Good Morning Beakers!

Wow, I really overslept this morning! And then I couldn't find my mouse anywhere, I looked and looked. Finally found it, it was under my chair!! How it got there I have no idea It had to be one of the cats!  ;D ;D ;D

karen, you were up early again and I am late again. What is going on in the universe?? Piper thinks you are going crazy!!

tsk, I am a soda pop person! It changed so much in my childhood with moving so much, I just combined them and it stuck.

Phyl, love the 365, especially the view of the legs of the crane! I think the one was looking for his mate?  The snow is so pretty!  We are supposed to get to 40 today, 45 tomorrow. Yay!  Then back in th deep freeze for a while.  Love the good morning pic, those look like crabapples! What a beautiful poem for Lani!

Lori, oh that Lemon Coconut cake for Lani, it is exquisite and looks so very yummy! How did it go at the Pain Clinic yesterday? I hope you got some relief...

Lani, I looked up herb shop in Pine AZ and found it! OMGosh, there are some wonderful items there! I am going to order some things today!! https://www.herbstoponline.com/   Thank you!  Yes, a beautiful sunset on Seal Island!

baz, you are a good neighbor! I am sure you are beloved in the neighborhood! We are close to the neighbors across the street, we help each other out when we can. I take Kelsey's lasagna and spaghetti sauce to them every now and then, they love it. And they take good care of our furbabies when we are all gone to Mom's.

Lisa, well, how did it go with the floors? Oh, I just saw them in FB, the floor is beautiful, love the color!

Lost Dutchman Snowing Arizona
Snow covers Lost Dutchman State Park. Named after the fabled lost gold mine, Lost Dutchman State Park is located in the Sonoran Desert, 40 miles east of Phoenix. Several trails lead from the park into the Superstition Wilderness and surrounding Tonto National Forest. Take a stroll along the Native Plant Trail or hike the challenging Siphon Draw Trail to the top of the Flatiron. Depending on the year’s rainfall, you might be treated to a carpet of desert wildflowers in the spring.

Good Morning Beakers

Kitchen floor is completed.  I did change my mind on a lighter color than I had originally picked out, and I am glad I did.  I think the darker  would have made the kitchen look smaller. The guys are here now, and working on the storm doors and front and back door.

Phyl - The B&B kitties were very curious as to what all the ruckus was going on in their area of the backyard.  Love the cozy room in your good night post. Thanks for 365.

baz - How sweet of you to make hot chocolate for your neighbors.  Sounds yummy!

tsk - In my family growing up we have always called soda or pop, Coke for Coca-cola.  It didn't matter if it was Pepsi or Coca-Cola it was, you want some Coke?  Since moving here, I call it soda.

oldguy - Never heard that song before by the Q-Kids.

Lani - Awww, sweet seal pup.  The B&B Kitties were happy last evening when the workers left for the day.  We did see them on cam after it got dark, they were climbing on the saw horses.   ;D

Lori - The Lemon coconut cake for Lani sounds delish!

Puff - Yay, you made it!  :D

karen - Wow, you and Piper are up early again.

clynn - Thank you!  :D

Royal Albatross ~ GLG Returns Home! 💕 Beautiful Skycalls With RLK! 💕 Fast Changeover! 💕 1.15.25
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iIKcAkoFFw

Jan 15, 2025
The video opens with RLK on the nest and GLG flying overhead on her return home! RLK recognizes her in mid air and he skycalls. GLG will circle around, land and come walking towards the nest - RLK skycalls to his beloved again. GLG returns his greeting as she approaches the nest. They both engage in some sweet affection and allopreening for a few minutes until RLK is ready to get up off the egg.

It is a fast changeover with RLK getting up and GLG immediately going to the egg to take over incubation duties. RLK stays around the nest to garden for a few minutes before he departs to the sea to forage for food.

GLG was gone twelve days at sea foraging for food. RLK now can enjoy some good fishing and squid meals! Thank you for watching! Video captured & edited by Lady Hawk

Mom GLG is returning home after 12 days at sea foraging for food.  :-*

So tell me/us Lani. . . Do you have an authentic family recipe for the haupia?  Or is there a good product we can buy?  I don't recall ever being overwhelmed on the islands when I've had it.

Home safe from the cheeseheads that zoomed past me going and coming as I drove the speed limit. My 45 minute drive takes me through countryside. I was overflown by 3 trumpeter swan.
I still have Novocaine so I brought some Popeyes tenders, mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac n cheese, which I will try later.

RIP David Lynch. As he said, “Keep your eye on the donut, not on the hole.”

No account required to view - just X out the pop-up to read the brief note from his family.

One of a kind. They broke the mold. I was a huge fan.
