tsk, you should put your bikini on when you run out to wash the car in the rain and shammy it! But now I re-read and you go out after the rain stops! I am going to get a chamois and try that sometime! I wonder if they still sell the ShamWow? I had to chuckle when you said you had a cake in the oven, my mind automatically said 'I'm sure glad it wasn't a bun you had in the oven!'

karen, I hope the shots in the arm work for you!  Who is Joel? A friend of your typist lady? LOLOL! We used to sit and watch people go by at work, I swear some of them wore their pajamas to work! And the plump ladies in spandex! (which I would not wear, because I am plump!)

BL, wow, yes, a lot of eagles and ospreys nests went down in the storms. And we don't even see or know of most of them...  :'( :'(

Lani, did Sadie enjoy her day at the spa?

Lisa, that morning cuppa sure looks good, love a touch of cinnamon in coffee!

Lori, lots of sweet pictures for MayDay! Colorful fudge and a delicious drink, you always bring us goodies! Hope you and Destini are doing well!

baz, those bunnies...looking at me! I always remember Mayday, it was my Dad's birthday! I sent him a happy birthday in heaven on FB!

Black Eagle Project Roodekrans is at Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden South Africa.
Finally, all indications are that Makatsa has laid the first Egg. Our Monitors have been in the Gardens daily for the past three weeks observing the behavior of Makatsa and Mahlori. Suddenly, on Tuesday morning, there was a shift in their behavior. Yesterday's Monitors suspected that Makatsa had laid the Egg but we needed confirmation. This morning we observed Makatsa and Mahlori changing shifts on the Nest, a strong indication that there is an Egg. Photos taken this morning by Naomi 'Van Dyk' Corinaldi.

LORI   As always such a colorful, cute and funny posting.  That strawberry lemonade will be very welcome on my patio on a warm summer day. :)

BAZI   Love the slippers. ;D ;D  Sweet bunnies.  As I was digging out that pesky thistle that migrates into my yard from my neighbor I noticed an area with soft materials where last year a mama and her bunnies were found by me.  Think she may have been there again this year.

CLYNN  Call me the Blessed Susan if there was a "bun in the oven"   8) :o      LOLOL  Who is Joel - friend of the typist lady?"  LOLOLOLOL      What great news from Sue Bruhling.  Good goin' Mom Decorah.

Always nice to have 4 Bruhling eyes on the site.  I know you gotta know how grateful we are for your ventures to find our pair - and any little ones.  HUGS always.

Remember when it rains, it pours; and it also means flowers, rainbows, sun to sit in on a chaise on the patio (if your lucky), birds, and also butterflies, tsk.  And, I am also now finished with my new own fence.  I mentioned story of the wooden fence Dad made and put in for my back yard 50 years ago (part veggie garden, part privacy).  Metal this time.  Laid the coco fiber pathways.  Now if the rain would quit for a while I have my seeds and some veggie plants waiting to be planted.  Was hoping the scheduled flood light for my USA flag would go in today - nope.  I could have taken inventory in the garage of my begonias to see how many survived and what I have to replace.  Instead I did some work on travel stuff.  Hoping for tomorrow.

Also, while you mention it tsk, I don't remember talking about my car washes.  Black sparkle needs frequent washes.  About 15  years ago I signed up for a program at a local carwash.  Such a deal. . .
For $12.99/month all the washes I want.  Includes the wash, a spray wax, dry, vacuum inside, windows if wanted inside.  Along with the wash program is their gas pricing.  Hot rod still only takes regular to get into trouble.  ::)   Cost last week for non-program people was $3.67?   My reduced price was $3.49.  I don't have to even be getting both - gas or the wash is OK.  Whenever in the area I stop for either or both.  Unfortunately, or fortunately, I stop a lot because it's so close to Good Samaritan.   :-\   Almost forgot to mention. . .Current monthly charge has risen to $29.99 as of 2025.  BUT   Either they don't know how to change the computer program for me, or I got grandfathered (grandmothered) into the original price.  That's why I hesitate to mention gas station to locals.  They might be tempted to switch stations and then show up asking for the same deal.  They might get wise and raise me?  Oh, they did the same with Ton.  No he didn't get raised, but when he signed up the price had gone to $16.99.

Best price is now thankfully less than $5.00 like it was pushing in recent times was.

Clynn, awww great Osprey story, It's been a long time we've heard from SOAR... I pray Y8 can be healed and released in her old territory... 2 more eaglets needed rescued and help. Sadly the storms are causing a great deal of trouble for the wildlife. Prayers for them to be healed and released... I need to wash windows. I ordered Shamwow from Amazon after reading Tsk's post. LOL! ... I am noticing more people wearing Pj's shopping.  ??? ... Sadie is always thrilled to leave the spa, and is exhausted the rest of the day. But, she looks and smells very nice... Thanks for sharing SMB's great news about Decorah Mom/DM2 and D41! Big hugs and thanks to the Larry Bellrichard & Cindy Bellrichard  For being the "Boots on the Ground"!!!
Thanks for the Black Eagle update. beautiful pics.

Happy Heavenly birthday to Clynn's Dad!

T3 sitting erect this morning, strolling around the bole, preening.  Feathers should take over soon.  TM out grocery shopping.  What's-his-name never seen by me yesterday, no freeloading?  Am I harsh on TD?

Maybe invite/meet Bellrichards at ATF?  True friends of RRP.

Good Morning Beakers!

Puff, thanks for the update on the Trempealeau nest! I wonder if the two-nest thing happens because the nests are too close to each other. Same issue with Iris's nest and it is close to Louis's main nest... Erin has the unlimited car washes at Mr Carwash, he pays $39.99 a month! I just couldn't justify that!

Lani, I bet Sadie feels like a Princess! I am going to order a Shamwow too and do what tsk does! Do you wash the outside of your house windows or do you have it done? I use the Windex cleaner pad on the outside of the first floor windows. On the second floor I reach and lean out of one window and clean the other, and vice-versa. While I still can! The older we get the more we have to hire someone to do these things! Your goodnight kitty looks relaxed to the bone!

tsk, thanks for the link to the Shamwow! I think I will be baking Ed some cookies today, I have 3 over-ripe bananas and that is what my recipe for Banana Oatmeal cookies takes. They are Ed's favorite, the recipe came from his Mom...

Lisa, hoping you have a good day today!

This is not my lilac bush but my whole back yard smells like lilac.  LOL  Won't last long tho.

PUFF  Such a deal for you on the car washes.  There is the same around here.  Our pastor always brags about it.  LOL  We have certainly realized a lot of hanky-panky going on in the avian world.

LANI   Iris  :(  Such pretty eggs osprey have.  I first heard about Shamwow at the Chicago car show eons ago.  The demonstration sold me!   The male caregiver Vlad I had for a few years for Mom and Dad gave me a package of Shamwow for my B-day  LOLOL
Nice thing about them is you can cut to size for different uses.  After we Squeegee the shower I wipe it all down with the Shamwow.  ;) ;) ;)   That good night kitty should be in the Cat-lympics for creative cat sleeping  ;D

CLYNN  4 years ago I bought 2 lily of the valley plants hoping they would spread in this one area.  Both died!!!   Tell Erin how to get a free car wash  LOLOL  Then again with dogs and kids... :-\   Banana oatmeal cookies sound healthy!!   Looks like T3 is going to make it  ;D

Thrasher still hiding in one tree on North Nest window.  Been there quite a while this a.m.  Even looks to be digging to build a nest/bole.

Let me alibi/explain. . .I don't wash windows, outside, inside, car anymore.  But I do do my yard/garden/flowers/birds.  So that's OK at this age.  Whew, OK?
