Tig -  here is a trouble shooting guide for Ashley Furniture - 3 things are listed as a possible problem. 1 power cord disconnected (more than 1 connector inside of unit) on love seat. 2 wood failure at hinges. 3 component failure (motor).

BL, Listen to the music!  8) .. good info for Tig, you should write a DIY book. ... Otis Redding 50th anniversary, loved seeing his children carrying on. 8)

Tsk, I agree with Tim about the egg salad, the Worcestershire sauce makes it! Eggs have been $4.50 here....

Phyl, Orange cat Puma is always near the baby sloths on the patio. I took a pic of him today... I hope today was a good day for {{{you, Maggie and Jim}}}

karen poor Piper, soon her yard will be hers again. Sounds like you have good reliable companies helping you. We need to get a tree company to check out a tree that doesn't seem to be doing well at all.

{{{Clynn}}} I hope you've made it safe home.  ;D

Good night!

Good morning, Bakers/beakers!. Going to the high 80s today and humid no rain I am waiting for the crew to come and start cutting up a tree trunk and taking another tree out and then they will be cleaning up and leaving. Piper will be very happy and so will Karen I’ll have to see how things look when the equipment is gone and  Is cleaned up to think about landscaping!  I need an azalea cat way back and dug up and moved as I planted it thinking it was a smaller bush then it turned out to be hopefully I can save it but if not, I’ll get a smaller kind to replace it. Decisions, decisions, or if I like to think opportunities.
Phyl, I wish you would see an allergist as I’m positive you could clear all this up at least the cold type symptoms. Take care today and give Jim a gentle hug
B!, Good tunes last night and as usual you an old guy have great suggestions for repairing diagnostic thing
The Trempealeau Nest is a mess just read a blog on Facebook about the mail and his two separate nests and it makes Louis look like a prize catch maybe.  I wonder how often this happens in nature, but we aren’t able to see it as there are not cameras on the world . Oh my goodness
(((Lani)))
Lori, Think I forgot to thank you for your Easter greetings and goodies. Hope all is well at your house.

Good Morning Beakers!

Well, it's good to be home! It was a busy week, Mom has 3 curio cabinets in the family room, all filled with teacup sets and some other trinkets. I emptied all three cabinets, carried them and the glass shelves up the stairs to the dining room table. Mom washed and dried them (they haven't been cleaned recently...). I cleaned the glass on all the cabinets also! We had a company that does restoration cleaning come in, they cleaned the carpeting and set 7 huge dehumidifying turbo fans all around the rooms. They stayed on for 2 days. Then I carried all the stuff back down the stairs and put them back in the curio cabinets. Whew!  Here is a picture of the dining room table, the teacup/saucers are in cuddled stacks of 4 (34 stacks of 4):

Phyl, beautiful sunflowers this morning! interesting 365! My crabapple tree is in full bloom, soon it will look like snow on the ground! I am still praying that you and Jim get to feeling better. Head cold and allergies together, not good!

tsk, yes, I slept later, I was tired last night! For some reason I am able to sleep later at Mom's, usually to around 6:00 instead of 5:00! I will have to try The Masters Egg
salad!

Lani, Puma is a good nurse and nannie for the baby sloths, she seems very caring! The Sauces baby is getting big, I am so glad one of the eggs made it this year!

karen, yes, Piper and Karen will be glad to have the yard back! Have the finches returned to their nest?

BL, listening to the music not, always love the Playing for Change!

oldguy, the Wabash River was indeed 3 miles wide at I64! We went to Evansville, IN on Monday, water everywhere along the way. We went through Browns (just a few miles from Albion), I took these pictures to show you this little creek:

BBL, Sam is begging for attention!

Good Morning Beakers

tsk - Oh wow, you made The Masters egg salad.  Glad that Tim liked it.

karen - Hope your tree work will be completed today, and then on to another project.   :D
Mr T at Trempealeau reminds me of Louis!

BL - Thanks for the tunes  :)

Lani - Betty Lou is getting big!

Phyl - Hope you and Jim get to feeling better real soon.

clynn - Welcome Home!  Boy, sounds like you sure had you work cut out for you at Mom's.  I bet she was happy to have you tho.  That is an awesome teacup/trinket collection.

Puff, kb, tig, and all - Morning  :)

PHYL   Very colorful summery morning  ;D   Sounds like this is "cold/allergy thingy" lasting an awfully long time - Maybe give the "walk-in " clinic a try?

