Dunrovin Ranch Ospreys Winnie and Swoop - Lolo, Montana
This nest is also part of the Montana Osprey program like Iris/Hellgate, Montana nest.

Winnie laid her 4th egg! :o ;D :-*

Swoop delivers dinner, Winnie takes off with it and Swoop takes over incubation.

Good morning Beakers!

Thank you Amy!!

Oldguy, can you post a new bookmark link to the Beak Room? My current book mark takes me to May 18th, the pages we lost. Thanks  :)

Phyl, Beautiful morning pics.... I pray all goes well with your last injection.... thank you for Amy's blog... a JB video, the majestic black wolf and raven. Love the Black wolf.

Clynn, beautiful morning pics.... enjoy planting your Vincas and Dianthus today... Mike will go with me this weekend to pick up my favorite annuals. He gave me a gift certificate at the town's plant fair. I'm looking forward to picking up a few plants and maybe a basket of flowers too. I can't believe Memorial Weekend will be here in a few days! ... great pics of Amy R and Amy L at work! Darling Falcon chick! Cute face  ;D

Tsk, I think I've only been able to keep 2 seasonal baskets of Bleeding Hearts alive in all the 32 years we lived in Kansas. I wouldn't try it here. In fact, I don't think I've seen them on sale here. They are beautiful.

Kb, I'm sorry your power is off. I hope it returns asap.

Lisa, Talk about feeling guilty in the morning, I swear if I post and a page disappears, I'll know it's me!  ???

Karen  :-*

Talons crossed!  🙏

Finally!...power just returned, over 12 hours later. was about to jump in Nellie and sit in the heat of the car.

I did send the mayor an e mail 2 hours ago. I spoke with her last year about same issues. My neighborhood needs a major grid upgrade. A city can put pressure on a utility cause we pay franchise fees. She can also pressure the state.

Last year I complained about no notifications from Excel. This time about our grid and notifications should be more specific.

Excel does show a map where crews are....Conveniently they were in our neighbor Edina (cake eaters) early early this am. And also South Minneapolis..so wasn't the rain keeping lineman or their control center.

Edina and South Minneapolis are much more expensive neighborhoods.

Gm!  Poweroutages nit limitrd to Mn!  Try z4 days with iut it!  Gey a little camp stove or use a bbq!
I am also a newbie here!
Thanks for thebpists .  Going to check Ba in Memberships
'

No thanks Karen on the 24 days....has that happened to you?

Your recommendations however not helpful...don't burn things inside the house, it's heavy heavy rain, 2 inches in less than 24 hours so no on the bbq...

My neighborhood is unique in my city with major grid issues...so, there's always someone on my city fb page, I don't have a problem with no power....Others in my neighborhood and a few others have had it...They have power across the street from me. My grid is shared with other cities.

BTW we froze, I had to sleep in the upright position as my bed wouldn't flatten, etc.etc.

I've been through maybe 3 long ones last summer....3 day outages, 2 in the last week ,and maybe 10 other major long standing ones since moving here. Many shorter term ones.

Every neighborhood is different, even in the same city.

No one questions our country wide grid needs upgrading. Wait till AI data centers need all their power. It will be a nightmare for everyone sooner than you think.

Someone has designed a satellite that can beam back radio waves from massive in the sky solar panels if you will.
The satellite had to be made light enough to carry loads and made of special materials.
Innovation like this is the only thing that will help I fear.

KAREN   Is Mickey still here?   You had 4 days without power?  That was before your generator right?

LANI   Swoop and Winnie will be busy if all 4 make it.  ;D

TIG and LISA  Maybe let Amy know your specific problem with posting pics for when she has time to work with it.

tsk It's been pouring rain for 12 hours so no on the grilling.

I'll be throwing all food from fridge and keep the freezer food.

4th time now in a year I've thrown hundreds of dollars of food....

Having food delivered today after throw fridge food....it's pouring here for the next 48 hours.

Gutters are full of helicopter seeds since I cleaned them 2 weeks ago....so pouring out everywhere.

kb - Glad to hear that your power has been restored.  Sorry about you having to throw away some food.

tsk - I wish I would have copied and pasted the error that I got when trying to post a pic.  I was just doing it the normal way using the Insert image button.

Lani - Thanks for the Dunrovin updates.

Wellie, the Mayor of my city just got back to me.

They are meeting with Excel next week and will bring up my particular area of the grid.

Last year the Mayor and I spoke and they told here my part needed a major hardware upgrade.

I told her not to necessarily believe them if they say they did it.....

Just don't forget speaking to your Mayor's, CC, etc. does help to find/fix your utility issues.

KB    Haven't checked my gauge yet but we have had on and off downpours.  In fact got myself another free car wash between them  LOL   Let's see if the mayor follows through??

Too bad about HM being ID'd  as the eagle that died

George Wendt died today - Cheers actor.

I'm finding I can no longer use Chrome lens finder to ID pics.  It no longer appears when I right click on a picture.  Could be a function of needing Windows 11 - My niece will be here Sunday to transfer my info to new computer which I have had since March  LOL

What's happening now is when I click on the Beak room and then click on "New" , it sends me several pages back and not the page I last posted on.  Hmmm

BL    Sue Bruhling posted it on FB.  I'll see if I can find it and post here when I am done.
