Hi Jewelies!  Yay!  Our trips to Columbia are over... for this year!   :)  What a long day!  The traffic was horrid, too... we ran into the Carolina football game traffic, the Ben Carson traffic, the Clemson traffic... Geez.  Glad everyone's teams won yesterday!    Hope Dr. Lynn gets better soon.

Nora... Had to laugh at your post!  Sounds like you need some alone time...  lol  Snow??  Yuck.

cal... Did it stay cold there today?  Do you have your snow shovel handy?  Which game are you watching today?  Will you cook a turkey for Jim and Polly?  I know you must hate that...

obsver... You got the snow, too??   Oh, my...

rues... Boy, that didn't take long for Tela to get comfortable there!!  lol  Putting stuff in Crow's shoes is so funny!  Is YOUR snow shovel ready for duty?   ;)  The sleigh ride sounds good again!

JP... Hope you're enjoying your lazy day today!  Sounds good to me, that's what I'm doing, too.

Cal, lol. You're so right...no cuss words from the Mole Hole during the game yesterday! Crow said Kansas must really be bad if the Mountaineers could beat them by that much! Still hates the coach! Sure hope whatever is wrong with Dr Rogers isn't serious. Cool pics of Sydney! There she goes again doing that thing that I can't remember what it's called! :D

Nora, loved your little snow removal graphics! (I think that's what they are called!) Glad you didn't get a lot of snow! If we got any it was overnight and it melted before I got up! :D I hear you and I know where you are coming from concerning whiney husbands! Mine is one of the worst! I often wonder what he would do if I whined and complained like he does...probably ignore me.

Jp, what new music project are you working on? Kind of a snow theme in your post today!

Obsver, I'm still so happy that you made Julie an inside cat! I don't want to even think about a snow shovel on my porch!  :D I would look like a shaggy dog if I hadn't had a hair cut since August!  :D

Happy Belated Birthday Maddie Rose! Hope you got some nice toys and some good treats!

Ra, how did the girls do? We're there a lot of squads there? Ugh, traffic! Sounds like you ran into all of it! Bad day to travel in Columbia!  Robin called and said all her house guest had left so we got everything ready to take the kitties back home this afternoon. Put both kitties in their separate crates. Next thing I see is Wilson unzipping the door on his crate and running back outside to the porch! There's a zillion birds at the feeders and he has been staying out there watching them! Guess he didn't want to leave! His crate is the kind with the mesh sides and a mesh zippered door with 2 of those zipper pulls. I had both of the zipper pulls meeting at the top center of the door. Made it very easy for him to put his paw in between the zipper things and pull down and open the door! Out he went! :D  I went to get him on the porch and man was he mad! This time I zippered it with both those zipper pulls at the bottom. No escape this time! (Does this make any sense?) All the way home he hissed and growled at me! He forgot all about when he got home! Now I miss him and Tela! But they will both be back here Thursday!

Got some pics of Tela this weekend that I will post. But I have to go to my laptop to post them because I don't know how to do them on this iPad! Bbl!

Hi Jewelies!  :)

I have on my fuzzy bathrobe and fuzzy socks and I'm still cold. It's 44 out (feels like 36). Luckily it's nice and sunny. My daughter and I went to Walmart at 7:00 am today. She hates to go there so I promised I would shop fast. I was finished well before she was and we were still looking at clothes for her when it started getting more crowded. We got back to my house about 8:30.

I have had a busy week this last week. I have a NEW JOB! Not one that I get paid for but I am enjoying it. It's for Missouri German Shepherd Rescue (MOGS). I get the applications for the folks who want to adopt or foster German Shepherds and call their vets and other references, run them through some pet cruelty sites, and interview them. It's something I can do from home. All the applications and forms are on the internet so pretty easy to do.  My daughter had volunteered to be a foster person for them and got a dog named MacMillan who had heartworms. He was on medication and not feeling very well. Anyway, she has failed as a foster because now MacMillan is my new grand-dog!! He has been adopted by my daughter. I knew that would happen! Here he is:

That pic was taken when she first got him in October and he didn't feel very well. He smiles a lot more now!

This week I also had 3 doctor appointments, 2 on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday. Then my cleaning lady was here on Wednesday too. Thursday was my cooking class. It was fun and I came home with 16 meals ready to throw into the freezer. Friday I had to get some laundry done and I have been using all the time in between to catch up on books. I am reading Faye Kellerman's new one call "The Theory of Death" and I also have a newer Sue Grafton to read. So I have had hardly any time to watch any cameras or do anything else!

