Clynn, Love your morning squirrel pics!  ;D ... brrrr, cold temps you are tracking. I just checked on your mom's home city temp, 10 degrees... it's windy here, our temp says 21 but feels like is 10 degrees. I can feel the cold air near the windows.... Aly had a little Red doll. I can't remember what she called it.... The Tree of Life is gorgeous.

{{{Puff}}} I hear your frustration.... I've tried that seat belt trick for my big dog Bandit when he was in the car with us. He always set off it. It works. I also used it after I had surgery and couldn't have a seat belt on my tummy... I'm so sorry you can't find a  beautician to come to your home for a quick wash and rinse. Have you tried to see who senior resident homes use? Because they do here.

Tsk, we had to do the same thing with our smoke alarms. Replace 11 smoke alarms two years ago with 10 year lithium batteries only to have the go off last summer. It was suggested the one on the highest point in our home might have dust in them. Cleaned it and then all of them went off... Sadie became upset and wouldn't come into the house. So. we had to buy all new batteries again and replace....good luck.

Phyl, Beautiful sun catchers in your morning posts.. Love that color blue.... Mike told me it's suppose to snow in Reserve, LA tomorrow.  :o That's where his plant is located... Keep warm and take care.... how interesting about the rescued female eagle with broken beak and she laid an egg.. I wonder if they will release her to be with her mate. Or if they know where her nest is...

Lori, thanks for more on the eagle Orin and egg. I pray they find her mate. What if she has an egg in her nest with mate? Beautiful morning posts. I hope you're well after your visit to the pain clinic.

Karen, love your Snoopy... I hope they try to find Orin's mate. Surely he's in the same area they found her. I feel bad for her mate and I'm worried she had an egg in that nest too. Now I'm going to worry about a lone male eagle.

Tig, Camper's had a good day... games with grandsons and then homemade stew and you... sorry about the game.

Good night!

Good morning I’ve been up about an hour and read some of the posts I missed last night Lenny I agree with everything you have in your post and hope we’ll find out more about Ord today. Cute little baby Northeast Florida paper and I had to get up at Darko 30 in order to wake up and be ready for a delivery from Lowe’s that is scheduled for between 7 AM and 11 I guess now that I am up and ready for them it will probably arrive around 11.
We have a winter weather alert or advisory, and everyone is quite nervous about what is happening but I don’t quite understand it but HeLth called and didn’t want to come but I want her here because I have a few things I want done and then she can go school gets out at 2 PM. It is closed Wednesday so we shall see they predict snow for tonight. Temperatures Are in the 20s at night but up to the 40s or high 30s during the day. Certainly not conducive to a whole Lotta snow staying on the ground LANY I guess that would be the same for Louisiana. It will be a fun experience for kids who have not seen snow and piper might enjoy it. I don’t know time will tell what’s going to happen.
Back to the dryer I have the vents repaired and practically all replaced and then tested out the dryer and found it still was not drying well. I remembered a repair person in the house, saying to always use the high temperature setting as he thought there was some issue with the heating element information is that replacing one of those is almost as pricey as a new dryer so I decided to bite the bullet and ordered one. I’m getting a whirlpool which is what I am replacing and am getting a Similar model with knobs on the controls instead of a digital board I didn’t even know they made this option today.  I was surprised that I could get delivery lesson 24 hours after placing the order now fingers crossed that everything will work well I hate to see my electric bill after running the dryer so many times to get things dry.
Love the color, blue, the glass, cactus, the tree of life the snow drops the squirrel of a hat and it’s turning out and so many other pictures posted the past few days. Stay warm, BBL.

Sorry about the Notre Dame loss I really thought they would do better and upset Ohio
A note on seatbelts I really wish all of you would wear them at all times. I had a high school friend who suffered very serious injuries from car accidents while she was not wearing a seatbelt she didn’t like them because they wrinkled her clothes. She eventually died as a result of injuries, combined with a worsening condition of diabetes.
But if you are out and about in your car, perhaps you can go to one of the walk in hair salons and get a quick wash and dry. Otherwise the suggestion of seeing who goes to senior facilities is a good one. Good luck.

