Paulie - on the 19th an error occurred in the Beak Room.  The problem caused a page to not open up and give an error 500 code from the server.  To correct this issue Amy deleted some posts.   This caused some other issues with the automatic jump to last read post when you open up the Beak Room.

BL goodness, that was a scary day with the tree. Glad you weren't seriously injured.

Tsk, glad your niece will be able to help you with the tower.

{{{Tig}}}

Lisa, I had my computer's sound up, I heard what the guy said (LOL) before really noticing what was happening to the tree top. I had to watch it a couple of times.  ;D

Karen, so the video was taking in your neighborhood.  That's Us Cheap! LOL! ;D ... Lots of birds nest near your home.... sounds like you're having a good time with Mickey.

Tsk, please send some of your rain down here.  ;D

Paulie, I'm sorry we missed your post.... I'll have to check youtube for the American Idol winner. It's been awhile since I've watched it.... sounds like you had fun with your grandchildren... Aly tried playing the violin and then gave it up for the drums, and finally clarinet.... sending prayers for Charlie.

Good night!

Hello Beakers

I am also noticing some errant behavior in the forum when navigating and/or posting.  This morning I refreshed to check for new posts and it jumped back 3 pages.  When posting I am getting a delay from hitting "post" to the screen going back to the page.

We got almost 2 inches of rain this week.  Mostly light to moderate, so mostly soaking into the very dry ground.  High of only 58 today - back to the 60s and 70s for the next week.

Good Morning Beakers!

oldguy, thanks for the Clinchfield Railroad Series, I really enjoy those! And oh my, the Doobie Brothers...still going! Love the Kitty Coin Bank, I wonder how my cats would react! And Mauru, thanks!

Lani, sweet good night dog... Thanks for clarification on HM, sad...

Paulie, wow, that's great, a 10 year old granddaughter that plays the violin! Sounds like the granddaughters will be keeping you busy! How many grandchildren do you have? I only have two, and starting next week I will have them on Wednesdays again for the summer! Talon is 10, Bella is seven. Prayers for Charlie...

tsk, I think we got around 3.5" of rain. It's been chilly, in the low 60s, but tomorrow it starts warming up!

karen, we are in the right place! Two hospitals and several medical offices within a mile. It's like a medical subdivision! When we moved here it was a cornfield, one small medical building. I have no idea about the power grid but the power has never been off more than a few hours since we moved here in 1996. Are you and Mickey getting things done? I hope you are also doing some fun and relaxing as well!

BL, harrowing tree story! You escaped death, and not the only time I bet!

Lisa, thanks for the information on HM, Decorah has certainly had enough sad news the last few years... I think I will get the mailbox planter done today! Been waiting on Ed to set the planter and put the filler in the bottom and then add the potting soil and compost. Hang on Vincas and Dianthus!

PAULIE   I am an Idol fan.   I was with Jamal all the way.  They certainly had a lot of "gospel" singers this year.  It was a very talented group and good exposure even if they didn't win - Just look at Jennifer Hudson  LOL   Sure wish I lived near all my great nieces.  Happy to have 2 near me who I enjoy.

OLDGUY    Railroad series - monumental and absolutely fascinating.  Interesting in the beginning how the equipment was made to ride back and forth on the tracks.   Cat bank  LOL

CLYNN    Oh boy, starting next week already. Wed is grandma and grandpa day.  :)I bet BL has scaled that rock formation  LOL. :o :o :o

appears to be posted 8 months ago. But, important. Bird's feet are getting stuck in these bird feeders. One in this video lost it's foot. There is a fix which this woman shows how to do in the video.

Yah!....our warm up begins....I do see our cold spell is heading into the NE.

Good Morning Beakers

karen - You are welcome.  I was hoping I would get the video to post correctly for you.   :D

tsk - What is Tim going to plant?  We have had two days of rain here, and very much needed.

paulie - I think I remember seeing your post asking about American Idol.  I never watch the actual show, just the audition part, cause they are so much more fun.

Lani;D  Love that good night pic.

oldguy - I have noticed the same as you.  Thanks for the videos.

clynn - I agree, Decorah needs some happy news. Can't wait to see your mailbox planter.
Beautiful pic of the Mogollon Rim.

kb - Interesting looking bird

tig, Puff, karen, BL - Morning  :)

Well, just dumped 3 inches of rain out of my gauge. That's over 2 days, but mostly 1 of 2..

BL I think asked for picks of Nellie...as you can tell I'm not as good a picture taker of vehicles as I am of flowers and eagles!

first day driving her since detailed....didn't want to "mess her up" in the rain that followed hours later!

I swear she drives better when cleaner!.. ;) ;)

25 years old with only 66,000 miles on her...yes she truly looks like new but for none of that computer stuff on her dash....V8

Royal Albatross cam

Since hatching at 286g on the 28th of January, the Signal Station Trig chick has grown to 5.8 kg on day 112 (Tuesday 20th of May, 10.50am). This is a 300g increase on last week’s weight. Today’s weight is 1.2 kg below average for a female toroa chick of this age and of concern.  This was her second supplementary feed from the ranger team, and it consisted of 400ml fluid for hydration and 900g of fish. Two other chicks were supplementary fed today also.

Enough of that! Fluffball SSTrig running away!  ;D

There have been 7 feeds from both parents since last week’s weigh 4 of which were in the 2 days following the last weigh in and 2 on Sunday 18th May when the whole Royalcam family was seen on cam.  :-*

Clynn, Yes, Decorah needs happy news! ... beautiful morning pics and AZ Sedona pic... Looking forward to your mailbox planter pics!... Summer's here and so is the Munchkins! Talon 10 and Miss Bella is 7. Lots of memories to make this summer! I loved the summers!  8)   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY2aj3ba7pA

{{{Tsk}}} I wish I was closer to our great nieces and nephews too...

Kb, thanks for the hummingbird feeder warning... thankfully, I have the glass bottle feeder, it has two circular rings for the birds to perch, and the feeder is flat and doesn't attract bees.
Pretty bird.... nice pics of Nellie.  ;D

KB   Interesting solution to feeder issue.   Who knew - a bird that is toxic to touch.  :o  Nellie looks spankin' new.  ;D

LISA   He bought 2 cucumbers, 2 tomatoes ( none of which turned red last year!!!!), some onions and peas.  Only onions and cukes do well in our garden.  Not enough sun.

LANI   Interesting as it seemed SST was getting well fed.  I guess tho as we have seen there are always some supplementary feedings.

tsk - Sounds like a good lil variety he has there.  I tried to grow tomatoes once, and they didn't do good.

Lani - Thanks for the Royal update.

kb - Nellie looks all nice and shiny.   :)
