hi neva! pearl doing good but i dont want to jinx it only second day on full dose i will feel better when its been a month she is doing good with her wall feeder. jim put boards on the back put it on her gate. i like it up high no way she can slid her legs under it well she could go under the gate but its high and can be moved swing out. im so happy i got it from susies barn it was roses and fire did not get it. yes ukraines teaching us good lessons.  teach people to be humble too. too bad putin does see that at all not sure china does. jim could not get calihoula to come in i opened the door cali come on im going to feed mom cats. she came right in past jim went to door down to the basement. so i went down fed mom cats some more can food give cali the cans to lick out.

hi joho jim will go but it says to call day before once before he did that and it was canceled. i cant hear out of my left ear birth defect i use to be upset but then lucky to still have hearing in my right ear. my moms side others deaf and it never went to my other ear so jury people took me off the list.  good cause hard to get around and have so many animals to care for.  cul gb

hi you guys its 43 here pearl is good maybe in the barn everyone came last night all food was gone. i saw on the news earlier that pres biden is going to brussels to meet with nato leaders show support for ukraine so happy about that and maybe show china something. i have not watched cnn really for last two days monday all day with my pearl and yesterday pearl alot too working in the barn. i got to hurry go clear down to the city so dr can look and see my stitches are gone and cap still on my implant and pick up pearls new prescription for full dose. God Bless ukraine!

hi you guys saw dr first took wrong turn got lost in the city scary but called and they told me where to go but they had it backwards so more lost called jim and he told me where my turn off is pulled up robin from there calling me worried im here dr said it looked very good very clean good job go back in june listen to zelensky speech what a brave man brave people of ukraine so happy biden moved by it and get more help still no fly zone nato afraid but getting more weapons other stuff if ukraine can blow down putins air stuff and nato now hmmm getting close to our border yes you may just have to help all the way. i thought that russian soldiers fighting for an evil dictator ukraine for their freedom their land. so good to see ukraine rescued that mayor!  that awful video zelensky was talking about i do not want to see it but good world did yes joe putin is a war criminal. blow dart in the neck god bless you ukraine and all your people and pres zelensky

Spring Is Coming, Tasha Knows It - UPDATE March 16, 2022

With spring just four days away, the temperature reached 53°F. "Taught" caught Tasha breaking snow and coming halfway out at the Bear Center in this 35-second video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3X7av7hNgo. Word was that she later went up on top of her rock den.

On Woods Lake out the window, snow is melting off the ice, revealing whatever eagle food has frozen into it. An eagle was picking at a brown blotch that Donna and I could hardly see from a tenth of a mile away. As the eagle headed toward a bigger lake, I could hardly believe my camera focused on it through the trees. Back at the brown blotch, four crows were immediately on it. An hour later, it was two eagles.

On this sunny day, redpolls showed their colors—this one with feathers missing from its forehead.

On a melancholy note, the green van that so many of you have ridden in during Black Bear Field Courses is sitting in the North American Bear Center parking lot rusted and tired, waiting for the junk man. Visible behind it is the replacement 10-passenger van that has never gone over the cliff that made us all scream and then ask to do it again. Fun. So many memories.

hi you guys its 50 here one maybe cat one raccoonie 56 in the barn pearl doing good. love docs pics we all do we just love doc period. sad about the green van but he had so much in it. hard to let it go. i still have my dads little car sitting in jims shop open the door smells like dad cig and shaving lotion his cane in there i have to pick up groceries lots of rain heading here worried about the barn flooding that is something pearl does not need at all. 7:27 Happy to you all too.  Just don't over do the green beer.
43° at 9:15.  Going to 65.  I will be walking in Columbia Reservation today.  May try biking too. Did walk yesterday and wound up at Chili's for dinner.  Had a huge salad and then a puzzling array of stuff they called combo fajitas. Served on a hot cast iron tray that was smoking a lot when they brought it to the table.  I mean a lot.  I wish I had a picture of it.  It was impressive. Was all tasty though, and not much left over.
I don't recall why I did not post yesterday.  I will offer that my puter is going flaky. It was awful. Had to call guru to get the image resized.  I could not see the upper right corner that has controls . Took us a awhile to resize everything.  Now I can at least see the "X" to turn off screen.  I will say this is my excuse, but really it was because I wanted to get out and about on a very nice day, and just forgot.  Sorry.
No coffee yet.  So GTG CUL EV1 GB and GB Ukraine.

Hello guys, I hope that your day is going well.  I went to an afternoon appointment to get allergy shots that I get every two weeks.  They help a lot.  It was nice getting out.  Tonight we are having our usual 'Irish dinner' though someone told me once that Corned Beef and Cabbage isn't Irish   I think by now, it has become Irish.  Anyway, it tastes good.  Michelle loves it, so she is in charge of making it.

