Tig - I was just going to post this. DNR update.

to make sure peeps aren't confused that this is NOT Nancy and Beau, although Bonnie and Thomas will visit N and B and the old camera on their old nest that fell will still run.

Going to probably ask a teacher whose kids watch the unnamed pair to come up with names.

Too hard to get power to N and B's new nest is what someone said...

I'm a little sad about that myself. But, we shall see.

Missions for today accomplished tsk Next free time will be Thursday.  All day professional hours tomorrow.

For all caught up on the Barrow "day" statistics, started by BL I believe.  Y' all know I've been there a few times (?) but that made me think back - I don't think I've ever had it snow when I was there.  I've been there in February/March, been up to Barrow in May.  No snow snowing but frozen snow (aka) by the feet.  Unique people only should try to live there.  I remember sitting and talking to a native Alaskan 95+ women, told us about their routine.  She lived in a rural area -  most of Alaska is rural - but said during the dark months a few always make walks to keep their minds in working status.  No snowflakes, but I do have some super aurora lights pictures.  Another cool pic is Tony barefooted walking into the Arctic Ocean as the ice was breaking up in the "spring".

clynn  Great pictures of your friends homestead in TN.

Lori's story about thje trees I found interesting.  I was going to add that I hope you're still talking about the trees 10 years from now.  But that wouild be at 70.  I'm also hoping I'll be here to hear your report (I'll be 90 eeegads).

By the way it's no longer Barrow.  I believe about 20 years ago it is official - in native language now Utqeagvik.  Try and pronounce that - I'm still iffy on that, especially the pronunciation.

What are you referencing here kb?  I new nest - or a new pair in one of our familiar nests?

Phyl, Love the pine cone birds.... Thanks for RRP blog update... Beautiful fall pics you posted yesterday.... beautiful Lunar eclipse in yesterday's nature video.... beautiful fall pics this morning.... Thanks for reminding us about Giving Tuesday.... good day at the dentist!  ;D.. funny cartoons  ;D

Lisa, I hope you're well rested now. You did a wonderful thing helping your niece settle into her new apartment. It sounds like a nice place, and having an extra bedroom to use as storage is a perfect idea. Our girls use their extra bedroom as a storage room too... We're fine, busy, but good... Mike is leaving for Houston in the early morning hours and will return Thursday... Love the great birthday posts for Jeff. I hope he had a great day.... I looked up a Chantily cake with fruit, gorgeous and looks very tasty. YUM!

Tsk, I hope Tim has found relief from the itching... Mike bought a 10 lb turkey for Thanksgiving. I'll make what I usually make, except leave off the girls favorites this year and no desserts. Did you find any turkey legs for Tim?

Puff, What a lovely Thanksgiving dinner...  I haven't baked a cornish hen since we lived in Kansas. YUM!... love your memories of places and travels.  :)

Baz, Even though the Chiefs lost, we thought it was a great game! .... I agree, I bet they will play the Bills again too... beautiful fall pics you posted yesterday. I didn't know about Ginko trees either.... Thanks for posting the story of Jayne Mansfield and daughter Mariska, very sad.... glad you were able to get a walk in, take care.

Kb, I had look up a Ginko tree. They're very pretty.

Tig, Since you have street lights,  3 years is a long time before city repairs them. Geez! We don't have street lights in our area.... Jayne Mansfield played the piano beautifully... good luck to DNR new eagle family.

Clynn, pretty little restaurant in Sedona... When we lived in Scottsdale, we tried a couple of times to get in, but it's always busy..... Love yesterday's beautiful fall leaves posts...  never had an itch on my foot while driving. LOL!  ;D ... your oak tree is gorgeous! Beautiful colors... Beautiful fall pics this morning.... I hope Bella had fun at her first overnighter... lovely pic of Erin, Sydney and Talon! Big Smiles from the young man!  ;D ... I can't imagine no sun for Barrow, Alaska. 64 days, maybe I could go a week.  :-\  ... love the original SNL crew! The Coneheads!  ;D ... beautiful pics of your friends home and area.

Oldguy, what a wonderful story about Dudley.... Walter Santi's mama and kittens bath time.... neat DIY cat shelter.... that glass slide and bridge is amazing... Thanks for all the videos.

BL, enjoy your time in the Catskills... safe travels and trip!  :) ... Jewel, Alison Krauss, Dan Tyminski a nice ending to the day.

Karen, I finished my part of getting ready for our December 5th fundraiser. Prep work..... So I'll start bringing up Christmas things.

Good night from New Zealand!

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, you have had a busy few days, I hope you get to rest a bit now. I bet it feel good to have that big job done!  Will you have the house all Christmassy when Mike gets home tomorrow, or at least a good part of it? How are Sadie and the cat boys doing? And what are the girl's Thanksgiving favorites? No desert?  :o

BL, good music, thanks! You always bring great tunes to the Beak, along with your adventures...

WYOMING’S DIZZYING SMITH MANSION is rumored to be built over a mine shaft or by the hands of a madman or as a perverse joke, but the truth is that it is simply the work of a man who could not stop building.

Located in the picturesque Wapiti Valley, the former home of builder and engineer Lee Smith rises out of the landscape in a seemingly random collection.
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

Good Morning Beakers

clynn - Love the light fixture in your last morning pic.  Interesting....WYOMING’S DIZZYING SMITH MANSION.  Jeff and I love the old SNL cast, they were funny.

Lani - All rested and ready for my next adventure.  ;D  I hope you are rested up too.   Safe travels for Mike.  The Berry Chantilly cake is so good.  It a light cake, not dense.

BL - Thanks for the tunes. Have a safe trip to your cabin.

kb - Thanks for the info on the new DNR cam.  I wonder why they didn't go with solar power for the cams at Nancy & Beau's nest.

karen - Good luck with the neighbors on trees and fence!

Phyl - Yay, on your perfect dental exam.

tsk - How is Tim doing, better?  Are you getting all prepped for Thanksgiving?

baz - Hope your knee is feeling better today.

tig, Puff and all - Morning  :)