-7 degrees   :o

TIG  Too sad.  I didn't stick with the game  :(

LANI   I do remember all the problems you have had with your smoke alarms.  It has been a chronic problem in this home for 16 years now.

KAREN    Somehow your internal clock is off kilter - another early AM  ;) ;).  Good luck with the dryer delivery today.

Good Morning Beakers!

tsk, now that is intricate coffee art! I would hate to stir it!

karen, it's been very cold here but warmer days are coming!  In the 15-day forecast I see a long string of high 30s/low 40s! Right now it's -11 here (-25), 5 in Albion and 24 in Dallas and Corvallis. The weather is really getting crazy... Hope your help comes today to help you get your errands done!

Lani, I found 'Little Red' in 3 different places yesterday, still have not seen which cat is carrying her around! Cathy's daughter, Celia, had a doll who soon earned the nickname of 'Phyllis' because Celia carried her around by her hair and it resembled Phyllis Diller. She would say 'her not Phyllis!' but it wasn't long before Celia was calling her Phyllis. She still has that doll, she will be 49 in April!

Lori, thanks for the picture of NE31, I am so happy that the second egg hatched! Now we wait for SWFL!

Puff, I can barely remember years ago there was an eagle rescued with a damaged beak. I think a piece was missing, they made a piece to fit and yes, glue! It took quite a while but it worked! I will try to find the story...

Rugged Beauty - At first glance you might think these Bison must be cold, after all the temperature was below zero the morning I came across this scene. There is, however, a way to know that they are not. Wildlife of all sorts grow protective Winter coats and layers of fat that keep them warm. If they are well fed, healthy and not overly stressed, their coats will not allow much body heat to escape. If these Bison had been unwell, the snow would be melted by escaping body heat. So, despite the frigid February temperatures and the heavy snow falling all around them, I suspect these Bison are actually quite comfortable. They are just resting.

You made my addled mind remember another Yellowstone mention clynn.  I mentioned you have full range of doing what you can - but there are the MUST rules....

Do not bother the bison.  They do have the right of way.  If there's even just a group of two on the dressed trails you turn your machine off and wait until they saunter away.  You will be penalized $$$ also.
They need no unwanted hassles.

Whooops - Looks like the cold froze out the N1 cams.  Now showing Highlights.

Good news story. . . Just went out to get paper off the drive and put mail in the mailbox (no mail yesterday for MLK day).  Pleasant surprise waiting.  Two days' delivery was at the top of the drive.  :-*  They had been tossed up for me.  Y'all know about my refuse guys - When we switched to LRS I had super guys assigned to me.  I think I told the story of they exit their trucks to roll mine back up the drive for me and to me (neighbors jealous?).

Well, the paper person is now tossing the newspaper, in its plastic cover, all the way up to the garage door.  Noticed first time about a week ago.  Slides right up to the garage, like magic.  Now I've had Raul delivering papers since about '85  (my guess).  We have the same guy - his wife now too I'm guessing.  And, when I was teaching he graciously would deliver it before I left to drive into the city.  Read with my tea start and at lunch.  At Christmas he has always been remembered - and puts a thank you note in the "plastic paper sack".  However---he must come by about 3 or 4 o'clock.  I don't recall seeing him but maybe 5 or 6 times.  And now, the thank you note has his wife (Anna) signed - Anna and Raul.  There are some small, sweet things that make life pleasant.

Even in the worst of times ---- There are some gracious touches to make life enjoyable.

HUGS   to Anna and Raul.

P

Still got frostbite twinge doing the mailbox -  Minus 9 here!

Puff - my city, due to now organized waste collection, (meaning the city allotted 3 carriers to divide the city and for that got long term contracts with fee increases etc.

so, my city offered free bin "to the street and then return to house" services to anyone elderly or disabled.
I have had that service now for a few years. I feel bad for them in our extreme cold though.
