I love this bird: The shoebill

From Mr. Shelby on X:

Shoebills are known for their eerie stillness and intense gaze. They often freeze for minutes, even hours, to avoid startling prey. When they strike, it’s quick, brutal, and efficient. Their main diet includes fish, frogs, and even baby crocodiles (yes, you read that right).

Praying for the docs to make the correct decision tsk

Whew, took a very chilly and windy walk with Ollie man. I sure do hope this is the last one dressed up like it's winter. Come on Spring!...

Happy Monday all.

Good Afternoon Beakers

Lani - Thanks for the Royal pics.  I did see RRP post this on their Facebook page about the goslings.
The goslings took their Leap of Faith from N1 this morning! The drop from the nest to the riverbank is about 70 feet. Five of the goslings made it: the sixth hit a branch below the Y and did not.
The five that made it quickly re-joined their parents on the riverbank and are currently downstream from Siewers Spring Road. Make way for goslings, everyone! Hatch watch for N2B begins on Friday, April 18.

oldguy - The leap was quick!

Phyl - Thanks for the 365.  Sorry about the egg.  Glad to hear that Jim is back to work.

BrokenLug - Safe travels back to Jersey.

tsk - Hope you and Tim got some good news today from the docs.  Continued prayers and waiting for next update.  :-*

kb - Love the Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven played on the piano!

baz - Love the pics of the lil great, and especially of Baby Bro!

karen, Puff, tig, oldguy and all - Afternoon  :D

Thanks Lisa, that's why I won't watch the video. Love your Easter pic, especially that cup.  ;D

Kb, I love the Shoebill too. I've seen you post videos of them bowing.  ;D

BL  Hope you had a chance to see some of the final day on TV  Likely by the sounds of it  LOL

PHYL    Wish we were able to get The Saints.  We don't get that channel but the previews looks so good.   Such a brilliant egg color .
Too bad it was abandoned  :'(   How did Jim do today?

LANI    LOL  It does kind of look like an Easter bunny  ;D

Saw all the necessary docs today. Bottom line: still in a-fib so trying a different drug today.  Also will repeat some blood work tomorrow as white cell count was high.  The cardiac electrophysiologist office will call us in a week and set an appt for the ablation about a month or so out - so I'm thinking June some time.  I was there at 7 AM - up at 4:30 so I am wiped.   I do not think ablations are covered as an in-patient.  I will mention to him about all the successes you related - Thanks.  If afib resolves, we can come home.

Tsk sounds good!  You are a trooper!
I think Some of the Opo  Rules vary depending on the patient’s health status. You can check that out I guess with the doctor or the insurance company. I hope you and Lulu are curled up in bed now and getting some well-deserved rest.

Busy day at the hatchery and another one coming up in a week I also do Not like looking at those jumps scary stuff!

Hopeful, everyone is rested following is stressful, golf game and  SEDS

Art Wu posts this pic of a leucistic robin. Hennepin County today.

On my walks I've seen our regular robins have returned en mass. Yes, some do reside in winter, but not in the numbers I've seen lately.

Very interesting kb.  All the birds of my life - I'm sure I must have seen the leucistic phenoms somewhere along the lines.  I'll have to be more aware.  Leaning experience of the day.

KAREN   I did manage 6 hours of sleep last night so all good today  LOL

PAULIE    Thanks for your info on your son's successful ablation.  Tim is afraid of all medical procedures.  LOL  Doctors assure him all life is a risk.  I like this doc who says this is his bread and butter and does these all day and every day.

KB   The leucistic robin is still beautiful in its own way.  :)
