Warming up here, but still no rain. This morning was cold, though. I mowed the yard yesterday, but it was mostly to get rid of the buckhorn. Cal, I sent you a pm. Let me know if you didn't get it.  Ra, hope you are enjoying your vacation and have good weather. Rues, I got a haircut yesterday. I'm undecided if the sides are a little too long. Me getting scissors anywhere near my hair is a receipt for disaster, so I'm kind of leery of clipping them myself. When I was in jr. high (middle school to the youngsters here), I created such a disaster that I told my mom I was NOT going to school. Well, of course she made me go.

Hi Jewelies!  It's like 95o here today, and not much breeze, so I excused myself from the beach a little early today.  Ready to be back home!  It's hard spending this much time with 2 teenagers... one wants to sit in the shade with her phone and the other gripes all the time.  We have threatened to let them stay home next time.  There are a whole lot of people on the beach, so our biggest amusement is people watching!   :o  lol  We DID get to see dolphins a couple of times from our balcony... very cool!

obsver... What is buckhorn?

cal... How long does Tasha have to be in quarantine, do you know?  Glad you got some new hay!  Hopefully, you won't need to use it for awhile if the girls will just stay outside!  lol

JP... Hope your test results were good!

rues... Last night around 10pm, we had a knock on the door again.  Daughter and I just happened to be in the hall and hurried to open it!  It was one of the cheer coaches and another girl... they had the wrong room.  They went next door.   I thought about it, and decided to go over there and tell the coach about what had been going on and the head coach just happened to be there, too.  They asked if we could identify the girls, and my daughter said, not sure, and I said all I know is one had her arm inside a giant cereal box.  The coaches said that would be so-and-so.  They asked if we would be willing to go upstairs with them and see if we knew and of the girls up there, so we did.  We recognized one of them, and she said she recognized us, too.  Their room is right above ours and we told them to stop with the jumping and music when it was time for us to go to bed.  They apologized, the coaches said they would take care of it, and we came back here.  The coaches said they had gotten complaints from security about the girls already.

Hi everyone!

Ra, I thought the same thing...what is buckhorn? Lol! Glad you guys talked to the adults in charge of those annoying girls! Funny about the girl with her arm in a giant cereal box! Lol! That made me laugh! When are you heading home, Saturday? My traveling sis just called me from Prescott, AZ. They got there this afternoon. She says there's a wildfire nearby. They are having lunch tomorrow with some old friends. She asked me how her kitty, Shadow, is doing. Asked if he had bitten me yet. Told her yes, he has bitten me and scratched me, too! I didn't tell her that after he scratched me today, while I was cleaning out his litter box, I flung some water at him. He is so mean.

Cal, Crow only wears his teeth when he goes somewhere! My mom wore her's all the time. Only took them out at bedtime. I thought with those implants he would keep them in more often. Seems popping them in and out so much would weaken the implant posts. Oh, well, it's just money. That sounds like a good price on that hay...from $6 to $2.50!  I love that smell of fresh cut field. Always reminds me of my grandma's house.

Obsver, give me your scissors and I trim your hair! But then you'll probably have to stay indoors till it  grows back! Lol!

Jp, how did your test turn out? Hope everything is ok!

Rues, thanks for the offer! lol   I think I'm not going to look at the scissors and pretend that everything is ok. Ra, buckhorn is a weed that has a thin stem with a top with the shape of a cattail but sort of lacy. Maybe it isn't called that in other parts of the country.,, We googled  it, and it is evidently a kind of plantain--it shows a picture of it.

Jewel.  A sleeping little cub in 2009

My test results were fine.  Leg circulation is good.  Now, I am to take a stress test in early July.  The cardiologist group finds me in great condition.

I overslept because  was watching the Marlins game.  They won 10-2.

For all, good thoughts. May you enjoy this fine Friday.

Bear people said this......No update tonight. We worked on the powerpoints today, then Dr. Rogers rushed home to spend some time with his blushing bride of almost 40 years! Happy Anniversary Lynn and Donna Rogers! - LG

Good morning jewelies! it is 71 here and weatherman said today will be the hottest day of the year so far.oh no got to hurry and do my chores and mow.

Hi JP! Love that pic of jewels sleeping cub! I am happy the royals did not have a game last night. so they did win but did not lose yet again. yay for your marlins! so happy your test was so good and your cardio team says you are doing so good!!

Hi Rues! my dad wore his teeth all day too just took them out when he was sleeping. once he was sleeping on the couch he worked really late and was watching tv fell asleep and our black lab Boris got his teeth off the coffee table and had them in his mouth. i got them out and dad was stirring around so i just put them back on the table. dad woke up said hi to me and put them back in. i said nothing!  that is a mean cat your sister got. be careful cause remember my puzzle yesterday..cats are killers rues. tell what your keeping up is today do you get to see it or will a pledge deal mess you up too. if you get to see it then by the time mine gets back on will be caught up or you may go ahead.

Hi Obsver! i went to the barn last night to feed the racoons and that cat and she was way up high on my hay and i saw a little tail. climbed all the way up there and she has 4 kittens! they are little but big enough to run around i could cry. she was licking them but when they saw me they took off. so i don't know how old they are but i remember trying to catch sweetness took like 6 months so hoping i don't a hard time getting any of them. pretty sure a couple of those kittens are girls of course. and got to get the mom. i think this lady vet in richmond cheaper than pete. ed did not like her but i know lots of people that use her to spray a dog or cat and i cannot 140.00 a cat. i can't do that at all. i don't want a zillion cats.

I got to go so late hi to all you guys.
