Good evening Beakers!  47 now and we are on a freeze watch!  The temps below 32 degrees will not last long and I can take my orchid  plant back out to the porch.
Piper and I had a reheated version of yesterday s dinner.  Love dressing!  Nothing to stuff!

Lisa, thanks for posting the  Eastern version of the grand.canyon!

Tsk, do you make turkey soup out of the Brest?  What  is your recipe?   You were a busy bee today,  did Tim behave while you were gone?

Clynn, like Tsk, the jeans  are  not a good look!   Lolol!   Cannot even go to goodwill!  Lolol.  Otherwise, wonderful keepsake pictures!   Bella and talon have really grown up!   I hope there will be collections
for both of them cataloguing their lives!   If the only record is on line I wonder if the technology to view it will exist  20 years from now!

Phyl, your dinner sounds delicious as does every bodies.  Did Jim enjoy it?    On of my favorite meals as well!   Fun and pretty morning pictures!

Lani, thanks for the Royal report!
Old Guy, I bet you are exhausted!  I went to Home Depot
Depot . Garden Center for Paper White bulbs today and .i could not even get a chuckle from the cash!er    I did not even ask for help.  Got my bulbs , checked out and left.   Stopped in Michaels  for help with a door decoration and found out they stopped doing that.  Probably during Covid!   Have to call a local florist!
No local deals here!

Thanks BL, RIP Alice.

Phyl, pretty morning puzzle like pics ;D .. beautiful late fall snow, thanks for nature video... beautiful jaguar...

Clynn, pretty morning pics, love the dream catcher... we had a nice Thanksgiving. Mike was very happy.... beautiful pic of Erin and family, they have such beautiful smiles.. especially the gobblers ...Fun and happy pic of the "S" sisters and Miss Bella! She looks so cute in the middle.  ;D

Kb, Tig, interesting "stuffing or dressing " discussion....  while watching the Chief/Raiders's game the sports gal asked that question of the players.. it was half/half. In Kansas I learned to what is stuffed into the turkey is "stuffing" and what's baked outside of the turkey in a casserole dish is called "dressing" like "Oyster dressing" ... but to each's own. At this stage of my life I'm not changing. LOL! ... stay warm  ;D

Lisa, your brave to go out today! Glad you were able to get a few good deals....  Mike had to meet his soon to be new boss in Gila Bend today. He said the freeways were busy... thanks for posting Karen's FB post. But, in reading the comments below the pic, they said it was fake.  ???

{{{Karen and Piper}}}  :-*

Tsk, you've been a busy gal today.. I hope Tim kept to himself while you were gone.  ;D ... "casserole or hot dish" LOL! I've used either terms.

BL, very nice, I enjoyed the music.

Good night!

Good Evening Beakers

It was a hectic day at work today - but not packed like 5 years ago.  Never more than 5 people in a checkout line, so not a long wait to get thru and out the door.  Our Black Friday Sale runs from Friday thru Monday - but a lot of items were sold out by noon - the store opened at 6am.

From my stepson who is a prep cook in a restaurant.
In Iowa, health dept. does not allow food (stuffing or giblets) to be cooked inside of a turkey at restaurants.  So it will be always be labeled as dressing on the menus, so as to not lead a customer to think it was cooked inside of the bird.  In order for stuffing to get to 165 degrees inside of the cavity, the outside of the bird would be over cooked, according to him, as chicken/turkey meat can legally be served at 145.

Spam is a mixture of pork shoulder and ham hock meat. - the big difference is that the meat is cooked after the can is sealed.  This results in the meat shrinking in the can and having juices/fat around the meat chunk.  This is the same method that is used in Canned Ham, with the same results.

This music group is 2 brothers that grew up in Ecuador (Pueblo Imbaya Native Community) - they have lived in New Mexico for about 10 years now.  They have posted many songs on You Tube - check out their site if you like their music...

KAREN    I did not have a turkey carcass this year so I had bought turkey wings which I had baked and then threw in my big pot with lots of boxed broth.  I do not have a recipe.  I throw in leftover gravy, dressing if I have it, carrots onions, celery seasonings and noodles or barley and of course turkey whatever I have.

LANI   How did the meeting go with Mike's new boss?   Hope it wasn't a hard transition at this stage. :-\   Gosh I 'm dismayed at the fact that you can't believe anything you see anymore.  Peaceful goodnight moonlit photo  :)

OLDGUY    Spam, the meat is cooked after the can is sealed???  Wonder how they do that?   Like the sound of Inka Gold   Boy, those hedgehogs could be a full time job !  Awww  Jax got a good home.   If my math is right that ship is over 3 football fields long!!!  :o

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY, BISCHUE

Good Morning Beakers!  It's Caturday again!

Phyl, great morning cat pics! Especially the cat with the umbrella! 13 here right now, high today 28. Brrr! TWC says it will be 48 on Wednesday, but cold until then and after! I will have one more day to get the last bit of leaves from the crooks and crannies that Erin didn't get on Wednesday. The city extended leaf pickup for one more week. I imagine they got a lot of calls because many trees are late shedding their leaves this year!

Lori, good morning! How are you doing these days? Hope Mike's meeting went well!  Stovetop Stuffing breaks the rules! What if they had called it Stovetop Dressing? Most probably would have wondered... Never heard of Hot Dish before living in Duluth. Wonder what they call the Jello salads?  ;D

tig, you started it... ::)

oldguy, that's good news about the store, maybe I will venture out next year since it's not as much of a mad house as it used to be! Love the Hedgehog Express! And the adopted cat story, so glad he found a home. WOW on that ship! Holy mackerel! I have been on the bridge when a ship went through but never one like that. They used to let people stay on the part of the bridge for 25 cents, when it went up, you could look down on the ships!, for 25 cents.

Lani, a quiet and peaceful Thanksgiving at your house...not so here.  Bella can liven up the atmosphere anywhere! I had the Munchkins for a few hours yesterday while Mom & Dad shopped Black Friday deals. We did some art work, twice! And she played with her baby dolls!  Talon did the usual, playing games on his phone and walking around with a cane...  Pooped out again, Ed ordered a pizza!

tsk, we used to call that 'crap soup' when Mom just threw anything left over into the soup!  If it ever comes up for a vote, I would vote that anything AI be markes as such! It does create beautiful pictures but now we can't believe everything is real... Like you, I do not understand what is so hot about the torn up jeans (not to mention the draft up your legs in the winter!), but it has been going on for years now!

BL, good tunes!

karen, Sydney also has some jeans with holes, although not as bad as those in the girl's picture! I offered to buy her a pair of jeans if she couldn't afford them, she just laughed. We both know she paid more for those than she would have for a nice pair!!
