Just lost power....once again!....I swear this city can't keep the lights on.

This time also a storm, but lightening hit something, loud boom, and black.

Yes, BL, just did that...now letting you tube just keep changing up the music, Les Paul with Dicky Betts followed for me.

Using my data off phone to use laptop. Meanwhile Chris is busy swearing hooking up the right cable with all our devices to our power banks......not so easy with just 3 battery powered lamps....LOL

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, your last knee injection! I hope the good effects last a long time and I bet you have dishes ready to go into that new dishwasher! Pretty morning pinks! And another good 365!

Lani, I wonder what is going on with the forum! You and I post pictures the same way, the only difference is that you have a Mac and I have a PC. And it seems to get itself back on track without Amy doing anything (unless she is doing something and we just don't know it). Weird! (now there is a word that breaks the 'i before e, except after c' rule! We had rain all night here, it was very much needed! Thanks for Dr. Greene's words, I hope Iris is having a good time with her new guy! And thanks for the Royal Alby update!

BL, contrats in the big catch! Thanks for the Van and ELO, Both on my faves list!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eq3YLhtuzTQ   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKElk9zTB04   Wonderful picturing of the crackling logs at your campsite... heavenly!

baz, I also went to the members list to read your post, thank goodness for good neighbors and Lil' Punkin's meds!

kb, another favorite group, Tommy James and the Shondells! I really do believe BL is the 4th member of the Class of 1970 group! He loves the same music!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARdlyyP8f4A

tsk, 51 here right now, I haven't turned the heat back on yet! It seems to stay okay if I don't open windows, no one has complained yet! My pics didn't come along with my text when I re-posted yesterday! I copied link and inserted them again. Yes, that 2011 storm video brings back memories, and do you believe we have been here for 14 years?  Time flies when you are getting older...

oldguy, you really have the time pinned down on the forum glitch! Maybe that will help Amy look into it when they are done banding!

Lisa, I am going to plant the Vincas and Dianthus today, the ground is soft enough after the rain for Ed to put my mailbox planter in place! I'll get a picture to post.

Raptor Resource Project
- RRP at work! The A Team (Amy R. and Amy L.) banded two nestling falcons at Muscatine Power and Water in Muscatine, Iowa. Richie and Denise were 15 to 16 days old, ecto-parasite free, and well fed! Mom was unbanded and Dad didn't come close enough to give us a look. Thanks to Muscatine Power and Water for giving us a hand and the falcons a home!

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

PHYL  Good luck today with final injection and the road to painless knees.     I can never keep a bleeding heart alive.  My mother had several beautiful ones.  Thanks for Amy's blog.   365  :o

CLYNN  Super colorful morning on a dreary day here.  :)    Amy's have been busy...Too high up for me  :o

Can someone please fly in some hot coffee for me!...

Power out since 11 last night. supposed to be fixed my 2:30, now it's 1pm...

Second outage in a week.

Two very long ones last summer.

Me thinks now I need a whole house generator. Can't keep the lights on in this area.

I wish I understood the Power company and outages better.

Anyone can chime in.

Apparently says someone nearby a tree limb fell on a line and it's down....This is 11pm last night 2 blocks away. And it was and is still raining. We thought we saw and heard lightening.

ETA 45 minutes was the first notification Second was 3 1/2 hours.....sometime in the middle of the night ETA 1pm this afternoon....

What prompts them to think/say under an hour to finally if truly happens, 14 hours?

Do they not pull up and re-hang a line in the rain?....Do they not have someone to take a branch no matter what size off the line. In other words, what could one tree limb do to cause 14 hours out and 123 customers in my neighborhood.

If common sense or some information explained it I would be less frustrated. But they don't give specifics.

Excel and the fire dept were reported being seen at that area immediately.

There are other outages in MN but this is the largest I can see and not that many customers comparatively speaking.

It's getting darn cold in here. I have portable fans but not heaters.

Perhaps BL or OG have some insight.

I'm home for part of the day, so I took a look into the forum problem. I'm not sure why those pages failed - I didn't see anything weird in preliminary scans and all users were registered users who I know. But I didn't have time to do a deep dive. So I deleted stuff in the range of failure, which fixed the problem for now, knock on wood. Thanks for letting me know!
