Let me recommend/remind y'all about a great snow experience. . .

Just outside Yellowstone rent a couple snow machines (yours to do whatever is within the rules, and there are rules).  Your final rule is to bring them back before sunset- oh and watch the gas level.  What a great day in the snow and enjoying a great landscape.

I didn't do this when  I lived there growing up.  We had to wait until they invented the machines.

Try it, you'll like it.  Last time we did it was for a Valentine week.  Loverly  :-*

A family of cheetah sleep with the forest guard every night.

Morning all.

for some reason yesterday I couldn't shake off that it Wasn't Friday!...lasted until I took a very long nap.
somehow I lost a day this last week.

Snow shoveling on my agenda.

Good Morning!
Tsk, you are good!  The snow picture is on a walking trail in Springfield!  A friend and firmer working buddy posted it!  Mickey had 10 inches or so but did not send any pictures.   The  last year that I officially lived in Chicago, in the mid 70’s there was 10 inches of snow on April 10th!   What a mess , so unexpected!
Another picture of the walking trail.

Good Morning/Afternoon Beakers

Phyl - You got a nice snowing!  Thanks for the poem, and the 365.

{{Puff}} - That is great that the decoration service will come take them down for you.

tsk - We were up to 32° yesterday, which cause melt from the roof to make icicles by the end of the day.  My street is still slick as an ice skating rink.  Today we are supposed to be at 41°.  Hoping for a lil more melt on the street, and in areas around the yard.

karen - Looks pretty in Springfield on the tree.

Lani - Mama cat in the B&B, is the mama to the outside B&B kitties.  :)  Thanks for the Royal update.

clynn - Oooo, I bet a snowmobile would be fun!  Glad to see some melt in Albion.  Very pretty Amaryllis.   :-* the firefighters!

kb - Take it easy shoveling.

Hi Beak Room, A question please.

Does anyone keep in contact with Eagles4evr in California?  I don't remember her exact location there.

She hasn't posted for a while. I pm'd her the other day thinking maybe she'd get an email notification but apparently not. I haven't heard back.

She's been in my thoughts since the fires began and hoping all is okay and safe with her.

Thanks in advance for any replies. Take care.  :)

{{{Paulie}}} I've heard from Eagles4 a couple of times this week. She and family are fine. They are close to Monterey, south of Santa Cruz and San Jose. I'll let her know you asked about her. Take care.  :-*
Hi Lani, Hugs back to you.  :) Good news about Eagles and her family! Thank you. And thank you for letting her know I asked.
I did a quick read just now and saw you have or had a cold and headache. I hope you're feeling better.

karen, kb and tsk, Thanks to you also for the news on Eagles.

Puff, You have your arm or wrist in a cast?? Sorry to read that. Take care.

Wishing all in the Beak a nice day. Stay warm!

Video shows goats being shepherded down a hillside in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood Friday night with flames from the approaching Palisades Fire in the background. Drivers got out of their cars to help grab goats after a dozen or more of them began running towards traffic in the street. They were eventually herded into blue trucks by handlers.

100's of them I heard....yah!

Karen-  Yes, so true... Pretty snap of,  I think,  a willow and catkins covered in snow/ice.

KB - just love the  Cheetah video sleeping with their handler, lotta trust and affection there ; goat herding to save them video in Palisades.  And, rented out to residents too.  :)    Easy on shoveling.

Lani--tks for the Royal Albie report-such snowy white feathers

Puff--hope your wrist is improving daily; nice snow memory using a snow blower.

Lisa--we're in the 'melt down' process  today also;  comfy socks.

Lol, the twin , cloistered sisterhood look very crabby!   Lolol!
Tsk, GreenBay is not up to snuff today but the game is t over!
Lisa,   The Commanders play this evening so Jeff needs to stay up late and watch!  I remember the days of melt and freeze and, melt and freeze!  Icicle’s are dangerous!    See if you have a long handled broom that will get them away from the door and ReS where the kitties might wait fir tge staff to bring dinner!
Been to Brentwood several times to get my hair cut by my   Cargo Chicago, stylist who had relocated
I knew there were coyotes in the hills that would come down to get water from the swimming pools around the area, but never heard about the goats. I’m certainly glad that they are someplace safe so they will not be affected by fire. I can’t imagine leaving a pet at home during evacuation have left in a hurry from hurricanes and always piled my dogs in the car and took them wherever I thought I was going, sometimes  with no plans!
Anyway, thank heavens for the firemen, who are saving pets, as well as people my prayers go out to them .

Seds

The Lookout...the map guy...Basically says the fires are all contained....for now

Many people were not able to get to their homes after the fire to get their pets.

Including this guy whose dog was found 5 days after fire.

{{{Puff}}} Wonderful memory for you. I wish we would have taken the opportunity with the girls back in the days.... take care.

Lisa, Love the socks!  ;D.. awww you have B&B kittens. I have questions, but I won't bombard you.  ;D

Paulie, I feel better, thanks... you take care too.  :-*

Kb, Posted below the pic...."These goats are used for clearing brush in the hills. They will eat up brush dry grass weeds. Especially on steep slopes. The workers are from a landscape firm -see shirt. They rent the goats out to clear brush for people.  Cutting it close to get them back." poor animals. glad they got them. I hope they are all of them.

BL Thanks for the music... Iowa drones  ;D

Kb, I pray they are contained, but I heard the wind is picking up.

Karen, I agree, my pets would be in the car first. When my friend lost her Star Valley home two summers ago, she said, first thing she did was grab their dog and cat, and put them in their car first... It's part of our Firewise plan too... so glad the firefighters and rescuers are finding people's pets, horses, livestock and taking them to safety... so heartbreaking.  :'(

Good night!

Dear Lord, we ask for Your protection over those in harm’s way. Shield every person, every family, every child, animal and wildlife caught in the path of these flames. Guide them to safety and provide shelter for the displaced.

Please help the firefighters, emergency responders, and volunteers who risk their lives daily to combat the flames. Strengthen them with courage and endurance, and surround them with Your divine protection. May their efforts be fruitful, and may they find rest and peace amidst their labor. Amen