KAREN   Now I need to go see what's up at Trempealeau  :o :o

CLYNN   OH MY Gosh!!!   This must be where you get your "collection gene" from  LOLOL  You sure got your exercise up and down those stairs.   What a big help to Mom tho taking care of that whole basement project.     Our neighbors next door were in Florida  (this is about 6 weeks ago now)when they got a call from public works that they detected an unusual amt of water usage - Bottom line - Half their house flooded from a 2nd story broken connector from wall to toilet supply ( 30,000 gallons of water).   A realtor friend came and shut off water and immediately got a restoration service out there.   Our neighbors are living elsewhere til it gets done. Hopefully in 6 months!!!    Went in and saw - unbelievable...Good "creek" shots  :o

some bounce

Well, we wanted to order a Google pixel 8a to replace my 6 but they are out of stock, so we ordered a 9a which is on sale at the same price as the 8a. Hopefully it will arrive before mine "dies".

tsk, wow, wonder what that water bill was?! That happened to Ed's sister when she lived in Arizona, upstairs bathroom flooded the whole downstairs! I don't know how many gallons! The downstairs at Mom's isn't really a basement, it's like this picture, except where the one car garage was, is the family room with a big window and a door.. The window to the right of the garage door was Dad's computer 'Man Cave', and behind it the laundry room. Then they built a two-car garage to the left of the original garage. Yes, I got the worst of the collecting bug from Mom, Cathy is in-between (because her husband is a 'throw it out' person) and Becky says NO to collecting anything at all.

Lisa, that coffee looks good! I am going to try The Masters Egg Salad, I love egg salad! Chicken salad too!  https://www.plainchicken.com/masters-egg-salad/

Very white chest and brought a stick ... who oh who could he be? The plot thickens ...  🙂

Howdy Beakers!

I just now caught up on about 5 days of posts, counting today's. I drove to Decatur, GA for a long weekend, to visit my lifelong friend, and her children and their families (my friend's grands). My friend's 2 adult children are my Godchildren. They are all the same as if they were my related family, as we have known each other since pre-school days, and I have known her children and grandchildren since they were in utero.  ;D

I only waived as I passed Augusta, going and coming, as The Masters was in the rear view mirror at that point. My friend's son, and some of his college friends of old, went to The Masters for a couple of days, and he said they all had a ball, of course.

I got back last night. It was a fun trip, and I loved hugging and catching up with everyone there. We had lots of laughs, fun outings, and great food. I had no car troubles driving the total of approx. 1,000 miles (includes in-and-around town miles while there), since I did all the driving. My friend doesn't drive anymore due to loss of much of her eyesight. My car is 14+ years old, so I had my fingers crossed that there wouldn't be any surprises with it. LOL, and there weren't. It was perfect weather the whole time. Perfect. I did not want to come home yesterday! Zippo did great! And she was glad when I got home, LOL. We snuggled extra, with extra head rubs for her last night, to make up for my time away.  :) :-*

A good time was had by all.  :)

I ran many errands today, so I haven't eaten since breakfast, and I am hungry! LOL, so what's new. Ha! Heading to the kitchen now to scare up some grub.

Take care, (((Beakers))). Peace. SED.

TIG  sounds like a good deal on the new phone.  Any progress on the recliner with OLDGUY's help as well?

CLYNN  I didn't ask Karen what  the water bill was BUT everything is covered by insurance!!!  Thanks for the photo.  It helps to see where the family room is located.   Well well. Iris does not look like she is objecting!

BAZI   Sounds like a wonderful Easter time with your "2nd family".   That's probably as much mileage as CLYNN puts on with her round trip?   Does someone come in and cover and uncover Zippo each day?   Happy to hear even the car was perfect  ;D   BL should get a kick out of the llama pics.  Maybe he can sideline a bit with his  LOL

LISA  I did read about Trempealeau - How sad for the loss of the 2 chicks.  Let's hope the 3rd makes it.  I could not get the nest to load tonight.  ???

Ablation scheduled for May 23 but we are on "radar" should a cancellation come in - and they do.   For the first time since home a week, EKG showed no fibrillation! but did show tachycardia so meds were modified to fix that.   We had the single best health care professional I have ever encountered in the PA who saw us today.  God is good!