JP Sorry you are not feeling well today. I liked your snowy greeting and loved that picture of Braveheart. She has wonderful eyes. I saw on the weather map yesterday that there were storms headed your direction and wondered if you were getting stormed on.

Cal That's a nice big bed for Babe. Too bad it's so high. Maybe you can get Drama and Calihoula to sleep on it and leave the bed to you. Can't believe how cold it got all of a sudden, but at least there's no ice or anything bad like that.

Rues I'm glad to hear Tela is having fun now at your house. I hope you get to go on your sleigh ride again. Kansas City has the big Plaza lighting ceremony on Thanksgiving night. It's always a complete zoo! Then on Friday, they light the Mayor's Christmas Tree at Crown Center. I worked in the building on the left for a long time.  Here is last year's tree:

All of that area is owned by Hallmark. Their corporate offices are in Kansas City. Anyway, across the street from the tree is a building with lots of shops and restaurants. Every year there is a big display of Hallmark ornaments and cards from years past and also current ones. It's really interesting. The ornaments and cards are hung on trees. Very festive! Donald Hall, who was head of the company after his father died, used to wander around the area and talk to people. I talked to him several times. Here's a few of the trees:

Ra I forgot to look for those Sweetos at Walmart today! I knew there was something I forgot to put on my list. Maybe I will look for them tomorrow. I love cinnamon stuff. I am going to my daughter's house on Thanksgiving. I am baking 2 pumpkin pies and making cheesy potatoes. Then on Friday, my sister is having an After-Thanksgiving Get-Together. Relatives and friends will be there. Several of my first cousins are coming. I don't have to take anything to that gathering. There will be TONS of food and booze for all! LOL!

Obsver I have read Lisa Scottoline books in the past. I like her writing. How much snow did you get? I was kind of half listening to the Weather Channel this morning and they mentioned northern Indiana but I missed the snow amounts. My doctor says that even with my bad hip and exercise bike would be good for me. She says you can set them for no resistance and that would be good for my joints (other than the hip which is already too far gone.)

Nora I was watching the Weather Channel the other night when the snow was creeping up on you. Men are the worst when it comes to being sick. OMG, most of them are such babies! (Not you, JP)

I looked at the Decorah nest Friday before the snow and just as I turned it on, here came Dad with a stick. He is looking awesome as ever!

This is a lonely looking sight. Cold too! This is the polar bear cam on explore.org

This is one of the 7 orphaned cubs that are at the Wildlife Center of Virginia. I think he looks a little sleepy.

This is Ted's house. I took this pic on Friday. He is in there but you can't see him. I'm sure he is snoozing.

These two pics were on the Zoo Atlanta Facebook page. They are of the twins but I don't know who is who.

These are videos of Bei Bei at the National Zoo. In the first one, from yesterday. mom Mei plays with him and tries to get him to play with her. In the second one, she drags him all over the place, many times moving him like a Swiffer Sweeper. Poor little guy, he gets shoved around all the time. AND, mom drops him on his head!

Bei Bei napping this morning.

Bei Bei looks like he has given up completely! LOL! Such a cutie!

Hi to Neva, Willi, Deb, Blschue, Pat, Chippy, Eaglette and all who visit here. I hope you are having a good day!  :)

Congrats Dlong on your new granddog! What a sweetie!  I know I could never be a foster parent because I could never give them back! And how cool is that new job! That's a good thing you are doing! I'd love to visit K.C. and see all the sights! That Hallmark display looks very interesting! Wish I had 16 meals in my freezer! Thanks for all your pics! Poor Bei Bei being dropped on his head and being drug around like a Swiffer duster! Do they have a CPS for bears? :D

Here's a couple pics of Tela out on the porch...

Here's one of Wilson and Tela. They were sitting there together looking so cute but by the time I got ready to take the pic they moved! ::)

Wilson watching a bird...

One more...here's a little bouquet I picked yesterday. Apparently my azalea doesn't know it's fall! There are about 15 blooms on the  bush! It's the bush there in the corner in the pics with Wilson and Tela. Most of it's leaves have fallen. Weird.

