baz - I understood this to be the Operation Migration cam and you would know better than I where it's located. I believe "RC" stands for the "Royal Couple." They appear about 4:30 into the video and they are beautiful! Synchronized flying. Gorgeous.

Thanks T40.  If that's the crane cam, then I guess it's in Wisconsin, since that is "home" for Operation Migration (OM).  I didn't know it was from their cam... they post so many videos taken in different places.  OM does a lot - including tracking the whoopers' fall migration, so I wondered if this might be a video of a pair during its migration...  oh me...   :D

Chick Arrival
Sep 15, 2016  -  Windway Aviation flew in another cohort of Whooping crane chicks from Baltimore to Wisconsin. 9 parent reared Whooping cranes.  The OM crew, along with Patuxent?s Dr. Glenn Olsen transfered the crates to our two air conditioned vans and driven to the White River Marsh staging pensite.

T40.  Thanks for posting.  That is an excellent article.  Fingers crossed for this year - this will be the first year since 2001 that there won't be a ultralight-plane-led fall migration to southern wintering grounds for these little whoopers in Wisconsin.  I'm very nervous to see what happens since no one knows what's going to happen... or when...  I will probably be peeking through my fingers with my hands over my eyes.   8)

baz - They said he was to be sentenced "in the fall." He appeared before this judge, so I assume it will be the same judge at sentencing. Doesn't look like his sentencing is on the Judge's calendar for September.
