Hi Jewelies! It was 26 here this morning when I left the house!  Brrr... again! Turned out pretty nice though.

JP... Yup, you need to buy yourself an early Christmas present!  That stuff is so aggravating!  I bought myself an early present, too.  I just bought a new sewing machine.  I've had my old one for over 35 years and have had tension problems for awhile now.  Had it fixed once, but still never right.  I have found out that sewing machine repairmen are getting scarce... like some of the other repairmen are.  They all want you to send it back to the manufacturer, but mine is a Kenmore and I don't think they even make them anymore!

cal... See? I told you rues was the nice one!  So..when are you leaving?  lol  I think she might have to come a little early and learn how to take care of the horses, and the raccoons, and the mice, and the birds, and the hamsters, and Mom's cats, and your cats, and all the dogs... and... and.  LOL

rues... That sounds like a worry with Robin's thyroid.   When you go to cal's, you'll have so much to do that it will take your mind off of it though...  lol

Hope all are well and having a good day!  I'm officially on vacation until next Monday!  Yay!  I found out last night that we're all going to my daughter's inlaws' house for Thanksgiving.  Glad to at least know what we're doing!  lol  Tomorrow is youngest grand's birthday.  Haven't heard if we're getting together for that here or at a restaurant or what...

Speaking of thyroids... Did you hear the guy from Flip or Flop on HGTV, Tarek had thyroid cancer and it was found by a viewer??  She sent him an email and said he has a lump on his throat, she is a nurse, and he should get it checked.  Well, he did, and it was cancer!!  He had surgery and is good now and met the nurse on the show "The Doctors".  Did you guys know they have a new baby?  I remember that happened to a lady that used to be on one of my local tv stations, Jane Robelo.  She went to NY and a viewer noticed something wrong with her neck and it was cancer or something.  I don't remember the details... it's been a few years ago.

cal... I did forget Sweets, sorry Sweets.  Make sure you don't get those heat lights too close to the hay... You sure don't want a fire!

Cal, how weird you saying that you were tired of being a tough little girl...my older sister said the exact same thing to me about 3 hours ago! Remember she had surgery on the intestinal blockage about 4 months ago, well, she got a hernia near the incision. So this morning she had outpatient surgery to repair it.  She likes to think of herself as a tough old broad but this afternoon she was in terrible pain and finally took her pain meds, OxyContin. That's something she said she would never take. She called me crying and said she was tired of being the tough little girl! And did I think she was being a baby?  I hope I said the right things and made her feel better!   I agree with you about not having a dermo doc treat your thyroid!

Ra, I remember reading Dear Abby, I think it was, where a doctor was sitting behind this person at the theater. He noticed that the person had a suspicious looking mole on their neck So he told the person and that person had it checked out and it was skin cancer! I would hope that someone would tell me something like that! It could save your life!  I was wondering too if you were eating at the bear  hunters house!  I think I can handle all Cal's babies but I might need some guidance when it comes to horses! :D If I do, I'll call for you to come help me! :D

Shoot, Molly wants out! See you all tomorrow!

Yup, the bear hunter's house.  Great.   ??? I try my best to avoid him, but sometimes I have to suck it up.  Don't like it though...   >:(

Hi blschue!  I wish Bill could fix my 70's Kenmore!  I went to Sears' website today and they don't have any Kenmore sewing machines at all!  Singers and a lot of machines I've never heard of before.  Some quite pricey, too!   :o

Good Morning!

I ordeŗed a new computer.  With the holiday and then the weekend I probably won't get it until Monday.   I am developing a nasty sore throat.  I will go to the drug store and get stuff for it.  The sewing machine discussion reminded me thst I have one in its box in a closet.  I have not used it in over 20 years.  I used to be pretty good with one.  Made myself shirts, shortened trouser legs, etc.  I don't remember why I stopped using it.

We had our coolest night so far this Fall and a lot of northerly wind but I know a lot of you are having rough weather.  My hopes go out for that to end for all.

Hi JP! Cool new computer coming in! Something you will use every day so good investment. sorry about your sore throat..you can find something at the drug store for that..Cool you could sew jp..make a shirt and everything.. i use to sew long time ago when i actually had some time for that once in awhile..

Hi Rues! I feel so sorry for your sister!! i am sorry i didn't ask how she was doing..it's tough being tough!! i did not take a pain pill last night took half one this morning. i had too. could hardly move..told babe you have to help me now cause if i take anymore of that pain pill i will be asleep! that medicine they gave your sister that oxy junk gave me something like that after my rotator cuff surgery. extremely strong pain medicine made so dope sick i cried from it made me dope sick and still had horrific pain..dr. changed it for me to that hydrocoine or something like that..that was much better. bad enough being in pain don't need to be dope sick too. you can do the horses fine rues..just grain them yell at rose for running over and picking on soda get outta of the way when roxie lays down her ears cause she is reminding rose i am not soda..use that poop bucket you can't miss poop hill and fill up the water tank.

Hi Ra! I have my old sewing up in the attic somewhere..steve bought it for me in the 70's and it is a kenmore. i used it alot way back then..i got my mom's sewing machine down in sisters room. my is one you carry mom's on a little table. teri had one like my moms and the metal plate was worn down from her laying stuff on it and her arm..she sews really really well. makes all kinds of stuff for her grands house herself. here is my mom's sewing machine..i was my granny's then my mom's..it still works really good too. news talking about tons of rain thursday some of us getting freezing rain. i dont know about black friday..good deal on tv's  50 inch 269.00 walmart and 40 inch only 149!! our 70 inch is 898.00 when we got it it was 798.00 and the 65 inch was 698.00 55 inch smart hdtv 348.00! smart tv 40 inch 298.00 smart 32 198.00. so cost a little more for a smarter tv. stupid ones pretty cheap.

