Good Morning Beakers

Lani - Yes, lots of money for the bridge, and I can bet an increase in our tolls to cross it!

karen - You are lucky to have your lil orange tree in the backyard. Merry Pre Christmas!

oldguy - I think we are having your weather today.  It's cold and windy.  Thanks for the videos.  I am working my way thru them.  :D

kb - Hope you are less sore today.

BL - I don't have my own personal nest like the landowners in Trempealeau, but I do get  BE's flying over from Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge while I am at the kitchen sink.  And, I do have a nice big sturdy pine in my backyard, that I wish a BE would settle in.

Phyl - Thanks for enjoying the oranges.  :D  You have got good use out of your 14 yr old Dell!

tsk - I think when RRP did yearly maintenance at Tremp, they said the nest was in someone's yard.

clynn - One span of the bridge is 70 yrs old, and the other span is 50 yrs old.  The State did have a large surplus when the last Gov. left office, not sure now tho.  The bridge needs constant maintenance, and after the Key Bridge collapse, the same thing almost happened to the Bay Bridge by a ship that lost power.  So, all these studies that have done for the past 20 years were kicked into high gear then.

BL   Hope you made it home safely..

KB   How are the neighbors reacting to your sister's decorations?

OLDGUY    Guess if you have the room and several cats, that interactive "Christmas tree" is the answer  LOL   Yes, I've been noticing that about Bellamy.   :)

LANI   You remembered.  LOL  Yes I love January.  The hustle and bustle is over and I tackle those once a year jobs that are time consuming.  Takes me longer to do everything now but who cares..    Hope Mike got home safely yesterday and can now relax for a while.

LISA   Tim's cardiologist will not take him off his blood thinners.  He did mention however a new technique being used called "Watchman".  If he had this procedure done he would need no blood thinners.  We have an appt mid January with a cardiologist who's specialty is this type of procedure to talk about it.  Do not think Tim will go for it however.   This week now will start - just Ozempic and no insulin!  We shall see how it goes.  His 3x/day blood sugars have risen some over this past week just on 5 units of insulin so I'm a little worried.  We shall see.

CLYNN   Blues and silvers this AM  :D    Well at least you found Milton's obit.  It's a fascinating story.   This will be my 3rd PC as well.

PHYL    Look at all those tuxedos  ;D

https://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-developed-a-questionnaire-to-identify-if-your-cat-is-a-psychopath

A relatively short article which is good, and the questionnaire embedded in the article itself. Cat owners?

tsk - her neighbors love it and often stop by and comment...I told her she needs to send me a new one every morning!..so far she has.

Yah, winter solstice for us means the days will start getting longer!...seconds and minutes added going forward. For me if I remember correctly it takes at least a month to notice it.

A warm up sorta starts today from low temps...snow will start to melt next week...will still have white at the end of that warm up though...

I'm feeling better this am. Still need to sweep the last 2 inches off lower deck today. After already removing 5.

I find those "removing snow" muscles sort of get strong about the time at the end of winter. Only to start over with a new group of muscles come spring time gardening/mowing...

Looks just like my morning view...from a nextdoor city.

Puff - That sunrise at Flyway was pretty this morning.

Phyl - I can see a price increase in the tolls at Key Bridge too, with what it is going to cost to build the new one. Awww....love all the tuxedo's.

tsk - Is that sweet Lulu in your morning pic?  I just read about the Watchman.  I hope Tim will think about it.  I have noticed an increase in blood sugar over the holidays.  It's all the Christmas cookies!  My endocrinologist says, she expects it to be a lil higher during the Christmas holidays. Hope all is good for Tim!

kb - I love the pretty Christmas lights on railing against the snow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BGGOLDEN!

A Barred Owl dropped in through the chimney of a home in Arlington, Virginia earlier this week. The owl decided to settle on top of the homeowner’s Christmas tree as a resting spot.

It was then safely released back into the wild by @AWLAArlington
