Hi Shep!   LOL on the training runs this morning.  Oh well, it's Saturday.  Maybe the chicks just wanted more "play time" today.   :D

August 2, 2015       SONday   Shepnotes
I'll have to get video - the cam and chat kept kicking me out, I couldnt stay connected and gave up

Aug 2 training video, pilot Joe Duff
https://youtu.be/jJwXyeOSPYY

WILD CHILD!
OK - got video.  This is hilarious!  Joe goes LEFT, 2 go RIGHT,
they turn back to Joe - but wander into weeds - followed by 2 more - who circle back - to the other weeds
This would NOT be funny to pilot but sure is funny to me!  Wild kids loving FREEDOM!
Only one snip - but - you look at the video!  Its great.

:o :o  Shep: Pilot Joe's video is wonderful!! It was so funny when they all seemed to go in every direction at first, but NOT funny to Joe. Also, very nice to see into their pen and "pool". The meticulous way they feed them treats is also fascinating.  :D :D Terrific video, and the WB's gave him a piece of their mind loudly too.... Many thanks for photos and video.  ;D I learned lots more today  ;D

Adult cranes eat blue crabs in Florida
I saw this link off facebook from osprey-falcon link - ches-con

By February in the lower Chesapeake Bay, mature female blue crabs are buried in the sediment, waiting for the arrival of summer to hatch their eggs and continue a life cycle that takes about two years to complete.

:o :o shep and baz; ::) what a great afternoon I had; followed all links and went to OM website. I will need to go  back because my little "whooper" notebook is almost full.  ???I told you both that I would do my homework and will not ask anymore QQ's until I feel more secure.

After watching our Decorah Eagles for 3 years; this  site is fairly new to me. I am somewhat  :o surprised that my very OLD head can learn so much here but it is fascinating and I am sticking around. Many thanks for all the links; photos and videos :-* :-*

I can handle spelling, but I wish there was a punctuation check,.;'etc.

August 4, 2015       Tuesday   Shepnotes
6.11 am  Brooke arrives, pilot today
Brooke took chicks up right away, and circled around and all 6 followed!
He took them up twice - rested by walking the runway slowly -
then took them up again.  4 followed, 2 landed
You gotta see the video!
As he circled to land, he had 4 behind him - the 2 on the runway flew up to meet him in front of him -
and - the 2 adult birds could be seen flying in off his right wing as he circled
WOW

;D shep; once again I thank you for your updates. :o I love the video from earlier today because they all looked eager to fly with Brook. When they took off into the sunrise...oh, what a beautiful site!!!
:o The second time was funny while the three standoff's waited for a snack :D :D

I read Joe's blog "welcome new guy" and found it quite fascinating that all of the OM staff have such interesting backgrounds.....very, very interesting, but when I tried to post (after signing in) I kept getting bounced off. I am not tech save at all but each time I typed a comment....it ignored me :o :o
Thanks again Shep for all that you bring to us :-* :-*

Oma, try taking off the slash before and after that dazzle url - just start with the www and end with the .com - no slash.  It worked for me like that.
