Good Morning Beakers

Phyl - Thanks for the 365's.  Glad to hear your back is better.  How did you hurt it?

kb - Cute good night pic.

BL - Those drones were over Maryland in the past couple days too.  Our previous Governor said, they were flying over his home.

Lani - Yay...two beautiful egglets for NEFL!

tsk - Pretty kitties this morning.  :D

clynn - Love the last pic of the kitty looking at the tree.

Off to Walmart and grocery...catch up later!

Happiest y Caturday!  Lovely morning g, expected  high of 70!  Was checking swfl when .clynn was posting.  Congrats to nefl!  Chicks are popping out all over  down  here!
Tsk inspired me to make a pot of chili today!  Had all the  ingredients.
Sams order coming in as I  was very low on decaf!  Late afternoon favorite drink.
Have a good day and get rid of drones and leave the sky to the birds!

At the Raptor Center I saw lots of them in for rehab...and yes, they are larger in person than they look on film

Good Caturday Morning Beakers

Nasty weather here this morning...  Freezing rain started about 1am this morning with a temp of 24 - now up to 30 and still getting freezing rain.  Temp is forecast to get above freezing between noon and 1pm.  DOT map is showing a lot of Eastern Iowa with 100% ice on roads, but cameras on I-80 shows light traffic moving normally.  Temp forecast to get up to 37 this afternoon with rain, so most of the ice should get melted.  I have no need to go anywhere until my weekly card game at 5pm. ;)

Lani  LOL 'Grinch Cat'

Puff isn't that an awesome photo...can never see too many eagles or...

CLynn kitties this AM... no bad 'hair' day... when one just wakes up

Karen little cartoon is cute,     ;)

Lisa  I trusted a chiropractor with pulled muscles in my back. Now I live with 4 ruptured discs  OS1, L5, 4, and  3.  I had no surgery.   After 22yrs + discs have fused naturally to some degree.  But, at least I'm functional though  chronic pain from arthritis/inflammation.I keep my spine limber with daily stretches and floor exercises.

OG tks for links ...Penny and her week, all about the 'necklace' and the feeders; interesting dissolving house; safe travels  to card game  :)

I missed all 13th warnings - Had my bad day on the 12th, beat the 13th rush.

All I did was take a stroll out to the mailbox - an early morning 911 and a bonus to trip to Good Sam.  Bundled up good, was just strolling, early quiet, no rush.  Did everything right except stay on my two feet.

Let's just get it out -- two bones fractured in my left wrist.  I know it was my fault totally.  Was not rushing, just let my mind roam and plan else I had to do that morning.  Vital rule/caveat people over 60?  No multi-tasking.  One thing at a time. I even had good shoes, no ice, sun coming up.  Brain turned off. Upps, big no-no.  Biggest problem (my alibi) is it was the fault of my Crocs and my slate entryway.  No, not wearing my flip-flops.  In winter I swish over to Crocs Brooklyn slip-ons.  Hate the looks of their flips, even though I probably have 3 dozens.  In case the situation ever happens to you. . . All Crocs don't slip, very safe, found that out as a good reason to buy so many (even tho they're ugly).  Second, when cold hits slate flooring it will form either dampness or outright frost.  And I repeat, my mind wandered.

In 4 weeks  they'll check out what stage I'm in.  Might be 6-8 weeks.  Present situation:  Christmas cancelled on my end.  About half through decorations, niece's husband was just here on Tuesday to get things down or out; cards and stuff laying all over dinette ready to write; list made for all the food, fish, cookie stuff --- just think of all the $$$$ saved.  Thought I'd able to handle things - but then again, I could drive, I could get into the car, I could just flash the CC and have things delivered - BUT -  I wouldn't be able to close the car door to even leave the garage(left side, big, heavy door).  Ergo special dispensation granted!!!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS AND ALL THE TRIMMINGS.  This will be the second time in my home (1971) that I have to cancel.   :'(  :'(  :'(   .........

Good Afternoon Beakers

karen - Love your Caturday cartoon funny!  Mmm, chili sounds good.

kb - Glad you are not seeing any snow.  From the cam views in Decorah, it looks cold.

oldguy - Be safe driving to your card game.

Lani - I had to bust out laughing at your Caturday kitty.  That would be Bandit's look if I dressed him in an outfit.   ;D

Phyl - Glad to hear the daily stretches and floor exercise is helping you.

tsk - Have you been busy at Church?

((Puff)) - Oh no, I hope your wrist heals quickly.

Well, the card game is off for tonight - temps did not rise as forecasted - only 33 and rain - forecast was for 37 by now.  Too many old folks to try and walk uphill on ice. ;)
