiosity, and it even got worse
The results of Holly's curiosity...before it got bad!
We had the biggest snowfall we or they have seen this fall. Then Holly did her deed. Was she shy about the camera seeing her interactions with Lucky? Was she just curious about the camera like she was last winter? She managed to turn it so there is no picture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ig5921dHUNQ. We?ll see what Scott can do about it tomorrow.

Thank you for all you do.

Hi, Jewelies --

I don't post here but I do read your thread.  I'm posting this because I've noted that some of you also have had problems with the forum:

I sent Amy an email asking her if she still wanted us to email her about the forum problems.  She said:

"If it isn't too much trouble for you to email. The uptime monitor tells me when it goes down, but I am very curious to hear about what I think of as 'brownouts - not down, but not working right either.  Thanks!"

Sounds like she really needs (and wants) info. from us in order for the problem to get fixed.  Her email:  [email protected]

Best,
Ginger

DEC. 16TH EVENING & NOON DEC. 17th UPDATE: There, Joe is now in the swing bed at the hospital here in Cresco, don't know how many days yet. They kicked him out of LaCrosse this afternoon and I brought him over.
He's doing good other than a bit wobbly when walking yet.
I DID discover the hospital here in Cresco has a card deal too, they didn't used to. E-cards will be delivered between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Cards arriving after 3:00 p.m. will be delivered the following morning. Weekend and holiday delivery is not available. There are several hospital in this system, so choose REGIONAL HEALTH SERVICES OF HOWARD COUNTY if you send one, it's the last one in the choices.  He's in room #124.

http://www.rhshc.com/trinity-health-patient-greeting-card-1?

(OF NOTE:  Apparently the greetings weren't going through right away and people got an automated e-mail reply about the person being gone until Monday. I asked about it today and to everyone that tried, she should do them when she gets back Monday, Joe should still be there. His nurse said she'll check and see if anyone else is while that gal is gone though.)

Oh and they do ask for your e-mail address, but that's just to notify you they did it, otherwise nothing comes of that.

Taking an unpacking break.2 boxes and a break.Very frustrating with a walker cause I cannot carry anything.Plus I am already pooped. Here is the new house. Close on purpose so not much yard. We have a side deck and small area for Henry to potty.

Hello everyone! Am trimming the larger threads. Jewel will stay, but I removed everything prior to 1/1/2015.

Still trying to get things stabilized.

Hi Jewelies!  Geez... I didn't realize I'd been gone so long.  Had to go WAY back to see what I missed!  Had some surprise visitors here, too!  The temps are getting ready to drop around here, back down to normal December weather.  It's been so warm, I got spoiled.

cal... I've got a little over 16,000 miles on my car, but I don't get warnings about oil changes, just tire issues.  At least, that's all I've seen so far.  I usually change my oil around 4,000 miles.  The book says 5,000, but I always did my car at 3,000... so I'm in between.  lol  Did you decide whether or not you're going to get that medicine for Babe?  The price of some drugs is outrageous.  Don't understand how some can be so cheap and others so expensive.  Aren't they made the same, just different ingredients??  Love the overhead pics of the WRI cabin.  Do you know if someone lives there all the time or just in the summer?  Or, is that where Dr. Lynn lives?  Don't think I ever heard...

willi... Thanks for showing us what your new house looks like!  It's very pretty!  Is it pretty new?  Did you downsize or just relocate because of your mobility issues?  Does your new house have an upstairs, or does it just look like it?  Is Holly getting used to her new home?  I bet Henry doesn't even care... as long as he gets fed and has a place to sleep.  lol  Sorry to hear the movers messed stuff up... will they fix the stuff they battered?  I wish I lived closer to you... I love to unpack boxes and organize...

Amy... Thanks for the heads up on Jewel's thread getting slimmer!  I know you've had your hands full with all the issues we've had getting on or staying on the forum.  Thanks for all you do!

Ginger... Thanks for letting us know to contact Amy with issues.  So... YOU'RE one of our lurkers.  HAH... You let the cat out of the bag, didn't you?  lol

Nora... I'm so glad that Joe has been moved home to Cresco's hospital!  So much easier for you!  Tell him I'm thinking of him and hope he gets well real fast!  Thanks for letting us know how he's doing.  Maybe you're right about the torching of the ghost...  lol

JP... Sure is nice to see you every morning again!  Thanks for the greetings and for the puzzles you've been posting in the other threads!  Just saw your comment about "nothing older than JP"!  lol  But... There are almost 10 million people older than you!  That's good news!  lol

rues and obsver... Are you two still getting rain?  Are you both busy making cookies and wrapping presents and decorating?   ;)

Hi Eaglette!  HI blschue!

I used to work with a lady named Kitty...   ;D

While I was working today, the man came home and said he had been in NY for a few days.  His mother lives up there, and she has dementia and has people that come and stay with her.  Well, he went up to see her because she was in the hospital with 8 broken ribs and punctured lung.  He said she either fell or was pushed!!  I said Why do you say that??  He said his mom said she was pushed, but they weren't sure because of the dementia.  So sad.  I sure hope I don't end up like that...

Hope all are well and have a good evening!

Willi I LOVE that house!!!  Wish I was closer too!

Joe & I messed with the laptop they brought to his room for him to use.  I told him I'd pass this on.  He posted this in his group in FaceBook.
"Well I am back in Cresco in swing bed at the local hospital.  Nice to be back in Cresco, just wanted to thank everyone for the cards and calls"

He was all happy.  The older couple up the street (well older than us) were just leaving when I was coming and the couple that are so super about helping out with Sparky were just leaving when the second couple got there.  Now Sally and Rose have finally met.  The guys knew each other.

That wind is SO cold today.

Yes house has 2 stories but a bed and bath on the main in case. It has handrails on both sides of stairs so I don't have to go up and down on my butt.Built in 2005. Former house built in 1900. I have one stair to get outside and I can walk to the riverwalk. It is across the street from an old lumber mill pond filled with Bufflehead ducks, mallards and seagulls. Even saw Kingfisher today. Then the riverwalk is behind the pond, then tgh Columbia River

Heya, ra and cal -- I pretty much lurk on all the threads but mostly only post in the Decoeah Eagles thread.  I like reading your thread because you all have a good sense of humor and are so nice to each other -- although I understand that rues is the "nicest" one.   ;) :D
