Good Morning Beakers....Merry Christmas Eve!

tsk - Glad to hear that you had alot of helpers with the Church decorations.  Good job on the getting radio to work again!  I had tires rotated and oil changed, but of course they said I needed a fuel induction cleaning, but had that in May 2023, so told them I will wait till next oil change to get that done.  They say you need one every every 30,000 to 60,000 miles, and its only been 25,000 miles since the last one.

Phyl - Thanks for the 365, and the Origins of 6 Classic Christmas Songs.  We bought an additional kitty B&B not too long ago.  It is a two cat one, so we have two out back now, plus the shed.  Here is a pic of one of them in the single cat house.

oldguy - Recipe for the ham in slow cooker, please?

Lani - Thank you  :-*  Three of the kitties out back are part of the TNR program.  The mom, dad and one more needs to be TNR.

Lori - Congrats to Captiva on their lil fluffball!

kb, Puff, tig, karen and all - Morning  :)

I hear ya Puff...

I'm prepping some old fashioned fruit salad with extra cherries 🍒 as a finish to Omaha hamburger patties and tater tots.

Camper is off to take the annual Christmas card pics for the family with the Navy "kids" . And our grand puppy. I'll get to see them all tomorrow evening.

Merry Merry...

Tsk-- do a search " The Origins of 6 Classic Christmas Songs' and" How a poem transformed Christmas into the festive holiday it is today' .. I can understand the Nat Geo link not working as it takes a subscription to Nat'l Geo magazine or digital magazine. That's why I posted the History.com linke which should work.  History.com is the web site for the History cable channel.

Lisa--I've seen those 'houses' for outdoor kitties. Even considered getting one as  a few months a go I had a stray that hung around a few days and
moved on...  Some of those even have a built in heater and flap doors.

Lori--many thanks for Captiva Eagle Cam and snap of the Little one this morning...  Welcome to the world!  The kitty mischief collage...Life's
just better with cats.  ;D

Hi Puff and Tig

KB--cute deer video this AM, tks

kb - Hope you got your walk in with Ollie.

tsk - TNR  is the (trap, neuter, release) program.

Puff - LOL, aww bunnies and squirrels are cute too!

tig - You fruit salad sounds yummy.

Lani - Love your Santa

Phyl - The cathouses are insulated, and also have a flap door, but we tacked them up.  They would not go in them with the flap hanging down.

Lisa - I sure did get that walk in with Ollie. Cleats on as a light foggy mist with temps below freezing once again led to slippery spots.
We are good now, thanks.

Tig--I remember watching this on aired date. It is quite moving. Tks. Enjoyed it again.

KB- glad walk w/ Ollie man went well. Cleats  ;)

Lisa--I don't know of a cat around that likes 'flaps'.  The outdoor house I was going to buy for the strays was insulated...only way
I could have afforded one,  period.

Happy Day, Beakers!  :)

Dreary out, thanks to a coastal low hanging over my coastline... drippy, with off-and-on steady rain, and off-and-on low visibility - supposed to get to 48 degrees today... not sure it made it - has mostly been in the low-to-mid 40s though and a north wind. Brrr on cold rain. But we really need the rain here, badly, so I will be thankful for getting some. I have a headache today that feels like an ice cream freeze headache. I didn't have any ice cream, or even anything cold to eat or drink. I hope it goes away soon - what a bother.  ::) :P  Tomorrow I expect a sunny day with a high in the low 50s, so that will be nice for the kids and their new outdoor toys. And nice for Zippo and me, too!  ;D

Zippo and I enjoyed an omelet this morning, late, and I had extra coffee with half-and-half - mmm! A treat! I needed the half-n-half for the crab bisque I'm making. I was going to make it Christmas Day, to have with my steak, but considering the "soup weather" I'm getting today, I've decided I'm going to make it today. Tomorrow I'll have the filet mignon and asparagus... and more crab bisque - which will probably be better then... seems like so many soups and stews and such are better the next day anyway.

Lori, I saw a kitty in one of your posts who is going to be getting lumps of coal in his stocking! LOL! Yay for the new little arrival in the nest at Captiva!!  :-* :-*  Good video snip - he got the helmet off his head, so now he only needs to get his little wiggle-butt out of the bottom half of his shell. LOL!

BL, you and Pip sure made the rounds, and now you are back to home and hearth!

TSK, glad you got lots of help decorating the church - I know it all looks beautiful! Do you mean you disconnected your main car battery from it's terminals for 30 minutes to fix your car radio problem? Or were you talking about some other battery in your car? Glad it worked!

Lani, I will not get to watch the Chiefs game live tomorrow since I don't have Netflix, but I can watch it replay tomorrow night on the NFL cable TV channel ( I think at either 8:00 or 8:30 PM, my Eastern time). Go Chiefs!  :D

Lisa, you and Jeff have done so much to help the neighborhood strays - can you organize them into a band? The Stray Cats?  8) tee hee... sorry... getting silly here... That's a great picture of that nice and warm home for that kitty.  :-*  Glad you didn't let the car dealer milk you for the extra service - the nerve of them, and right before Christmas!  :P

KB, enjoy your "doings" today, and your rest tomorrow!

Oldguy, I have some familiarity with Leahy's Celtic music, but not all the other related info. Thanks. Mmm, lots of yummy food coming out of your kitchen!!

Tig, I love cherries in fruit salad! Yum!

Karen, I hope you and Piper are toasty warm inside. Did you pick the rest of your Satsumas? I saw it might get to freezing in your neck of the woods - was that last night maybe? I hope it didn't get quite that cold there and that your plants made it through!

Puff, I didn't notice that detail about the size of the backpack on that Eagle. Oh well, I will still pretend that it might be The Diva. I wish!!  :-*

Phyl, did Maggie decide to open any of those presents under your pretty Christmas tree early?  ;) :D

Clynn, I hope you didn't have to travel through much bad weather, and the drive to your Mom's went smoothly. Have a fun visit!  :)

Waving to All the Beakers!! Enjoy your day!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All!  Peace. SED.  :)

baz  Wasn't much but my recollection/memory from before.  Waiting for John or Amy to opine.  Someone else though did say they thought it looked like the model used at a different location.  Maybe someone remembers where that mentioned was.
