well...

Camper's son showed up out of the blue and shoveled. He was pushing two shovels at once down the driveway! He is a "monster" LOL. Camper finished up with the snow pup. The son brought his dog which did a nice sweep of the yard, looking for vermin. I'll clean a bit of the shorter roof in the morning when there is less wind.

I finished our taxes in 2.5 hours and Camper will drop them off at our preparer on his way to watch his grandson play in a bball tournament.

Good to hear Phyl is on the mend. (I had a sneaking suspicion it was Jim dropping in)  8)

Back to watching sports...

Happy Canada Day bakers it sounds like everybody is having a great day today and it’s the weather hasn’t been too horrendous for anyone camper. Son is a real blessing to take him camper and now if somebody else would clear off the roof, that would be a real great thing to happen. I never cleared a roof off living in Chicago but I don’t imagine it is an easy thing to do while we clear off here is pine straw and it could really pile up.
Piper wishes all the cats, a happy day and their owners as well. It was very nice to hear from Jim and confirm that Phyllis is resting her knee and an elevated position with plenty of ice  Phyl, you might not want to spend the dollars but think about getting a tablet for yourself that you can use while you sit in the recliner with your feet up. They are really great and you don’t need anything with too many bells and whistles but you could get the news and the bird sites on one and communicate with us whether you talk into it or type would be up to you check Best Buy and see what their prices are today and maybe you could even get one that’s refurbished It’s just a thought, but I find it to be a godsend and you could use it as you wish and when you want to, but I can see you sitting in your recliner with one . thank  Jim for us for his report on you and tell him to take care of himself as well.
Nothing much going on here today and I should be spending the time following  tigs  Lead and doing taxes oh, I hate shuffling all those papers

oldguy, thanks for the entertainment! I don't think I have heard the Clarkson's do a Grateful Dead song before! I always wonder where Mom is! I am still going through the links! The bird food fight was good!

karen, most of us know cat hair well! LOLOL! Siamese don't seem to shed near as much as others. Ed can comb a ton of fur from Harley! Sam's fur is like velvet, Sophie's is not as thick, I call her fur silky.

Lani, love the Alby update, what a sweet little sound from the hatching chick. I wished it had been longer, would love to see it get out of the shell...  It looks like it was pretty windy when RLK returned, maybe he was late because he had to fly against the wind! He is happy as a clam taking care of the baby!

Jim, thanks so much for letting us know about Phyl, we have been worried! I can't remember the last time she missed a day of posting! I hate that she is having so much pain! But we know you are taking good care of her!

The ruts are very clear to the right of the group of trees going down the hill to US 30. I-84 is just below along the river...

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, I had forgotten that the Oregon trail started in Kansas! There is a plaque in downtown Springfield marking the spot where the Donner Party started heading west. I love the pioneer history, I cannot imagine leaving everything and heading for the unknown. I remember watching Wagon Train in much younger years, it was a good family show! Sam relaxes like the cat in the X video! Harley was on the love seat last night and Sophie tried to lay next to him. He wasn't much for it, only lasted a few seconds!  Great nighttime picture of the Kansas City skyline and the Union Station, complete with the KC Chiefs logo!

Phyl, miss seeing you in the morning! Hope you are doing a bit better... I bet Miss Maggie is keeping you company!

The arches of Arches National Park in Utah, USA, with the most famous rock formation known as The Cartwheels or Broken Bridge.

Wish I had the life of that kitty right now Lani.  Not only staying warm and comfy but not a care in the world.  Wish I were there.  Working on things on this end.

Enjoy the game everyone - hoping it's an exciting, good, fun game for any and all.

Mornin' Lisa Clynn.

CLYNN   Lulu's fur is the softest fur of any cat we have had.  That must have been some trip on the Oregon trail to get to a better life.
Wonder if someday there will be a similar trail on the moon/planet.  ???   Love the menace smile on that kitty  LOL  Beautiful blue and white Sunday.  Arches is a beautiful nat'l pk - So different.

LANI    Now that is what I would call one relaxed cat.  ;D

LISA   Great heart cup.  It should be in my cupboard. ::)    Soup was very good.   We usually don't exchange Xmas gifts but Tim thought he would surprise me with 2 cookbooks - one on soups and one on crockpots. ( I just purged all my cookbooks down to 2!)   I told him - OK you go through both book and mark the recipes you want me to make.  This was one of them but required homemade meatballs!  Not likely to make home made again.  Then he said it would be just as good without the meatballs.  Told him, That's how I usually make split pea soup.  ::) ::) ::)  LOLOL

PUFF   How's your hand a wrist doing?  Getting more active?

Bet you can't listen to this National Anthem sung by Whitney Houston with a dry eye!  May be the best one ever sung imho.

Saw that mention this morning, too, KB on Fox.  Brought up memories and emotional wet eyes, too.  All the old memories and feelings for the song, for the USA, and for Whitney.  Pure joy and deep emotions for all three.  She sure had her way with that song.

tsk and probably other interested beakers. . .

Wrist  has improved, is better; caveat was "it will not be the same."  :-[  PT to start this week, given a 6-8 week more plan.  Cast and splint also now gone - but wear it if I need it direction.  One of my biggest hopes is that the bloating/swelling will go down.  I'm working toward the goal of wearing "our rings" again.

Also, finished up with 2-week monitor Friday, now waiting for Wednesday's appt with cardio for anything that might have been shown.

Also, there  has been more info but no repair on my internet issues.  Even have work scheduled for this afternoon.  BTW that strange message I asked you about was a clue something was wrong.  Remember?
Among other issues I ended up having no access to my email, in or out.  What an unpleasant 10 days this  has been.  Except for the RRP beaker link.  Don't ask, too horrid.   I shall survive this too.  :'(

Puff - Glad to hear your wrist is improving, and hopefully PT will help you get it back to normal use.  Hope all is good with the heart monitor results, too.

kb - Those were the good days, when stars sang the anthem. Too much dramatics now in their voices.

tsk - Pretty morning greeting.  Oh, so the meatballs went in the split pea soup?  I thought you had made two separate soups.  Jeff hates peas, but he loves split pea soup, and I cannot make it like his mama did!