Hi Blschue!! Mr Bill can fix lots of stuff! teri's really old sewing machine like my mom's there is a singer. it too is on a table like mom's.

Oh my gosh, that dog shame! He's a lucky little dog, he could have been killed! :o My sister called me awhile ago to tell me that even after taking the pain med,  the pain got so bad last night that her husband called an ambulance! She spent most of the night in the ER and then finally they put her in a room. She felt better this morning so they let her go home after lunch. She says next time the doctor suggests she  stay overnight in the hospital, she will listen to him! He gave her 3 meds to take now!

Cal, I saw on the news where you are supposed to get a lot of rain tomorrow and maybe freezing rain! We are supposed to have a very nice day with temps near 65. Same for Black Friday but then over the weekend we are supposed to get slammed with the rain!  What a cool looking sewing machine! My mom's first machine was a treadle not electric. She made a lot of our clothes on that thing! Lots of doll clothes, too. Later on she got an electric one but still liked the old one better! Crow got me a Singer in a cabinet right after we got married. I mostly used it to pile things on. For the life of me, I don't know what ever happened to that thing! Several years ago, I got a little blue Kenmore portable machine at Kmart for $70. It does all I need it to do! How's Babe doing today? I think I'll be able to handle your horses! If not Ra can come help me! :D

Jp, yay, a new computer!

Hi Blshue! Got snow?

Hi Jewelies!  :)

I forgot to tell you guys that when I went out to the pharmacy Saturday, I had to get gas and it was only $1.71! I was shocked! I don't buy a lot of gas so I am always surprised one way or the other; it's either really expensive or cheaper than I thought it would be.

This is what I've been doing today; I will make the cheesy potatoes tomorrow. My house smells really good!

I found the Sweetos! Price Chopper had them. When I was checking out, the checker and the sackers were looking at the bag and saying they hadn't seen them before. That's so funny. I looked on the internet and they were in some markets back in February. I haven't tried them yet.

My son will be here from Phoenix for Christmas on Dec. 12! Josh won't be here until Dec. 18 and they won't be leaving until Dec. 28! What a nice long visit!  :D

My grandma was quite a seamstress. My daughter has her old treadle machine. She also has my mom's more modern one. I can sew but really hate it.

This is a video of Bei Bei and her mom playing.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx73mRu8s4Q

I have some phone calls to make for my German Shepherd rescue group so I better get to it. I do have a few pic for you guys.

Can you find Bei Bei? Mom kind of hides him sometimes  ;D

Bei Bei & his mom playing yesterday

This was earlier today. Bei Bei and his mom were in the den and his mom was trying to sleep. He was a wiggle worm and it was driving mom crazy! He was being really noisy too. She tried to hold him still and then sat up and just glared at him. Finally she Swiffered him out to the rock enclosure, got up on the rock and fed him until he went to sleep. Then she took her nap!

Hi to JP, Cal, Obsver, Rues, Ra, Willi, Pat, Nora, Blschue, Neva, Chippy, Deb, Eaglette and all who visit here. Have a good evening.

Hi Jewelies!  The gang just left.  Had Little Caesar's pizzas and birthday cake with ice cream.  Now, I have TWO teenage grands!  Yikes!  lol  Grand liked the stuff I got her... a jean jacket (very cool looking one), a dress, a top, and 3 pairs of earrings.  The oldest grand brought her boyfriend, too.  My daughter took both girls and their boyfriends to the movies today, then came here.  Her hubby had to work this afternoon, so he didn't get to go to the movie, just here for supper and cake.

cal... That wreath was very cool!  Someone is VERY creative! I hope you don't get that freezing rain!  Love your old sewing machine!  I have my grandmother's old one, but it doesn't work very well anymore.  It's in a cabinet, so just a table now.  I hope I can somehow put my new machine inside the cabinet the old one is in.  It's a nice cabinet, with storage and stuff.  It's a different kind, so I don't know if it will work...

rues... One thing to remember when you deal with cal's horses... You have to show them that YOU are the boss.  Can you even do that??  lol  They'll take advantage of you if you don't.  I feel so bad for your sister.  She was on some pretty high powered pain meds, but still in so much pain is awful.  I hope she doesn't have to suffer for long.  Are you going shopping on Friday?

dlong... Love all the pics today and every day!  You'll have a house full next month, won't you?  It'll be so nice to have a long visit with your kids!  Your pies look yummy. I have to make my dessert tonight yet.  I let my grands try the Sweetos and neither one of them like them!  No problem...more for me!  Gas was cheap!!  I never thought we'd see it under $2 again.

JP... I hope you get your new computer soon! At least, you're smart enough to set it up.  I'd have a hard time... I'm not very tech savvy at all.  lol

Off to make my dessert... Have a nice evening, Jewelies!

My goodness, Blschue!  That's quite a setup!  I'd be overwhelmed, I think.  lol  I like the old machine in the back... that's more my speed!  Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving! Are you cooking tomorrow?

Blshue, looks like you are in a seamstress shop!  :D Hope you don't get too much snow tomorrow!

Cal, glad that Babe's day was mostly good. Poor thing. A catheter would help but can you do that? I know I couldn't!  I should have let Sara bake my pie, too! Then I wouldn't be sitting here in the kitchen this time of night waiting for my pie to bake! I forgot all about it until an hour ago. I had to bake it tonight because no room in the oven for it tomorrow. You are probably sound asleep right now! Wish I was!

Ra, happy birthday to your grand! A new teenager! Sounds like she got very nice gifts from you! Did she like her cake? I think I will need your help for sure with Cal's horses because I'm a wimp and a push over and just too nice to be bossy! :D

Time to take that pie out of the oven! Now maybe I can go to bed! See ya all tomorrow!