I'm happy that Pearl is doing well Cal.

hi you guys its i think 40 and rain is on its way not happy about that. one maybe cat in the barn griz is barking away i could not watch ukraine yesterday no words for such evil sooner or later more will have to get involved. i mean nato what if hilter came back then what well he is back. after joe said putin is a war criminal and of course he is more bombing more kids more people more animals. jim says putin is a dead man walking well we kinda need to stop him walking.

hi neva! good you got your allergy shot and had a nice dinner. oh griz. jim thought he found a riding mower i would like he told me to look it up at lowes good i did cause not the mower i wanted he thought it was no gas pedaled but it was but they did have mine manual transmission got like 7 speeds just put in oh like 4 and take off foot can rest and with my feet problems and knee and etc nice to do that esp mowing large areas like i do. its a sears craftman i feel bad for murray but i need a mower that i can just get on and go murray burnt oil quit for a bit and tires always had to have air put in them chore just to get it ready. time for new one. griz i am coming

Good morning EV1.  No morning after here.  Never found any green beer.  Tried only half heartedly to get some.  Instead made arrangement for Sat. get together with a young friend who has made some wildlife videos and wants to share them.
Now coffee and paper are calling.  So CUL EV1 have a good Friday and GB you and Ukraine.

By now, snow in her home state of Kentucky would be disappearing or gone. I suspect she is genetically wired to start roaming about now, but here she could hardly negotiate the snow to get on top of her rock den. Gray jay

She finally did, though, rubbed on some conifers, and sniffed the snow carefully—maybe for snow fleas on the surface now. They are the first food of spring (starts in two days) as they gather into clumps to mate around the time of snow melt. I didn’t see her lick the snow in the video, though.

Tasha also had a hard time getting back down to her den entrance. I felt like I was reading her mind as she repeatedly backed down to the edge of the flat rock that covers her den but couldn’t bring herself to slide down backwards to the entrance. Finally, she found a way around the problem and disappeared into the darkness of her den.

At the WRI, Pretty Girl let me see her for the first time in a long time at 8:15 last evening. I had a drumstick and four little blueberry mini-muffins waiting for her as I waited at my desk to click her responses. To my surprise, she ate all four muffins, loving them, before touching the drumstick. She chewed them with her very white teeth facing me in good light—interspersed with periods of intense alert.

Where did the redpolls go? Yesterday, they were a blanket out the window. Today it was crows, gray jays, and chickadees. Have redpolls started back for their arctic home?

hi you guys its 36 here clear one maybe cat one raccoonie raccoonie running up to me for the twinkie maybe hissing at it yelling at maybe love love the update pics and pretty back for doc. he was ready for her too. hope bob is okay too. hope all of them are okay. eww on snow fleas we are to get next week for 3 days i do not like spring. it means rain mean barn flooding huge work for me and jim and i do not like fleas will have to start treating dogs cats sweets do not like mosquitos hay i spelled it right first time but i do like my tvs back and i will like my barn swallows back and they will take care of the mosquitos. then heat of summer and trying to keep barn cool with ac we need to put a new bigger one in and penny with her grass allergies and having to put her on pred and she has to pee all the time  i just want peace in ukraine all this stuff is petty to what they are going thru. oh griz

hi neva! jim came home yesterday with my new mower crafty we put him in the garage on the other side with my 4 wheeler. i feel bad for murray sitting outside with a tarp over him but i have to have a mower i can use. still. i watched cnn a little last night seeing mom crying over her dead kid cause of putin bombs had to switch it off this morning at 3 am saw said pres zelensky saying better have peace talks or else. nato everyone wanting crazy to stop this and have talks but i thought like putin would do that then they said same thing pretty much. when i saw before ukraine said talks going okay they meant okay cause ukraine still holding russia off. jim said they would getting putin put him in jail but i dont think so i think he would do something to himself not let that happen but i dont care just want to see that day like everyone else does esp them brave people in ukraine pretty cool we hacked putins tv radio system and arnold talked to russian people in russian. my new mower

6:36 Had a very nice fish fry with deb and boss last night.  lots of good talk and throwing of the cloth duck for Boss..  Great to see our little girl bear taking a walk in the snow. 
That is a Cadillac mower Cal.  I hope it does a good job for you.  Lots of great pics of fox. 
Terrible news out of Ukraine.  Good to turn it off now and then.  Fake news is awful, and the impacts on the public psychic is, I am afraid, powerful in the wrong direction.  Impossible to erase once seen.
Well prayers are sent for Ukraine and an end to violence soon.  Lots of Russians love Putin Like Nazis loved Hitler and lots around here love Trump whose Plaquenil killed my Joan.
GBU too and all those in need of comfort for any reason.  This is Debbie's prayer when I asked her to pray for some people I heard of with cancer.  She deals with illness all day every day, and has to use a blanket prayer there are so many she knows.
