So this afternoon he brought a bird.  When she showed up he kept it clutched in his talons the whole time they were together.

Finally alone with the meal. 




She did get to have it...

Wow is it windy today.  He flew into the nest box and she was almost hovering when the wind caught her.  They did a bunch of bowing.




After they left he brought a bird in.  When he landed on the perch and tried transferring it from his talons to his beak he just about blew off, so took it in still holding it and stashed it in the back right corner.

Later on she went in the nest box and he hurried in right behind her, but she turned and pulled the bird out of the corner and started plucking it.  He wanted it, but she wasn't about to let him have it.

I think all our falcons laid either 4 or 5 eggs this year.
Its the year of the cicada apocalypse!
The young can eat those!