Hi dlong!  Sounds like a good job for you!  I couldn't foster either... I've never been inside a Humane Society or Animal Shelter... I'd take home every cat in the place!  Can't just take one, you know... I would feel sorry for the ones I didn't pick, then it would snowball from there!  lol  Love the pics you show us!  KC is beautiful and love all the Hallmark trees!  Very cool!  You've had a very busy week!  Glad you're feeling up to all of it!  Bei Bei has gotten big!  Now I see where they get the biting from... Mom was being a little rough with him. I couldn't watch the video where he fell... I knew it was coming and quit watching.  Their bones must be like rubber, the way they fall all over the place and are fine!   :D  I love that the Decorah eagles are using the starter nest!  They've done a lot to it, too!   Wow!  16 meals!!  That's great!

Hi rues!  Wilson and Tela are pretty babies!  Tela is really growing, isn't she?  Why does Wilson have his ears back?  or maybe ear...  lol   Handsome has been outside most of the day today... he was pretty mad at me for leaving him in all day yesterday.  Your azalea must be one of those "Encore azaleas"... they bloom spring and fall here.  I knew exactly what you were talking about with the carrier.  Wilson was really mad at you, wasn't he??  Yikes!  The girls didn't do so well at the competition... they came in 15th out or 16.   :o  But, they beat the next town over, they came in 16th!  lol  There were 16 teams in each of the categories... 2A, 3A and 4A.  We're 3a.  The same team won it that won last year in our group.  I told my grand that it was the coach's fault... Every week she changed things, so it was really easy to get confused.  I thought they looked good, but I wasn't asked to rate them...  lol  May be a little prejudice, too.   :)  Her boyfriend is going to their house to watch a movie this afternoon!   :o  :o  :o  And, now it starts...  His birthday is on the same day as hers!

Hi cal... I watch the Carolina Panther games occasionally, especially since they're undefeated.  Did they win today?  Our big rivalry game is next Saturday against the Gamecocks.  Sounds like your Wildcats had an exciting game yesterday!  Glad MSU beat Ohio State!  Now, U of M needs to do the same next week!  It's hard for me to forget the rivalry that the MI teams always had with Ohio State.  lol  Cydney's squad did really great!  I hate that they make up the little girls just like the big ones.  Look like hussies!  lol  I told my cheer grand that, and she asked me what a hussie is.  lol  I told her a couple of other names for them, and she laughed at me!  lol  I'll be nice and not post the names here...   ;D  The puzzle was so funny today!!  lol

Hi willi!

Hi to everyone else, too!

LOL, cal!  Yes, I kept the Sweetios to myself, too!  Ate them all before daughter and the girls came and ate them all!  lol  Glad Babe had a decent day today.  I wonder if that stance is called a liberty..  I hear the grand talk about doing a "lib..."  Like I know what she's talking about!!  lol  Glad the Panthers are still undefeated.

Happy Birthday Maddie Rose!!

Thank you, Cal.  Maddie had a great day.  She is eleven now, and doing pretty good.  No sign of anymore tumors, and I have managed to get four lbs. off of her.  She shared a bit of her treats with little Zoe.

Hi Nora and Rues ...  Maddie did have a good day.   :)

Bear people said this...Dr. Rogers is feeling better, but he forgot (until Donna called) that there was a "Thanksgathering" Church dinner tonight. He had to rush out of the office to make it in time. Update delayed until tomorrow! - LG

Hi, Jewelies! Snow is melting off the tree branches-actually, pretty nice out there. Thank goodness we we only got 2 inches, much less than Chicago and it's surrounding area. I got my last haircut Oct. 15--NOT Aug. Julie had chewed up Oct. on the big calendar, and I forgot to get my card signed at the beauty shop. When I get the card filled up, I get $10 off off the next cut. Now, things make sense!

Neva, happy birthday to your sweet Maddie Rose! It's so great she is doing so well!!!!! Hearing that makes my day!

Dlong, that's a lot of doc. appts. I'll se sleeping in my socks until next April. As always, thank you so much for the pics.. Janet Evanavich's new Stephanie Plum book is supposed to be out--if you haven't read her, you MUST. Start with the first one, though. It's called One for the Money. She's up to 22.

Cal, you do so much to show how much you love your furry family. Best wishes to Babe.

Ra, I'll bet your grand's cheerleading group did a good job and looked pretty darn cute!

Rues, I have always liked orange cats. I have 2 outside, Sweetie and Leroy Brown. Both strays--after staying here for a year, we had them neutered at the discount place in Ft. Wayne.

Hi, Willi, bischue, jp, deb, pat, chipppy, eaglette! Nora, sounds like you got a lot more snow than I did. Good luck with Joe. We women can handle pain, etc. a lot better than men!!!!! lol
