No catfish today, but that is ok.  I will try again. I don't eat them anyway.  All must be returned unharmed to the water.  I get my fish from Friday Night Fish Fry's, and they are cod or perch.  I would take you there if you were closer.  The only fish I ever bought from the grocery was Mrs. Paul's or other fish sticks.  Not fresh fish.  At least not yet, but you got me thinking. LOL
Cal, we think blowing kisses to vultures does admittedly sound a little different, but more important is what does Scout think?  Or Mrs. Scout?
Was a treat watching Holley out and about today.

The Moment has Come - UPDATE April 27, 2023

At 1:14 AM, 8-year-old Spanky, son of Shadow, arrived and was immediately recognized by our volunteer assistant bookkeeper "Eyes of the Night" Peggy Stubbs. She was doing her bookkeeping where she could also watch for bears—and there he was. The video team documented that he was here at the WRI from 1:14 AM to 3:05 AM. "Eyes" hoped he would go on the scale, but Spanky had other ideas. "Eyes" went with the flow, snapping pictures that showed his uniquely identifying, steeply slanted, somewhat bulbous forehead and that showed a new feature that will identify him at least temporarily—a bare bear butt. Areas of bare skin after hibernation are usually from mange on the muzzle and forehead—areas that are kept warm and moist by exhaled air when bears hibernate with their heads tucked under their chests. I can’t explain Spanky’s situation. Areas laid bare by mange grow new fur in spring and summer. We’ll see if that holds for Spanky. It was good to see him and remember what he taught us in 2021 when he denned under the porch of a North American Bear Center Founding Member who did everything possible to make the den cam a success.

This afternoon, Spanky did what "Eyes" hoped he would do last night. He got on the scale and showed that he weighed 263, down 25% from his 349 pounds of September 10 last year.

hi you guys its 50 here 43 in iceland 55 in kyiv and 55 in the barn put a smile on my face to read about spanky! thank you eyes for the pics of him. laughing at tasha cleaning out everything of hollys in her rock den. and bare bear butt  many good things going on up there.

hi joho i know you do not harm any fish you catch you let them go  jim buys those fish sticks i dont think mrs paul but maybe thinking another brand he gets at price choppers. fish sticks  i think scout likes the kisses cause he always comes back for more he does not like resting in his dead tree next to  indys pasture and the dogs running out with mouths going full blast and running down to the end of their yard. i yell sorry scout mrs scout and so far still just the three here.

hi neva saw on the weather channel cheyenne it was 34 and said snow getting ready to start in 2 minutes cool but how did they know 2 min and saw you had 71. no snow. poor spanky hope his hair grows back quick on his butt.

Another long day of solitaire here.
Lots of bear activity at the center, and people on pond cam.  Tasha putting on a show all over the place.  Holley hiding.  I don't know where.  Maybe in Ted's pen.
Well I will go now to start something.  Not sure what, will have to do with dogs, pancakes, firemen,and rain.  53 degrees outside.  Feels good , but damp.

hi joho last night i watched our local news showing people at union station and walking around for NFL draft and pretty cool chiefs picked felix from kstate too but along the streets of bars and eating and autographs etc was parked the cleveland browns dawg bus. so cool had the big dog painted on it at the very front and inside so cool. lots of cleveland fans to watch their picks they showed the food places the lines were so long but the food looked really good and lots of it. big helping i thought of you. first day they sold out of bbq but yesterday had tons more and lines were long.

joho i forgot on nfl draft here said been like 300,000 and not one arrest not one crime

neva just saw on tv showing that ron desantis book ban telling schools what kids can read nora roberts mad banned 7 or 8 of her books like these kids wont find a way to read them for sure now but hilter days on books. showed states also joining in on bans mo ks which shocked me on ks not mo but your state is not banning books you got a good state and also no stupid daylight savings either.

Going to open house next door after while.  Man is celebrating his recent retirement.  The wife is a strong fan of the Cleveland Indians ( Guardians) baseball team.
I will have a celebratory drink of some kind with them, and go on about my Sat. errands.  I am out of essentials today.  Like milk and bread.  Will get some Walmart Italian for $1.49 and some Nickels Italian for what ever it costs. I will probably go to Drugmart for the milk, because the Walmart milk does not seem to stay fresh as long as the Drugmart milk.
Well need to get cleaned up a little so CUL EV1 GBU and GB Ukraine.

hi you guys its 44 here windy local weather lady just said very high windy day today hope no one starts a fire its 44 in iceland 58 in kyiv and 53 in the barn. little donkey looking at cam in the barn and sparrow sitting off to the side in cam and a mule and i think another mule not sure can only see the back half. no gate up they all get along.  wish everyone did that.

hi joho did you go to that open house? to me it will always be the cleveland indians. i am almost out of cat food hope i can make till in the morning. new cat in the barn starving i fed it last week so now it is in the barn maybe does not like it yellow cat i thought was preg jim called lady across the street she is the vet tech rescues cat said catch it bring it over she will fix it find a home. but right now it come in the barn for food and be safe. my niece jeanne is going to call me in a bit she has new ownership on her job been working workends long hours she did her errands yesterday so she could talk to me this morning i got to get my stuff done

4:01   YAY! A new record for me I think. Got a good rest last night, and mouse did good too.
Yes, I did go next door to congratulate Rich.  I did not stay for drinks and food though.  I wanted to get my bread and milk and go see Billy if was home. He was and I stayed at his house for most of the afternoon.  He has a new best friend he rescued from a school grounds two months ago.  She is a Minpin.  He found her as he was traveling around town on his errands.  He is an appliance repairman.  So he covers a lot of the area every day.  He watched this little dog for several days before trying to lure her to him for rescue.  She only weighed 6 pounds when he took her to his vet.  Now she is at 10 pounds and is very spry.  He is guessing she is young.  Perhaps a year or two.  She was very shy to me when I came in.  It took about an hour and three Pupperoni to get to pet her.  Then I went to the county pound to revisit the older girl dog Debbie wants to adopt as soon as she can.  I was too late though.  They were locking up when I got there. It was after 5, and they close at 4:30.  I will go back to visit her on Tuesday.  They are closed on Monday. 
Today I am thinking of going to Lafayette Twp. Firemen's last pancake breakfast for this Spring.  I wish I had someone to ride along.  I don't like to eat alone even though I do it every day since I am on my own.
Well second coffee is getting cold, so I will sign off for. CUL EV1 GBU and GB Ukraine.

Hi Cal ...  Thanks for the compliment about Arizona.  We lucked out in the last election with who we didn't get for the top job.  I hope we're lucky in the next election.

Michelle just checked thermometer on back porch and it says  100°, but that is not official, it has to be out at the International Airport.

Joho ...   You are a busy guy, but why not?  I think you probably brighten up a few people's days as you go along.

hi joho i love your day! you are such a good soul i mean really good neva you are too. i did not have a real good day i did with my animals let indy out it was extra windy i went to call him he ran into the corral in the barn let me comb him out so anyway coming here really made me feel better.
i know you are tired of being alone but i would not be. you are never alone joho. if i lived by you i would go eat pancakes with you. i think i just saw brad pitt in a tv commericial for coffee i think true something.  joho amazing time on the puzzle!

hi neva your thermo is just so cool! i saw on weather channel talking about first triple digit but not you said phoenix today i dont know if it happened just now in my room watching tv got weather channel on dont see you yet 97 too hot for me my dogs sweets hates hot weather not sure on indy but when it got little hot he came in. barn staying nice and cool so far. its 58 here weather channel says but i got my window ac on ceiling fan on dogs all flaked out sleeping in my bed im getting ready to join them.
