Jim Brandenberg. Rest in peace. What a sadness - a special person and not just an incredible nature photographer.

KB, thanks, I also wasn't able to view the Brandenberg article you posted the link to, since it required me to be a subscriber.

Tig, thanks for posting that link to a different article re. Jim Brandenberg. I was able to view it.

I very much enjoyed this article about Jim Brandenberg, and his death, from another outlet local to Minnesota/Minneapolis. I really enjoyed reading it. It's rather long, but includes additional info about him I didn't know. I found it very worth the time to read through to the end, despite the many embedded ads, that I could easily scroll past to keep reading.

((Phyl, and Jim)), I'm glad Jim made it home yesterday, and hope you both get lots of rest this weekend. Feel better and better.

HAPPY CATURDAY, BEAKERS!!  :D

I loved all the posts, and everyone's cat stories were all so entertaining. Great pics of kitties at everyone's abodes, now, and historical... or maybe in BL's case, hysterical.  ;) ;D

It's pretty amazing, with all the upsets that tend to come during the NCAA Tourney, that all four Number 1 seeds made it to the Final Four!!  I'll be checking in on the 1st of the Final Four games today, but I will be paying much closer attention to the 2nd game.  ;D I will have to say, "Go Houston Cougars!" Some of you will know why.  ;) ;D Oh, it seems that Houston and Duke faced off against each other in last year's NCAA Tournament, in the Sweet 16 round, and Houston lost - by only 3 points (54-51). Hmmm, I wonder if that will make for payback today.  ;D

Take care, All. Many are still facing the possibility of severe weather and both generational and life-threatening flash flooding and river flooding, today, and the next several days, still. Prayers for all who have lost so much, and those who lost loved ones. Stay safe, All. Peace. SED.

It's reposted on a fb page called "That's so Minnesota"....unfortunately it's a better article than all the rest. Still it's the twincities.com or the Pioneer Press..and I'm not subscribed to any of the above.

yup... Star Trib and Pioneer Press are difficult. I don't even try to read anything there. I am able to access the PP obits tho. Hmmm.
And I can only read the first page of public FB pages, since I don't subscribe.  ;)

Have a good evening all  ;D

karen I appreciated your report on the suitcase latrine.  It brought up my memories of The Original Puff.  Once too often he watched as I packed up for a trip.  (Part of the job you know.)  But he learned what it meant.  Yep, relieved himself.  First problem was what did I now have to take with me.  I always pack the day/night before leaving; there was no way I could do laundry.  So I looked like a Raggedy Ann that time out.  But I sure learned my lesson.

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, love those sweet sleeping dogs... Glad your team won! Check the Hellgate Osprey page, an osprey was spotted near the nest!

tsk, your Mom's saying brought back a memory, Cathy and I used to sing 'Let me call you Sweetheart, you were my first pick-up truck.' I don't remember where we got that, it must have been in a cartoon or commercial! Anyway, it lives to this day!

baz, thanks for the link to Jim Brandenburg, he was a Gem, that's for sure... When I open a link and it demands a subscription to read (like who wants to pay for a subscription to some other town's newspaper...), I copy the title of the article and google it, I almost always find the same article and read it there.

Phyl, love those melting cats you posted yesterday! Hope you and Jim are taking it easy and getting lots of rest... Great pics of Bob and Ms. Maggie!

Lisa, that's a great picture of the cat and coffee you posted yesterday, saved it in my Pinterest!

Big Bear - Sunny and Gizmo!

Good morning hot and humid today with highs in the high 80s I believe rain is coming Monday and should drop the temperature is a little not happy with a basketball outcome and won’t watch the final as I have no interest in either team but good luck to those who do test I also like the keypad this morning. Thanks, Clynn.

Phyl, hope allis ok   At your house.  Worry about Jim!
My back is acting up again. Unable To get it under control so we’ll have to go for shots again I sure hate the process when that needle goes in. It seems like it’s hitting bone and they stick me about four times before they threw that I guess if I want to walk I have to do it anyway I’m off to do a few things around here and may be back later. Have a great Sunday and take care.
