I will be posting this facebook question and answer section in multi rooms so everybody can see it. ;D

Q: (by poster) I know there has been some talk of wanting the service on live feed. Is that possible for those that can not make the service? If not we all truley understand the wishes of the family.

A: (by RRP) I will talk to the family about it. If they say yes, we will see if it is technically possible for streaming or recording for later broadcast.

A; (by Sherri E.) The suggestion of a live feed to air the Celebration of Life service for Bob on August 8th will be a decision made by Bob's family and RRP. While we recognize that many would like to be a part of the sendoff for Bob, we have to remember that he was a pretty humble, no fuss, kind of guy, so we will be guided by the direction of his family and will let you all know when a decision has been made. We'll keep you all posted in the days ahead.

We also encourage each one of you who are too far in geographic distance to attend, to be with Bob in spirit and there are many ways you can quietly, contemplatively, honor him on that day in that hour. I will not be able to be there, but I have my own tribute planned ... I'll be planting a Cottonwood tree on my property in his honor. There are many ways we can each do an act that is befitting how much Bob has meant to us.

Sherri I love the idea of planting a tree in Bob's honor-expecially a Cottonwood tree. He will love that.  :D

From Decorahnews.com:

Clearing the News Desk #2: Remembering Bob Anderson, part two

Posted: Thu, Jul 30, 2015 4:17 PM

We have heard a number of different suggestions about ways to honor the life and work of Raptor Resource Director Bob Anderson.  There have been suggestions to put his name on part of the Trout Run Trail or on a building or area of the Trout Hatchery.

We'd like to suggest an additional idea: It would be great to have a Decorah performance of the "Decorah Bald Eagle Violin Concerto," which was performed out in San Diego earlier this year.

In case you missed our story, here's a link: http://www.decorahnews.com/archived-stories/2015/05/10836.html

REMEMBRANCE

Cant have a sign - people'd fight over which tree on which trail

Cant plant a tree - people'd fight over which variety - I choose apple or  pine

What would be the BEST remembrance?
Needless to say his own family should have a big vote!   8)  (cough)

What would I like?
I'd like another falcon camera setup like at GSB in Minnesnowta  (did I mis-spell that? )
The blackdog falcons are a lovely family - maybe there - or one in Iowa

I'm a Decorah Eagle fan and I've been thinking of a pole with a cross-beam perch near top (for juvie viewing of Mom and Dad's fishing techniques), and on top a PTZ camera.  Pole should be on hatchery grounds with good overhead views of retention pond and large holding ponds, scanning views of "the maple", and the bluffs, and then hopefully a view of N3.  Nest cams later.  Just a thought!
Permanent memorial to Bob Anderson.

Use the talents you possess: for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except the best.

Others have probably thought of this...wouldn't it be great to have a bird sanctuary or a wildlife refuge named in Bob's honor?  I don't have any idea what the procedure would be to accomplish such a thing.

eburg - LOL!!!!  see?
I love eagles too!  I was mostly thinking the falcons were Bob's passion.
as for maples - it'd have to be the maples with the red leaves in fall.  LOL!
I was teasing about 'fighting' of course.

walton - wildlife refuge is such a nice well rounded thought!
I sure wish I had a contact person in his family.  o well.

Bob would be honored - and laugh- and be embarrassed - at all this attention!
Anything that would help birds he'd approve!   :) 8) ;D

Heck, if the hatchery has a new variety of fish, it could be named
peregrin eaglefish  -    ::)

I'm going to copy my posting from another thread, July 28, here today-- August 2. My heart is heavy at the loss of Bob. Shep, thank you for creating this special thread.

July 28
Oh, what sad news. I am just catching up after being away for some days. So very sorry to hear of the loss of Bob. It was a pleasure to meet him at Wabasha when he spoke there a couple of years ago, and to have some telephone conversations. What a wonderful and lasting contribution he has made to nature, and all of us. ~Mary Jo

August 6, Thursday
Evidently they will NOT stream the service LIVE, since I see no info on it.  :(
But the Decorah eagles thread will gather to chat in their forum thread at 1 Saturday.
Maybe they will open their chatroom - I dont know

Shep, where did you get your info about a decision on the live stream of the service?  I have not found any announcement of a decision about that by RRP on the official RRP FB page or the Decorah Eagles ustream live cam page, where RRP said they would make announcements.

Bob Anderson was responsible for the Decorah eagles and GSB falcons and other live cams
This is the link to the Decorah eagles blog here

Amy (Mrsfalcon) set up a thread for Bob's memorial service here

Bob's Celebration Of Life
Forum friends, I first have to thank you for the lovely emails and messages. I haven't responded personally, but believe me, I have seen and welcomed them. We will get to thanking people once all of this is done. <3

Those of you who have been to Decorah know that parking can be an issue at the Trout Hatchery. Because of that, we have a shuttle bus running between Centrum Mall and the Fish Hatchery for Bob's Public Celebration, which starts at 1:00'ish. The bus starts pickup at the mall at 11:30 and will do the last drop-off at 4:30. We ask everyone who can to please consider taking the shuttle. If you can't, please consider carpooling. Also, please share with everyone you know is going, however you share. We are trying to make sure everyone can go who wants to, and taking the shuttle and carpooling will be a very big help.

I've attached a map for you. I locked the thread because it is information only. If you have questions, please email me at [email protected]. I will try to answer them (but can't guarantee it right now, just so you know).

Everyone, thanks so much. This has been a hard time for all of us and we really appreciate your support. I'm going to open a thread on Saturday morning for stories of Bob, the eagle cam, and his falcon work. Please feel welcome to share online memories and stories there.

Thanks, Shep.  :)

The new thread Amy set up on Forum for info regarding "Bob's Celebration of Life" is on the Decorah Eagles 2015 forum board, and you can get to that new thread directly at:
http://www.raptorresource.org/forum/index.php/topic,2050.msg386368.html#new

Regarding the question some people have had about whether RRP will live stream or video the service on Saturday, Amy/RRP responded in the comments on the public RRP FB page a couple of hours ago, today, and Amy said:

Raptor Resource Project - we will see what we can. That's still an open question. Livestreaming is very unlikely, but we are looking into taping it. We will let everyone know if we do.
  2 hrs

That comment by Amy can be found in the expanded comments under the post that includes the map showing the shuttle location for Saturday's service on the public RRP FB page at:
