An Amazon delivery driver was found dead in Missouri after a suspected dog attack Monday night.
The delivery worker was dropping off packages at a home in Excelsior Springs, Mo., an area outside Kansas City, when he was apparently attacked and killed. Authorities were investigating whether two dogs who lived at the home, and whose owners were out of town, may have been responsible.
Deputies found the man’s body outside the home, with what looked like bite marks “all over his body,” Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers said.
Childers said he shot and killed the two dogs, a German shepherd and mastiff, after they behaved aggressively.
The delivery driver was about 50, Childers said. Authorities are waiting to identify the man until the medical examiner has determined the cause of death and notified the man’s family.
“We’re deeply saddened by [Monday’s] tragic incident involving a member of our Amazon family and will be providing support to the team and the driver’s loved ones,” Amazon spokesperson Lisa Levandowski said in a statement.
Jim said those dogs were in their fenced yard and sign up keep out and beware of dogs i just talked to missy she said yes dogs in fence yard signs up and people were out of town had family checking on the dogs. so like them i have a problem with childress shooting those dogs. i am sure they acted aggressively coming on their property. my friend duane had a dog part shepherd part wolf havoc and he was in his fenced yard huge privacy fence with signs posted and his neighbor came in and got bit and havoc in trouble at vet for 10 days and duane sued paid 5,000. what the hell.
