My first time to see four! Thanks for the screen shot, Linda. Good luck to this family!

So sorry to learn that the newest eaglet, FSV 55, did not survive. Hope the other three continue to do well.

This morning one of the three remaining eaglets fell off the side of the nest.    :'(

Oh no, so sad to lose the littlest, and now this tragedy! I'm not on FB but looked to see if I could read an update. Is it possible one is stuck and not visible or did it actually fall? Or did one fall and now another is stuck? How awful either way!

Nanimal, the older one that went off the nest today slipped through the branches at the edge of the nest and disappeared.  I believe that Colorado Parks & Wildlife went out to the base of the nest tree this afternoon; not sure if they found the eaglet or not.  I'll update here when there is something definitive.

The weather here has been unseasonably hot; 88 here today and nearly that yesterday with no clouds. Seems as if sun was just too much for the newly hatched FSV 55 with no shade available.

As of 6:00 p.m., the two remaining eaglets are back in the center of the nest and have been fed.

I appreciate the update, Linda. Very good news about the two remaining eaglets. I watched this nest more regularly many years ago. I recall some tough times, much of them related to the weather conditions there.

Sounds as if Xcel Employees from FSV first went to the nest yesterday and didn't find the fallen eaglet; later CPW went out and located FSV52.

Hoping that FSV 53 and 54 will continue to do well.
