Good Morning Beakers!

Lisa, you're up early this morning!  You must have the first appointment of the day! Here is a pic of your pretty decorated house!

Lani, very interesting owl gif!

BL, Lake Lila looks like a beautiful place to be...

tsk, I will be taking out my plants after Tuesday night's freeze, then I can put my Fall porch decor out!  When I sprinkle dried catnip on the floor for the cats they usually eat it!  We need some rain here too, looks like one small chance in the next two weeks. I am going to have Ed give all the hostas a good drink this week!

Phyl, what a cute little Pug in the big chair! I remember trick or treating used to be such fun when we were kids, but it's not the same anymore. Too many weirdos out there, not safe like it used to be. Ed and Kelsey used to dress up and he would take her to a few neighbors. She liked it, but she would give the candy back to them. She doesn't eat candy! We won't even be home this year, Kelsey and I will be at Mom's. Wow, Maggie is a true Dame Maggie!

Zinnia Growers · Monte Loomis  · a day ago  · I plant 4 to 6 thousand zinnia seeds every year for my eyes and for Monarch butterflies . *edit… picture is not photoshopped as some suggested. I breed and raise monarch butterflies. New butterflies are placed on the flowers in the evening, when the sun warms them up in the morning they fly and feed on the flowers and leave if they please. picture was taken with my iPad.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

BL  Nice to be so flexible.  Was that the next hurricane you posted?

LANI   Very cool owl gif.  :)

LISA  Your AM fall pic says it all  ;D  Cute house front  ;D  - Thanks CLYNN

CLYNN  Kelsey giving the candy back  ;) ;)   They do a lot safer things for Halloween now.   One is parking lots.  Organizations will have cars line a parking lot and trick or treat from trunks.  Not as much fun, agreed.  Then again, home decorating around here seems more for this holiday than Xmas  :o   Gotta have a big piece of land to plant 6,000 ninnia seeds.   Hmm  how do you place monarchs on zinnias at night?

PHYL   Beautiful 365   Liked the vintage pieces

Back home from eye doctors, and still a lil dilated.  Eye doc said, I could go with the same script I am using now for this year, but also gave me a new one, just in case I wanted one to fine tune the close-up part of my progressives.  I am going to try and stick it out with these glasses till next year!

clynn - Thanks for sharing the pic  :)  Yes, I was her first patient this morning.  I like to have early appointments when possible.

Phyl - Thank you, and thanks for the 365.

Good news for our daughter Shannon.
She is moving to Las Vegas before December, new job, new home, many new adventures.
She sold her home yesterday, just before she was putting out the sign! They paid full price and in cash!
She may be moving before Thanksgiving, since she sold her home so quickly.

We've been busy helping her these past few week. We'll miss her... she's excited and we're excited for her!
New adventures in her future.  ;D :'(

PHYL  Loved the piece on the screech owls and camo.   That Merlin app is great for birders. - Now a sharing possibility.

LISA  With the price of a lens chance I too stretch it out another year.  My far vision is blurry anyway so I'm used to it.

LANI   Thanks for Sharon's report.  Bears are really slowing down now.  Their coats are beautiful.   WOW  what a surprise for us to hear about a "new adventure" for Shannon.  Will her job still be with a casino?  And sold her home for cash!!  Great deal.  It was meant to be.  Now both dtrs are away  :'(

Lani, congrats to Shannon - new home, new job, new town!!  :D

Waving to All the Beakers!  :)

My Lil Sis recently celebrated her 70th birthday. Her son, and his girlfriend, and his 4 twins; and her daughter and her husband, and their 2 kids; all came to visit. All the kids got a chance to have mad "cousins" fun together.  ;D :-*  They did lots of fun things, including celebrating my Lil Sis's b'day with a swim party at a friend's house, where all the kids wore matching t-shirts declaring them the Spooky Squad!
  ;) ;D :-* :-* :-*

some bounce

Well... at least they caught the crack in the heat exchanger before carbon monoxide got us. A new furnace will be installed next week. Our Dyson heaters will have to suffice for the next couple of cooler days.

(( Lani/Mike ))

At least the pool was not cold today. I left our house of 62 degrees and drove thru 37 degree weather... I'm sipping hot tea now. But I haven't put socks on yet! ( Good stubborn German stock. LOL )

tig - Sorry to hear about your heat exchanger, but yes, thank goodness they caught it!

baz - Great pics from the 70 & Fabulous party!  Love the kiddos "Spooky Squad" shirt.

karen - Thank you!   :-*

tsk - You are right about the price of lenses.  I purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses before Decorah, cost me big bucks and I really do not wear them all that much.  So, I will stretch these out for one more year, to make up for those pricey sunglasses.

((Lani & Mike)) - Congrats to Shannon on her new job, home and move.  Wish her the best!  Thanks for the bear study update.

Good night, everyone  :)

We haven't had the furnace checked for a few years. We do not pay for any monthly maintenance programs. The new one will be warranted for 10 yrs.n

BAZI   Those are great photos.  Almost didn't recognize Lil Punkin with all that hair and of course not to miss Lil Bro  ;D..Your Sis is a very young looking 70!!

TIG  WOW  Pays to have a furnace check every year. (oops I see you didn't have it done very year) How old was it?  Tim has a new Dyson heater for our "peninsula" bedroom .  Even tho a basement underneath it is always about 5 degrees cooler than the main house no matter how the pipes are configured.  Those Dysons really heat well and fast.
