Thanks, T40.  Dealing with taking the survey before being able to read the article is a pain, but it was worth it.  There is good info in this about the documented numbers of occupied Bald Eagle nests in Wisconsin in 2015 - there were 1,275 of them!!!

I am heartsick over this news.  It was a fatal shooting this past Thursday, Oct. 8th, 2015.  I don't understand the part of that report that says the shooting was "self reported" - does that mean the shooter reported it to the Arizona Game and Fish Department?  I don't know, but the Arizona Game and Fish Department did a preliminary investigation, and the Fish and Wildlife Service law enforcement personnel have taken it over.

That news report says 70 California Condors are in a flock that roams the Arizona-Utah border.  That now needs to be corrected to say, 69 California Condors are in a flock that roams the Arizona-Utah border.

WOW!!!!!  I would have had a car wreck for sure!!!      Incredible story and can hardly imagine how his heart must've been racing to see that scene unfold before his eyes - all "out of the blue" like that.  This is a great story, and I'm so glad I read it to the end.  Wonderful info included, and LOL on the "No Fly Zone" between the eagles and the osprey on those waters at Montezuma.      Thanks for sharing this story, T40!
