Uncharacteristically, we were suppose to have views of the northern light 8-3 (some said 10-2). Sadly, NADA! :'(
I'm waiting for local news/weather to find out if there were any local reports to mention.
Good news is I'll always have the real deal of a few shots from Alaska. Those always are a fond/fun memory. My best pic is a super display behind me at the top of a ski area north of Fairbanks. Someone phoned a wakeup when there was action (3 a.m.) for a snow tractor ride to the top of a hill. Enterprising young fellow had a studio on wheels to offer to take pics. $$$ that time, but the real thing. I do have some of my own that I took a couple of times. More fun to follow/watch the lights than getting the pics - but I'll remember both. I wish I was better with this dang machine - I'd love to share.
How about you
tsk
- Did you have anything up north by you? I'm thinking you were recouping from the day with Tim. We did get lucky with a clear sky, but . . . .

Hope everyone had a pleasant evening and some SEDs.
Praying for SWFL and Ft. Myers nests and those in the path of Tropical Storm Milton
HI Lisa and Puff
I'm up earlier than usual because Maggie woke me out of a sound sleep howling at top of her lungs. So thinking she's starving as honestly, I didn't leave her much food when I went to bed last night. So got up trodded down stairs and set food and such out.
Came back up and she was asleep on our bed. Go figure!
Tsk
sounds like Tim has a plan

Good Morning Beakers!
Well, I am late this morning! Had to watch oldguy's video, then got sidetracked...
tsk,
I sure do hope Tim gets to feeling better after his surgery, he has been through a lot lately, and you too! Goodness!! You guys deserve a break! I have had no issues from the Ozempic, I hope the same for Tim. I worried about Charlie's feet too, don't think I could have headed out there barefooted! So much destruction...
Phyl,
oh Maggie, that was such a cat move!
It's like when mine want in from the deck, I open the door and they stand there looking at me... Good 365, I love it when it's raining leaves. There is a street just down the block that is lined on both sides with huge ash trees, the leaves are starting to fall and soon the whole street will be full of yellow leaves. I love that street in every season, it's like a tunnel in the summer! Hope you and Jim are feeling better each day! Love the pics, I see more puzzles!
Lisa,
yay, the cams go back on today! Will that be N1, DNN and GSB? How are Bandit and Misty doing?
Puff,
yes, memories of the auroras you have seen have to be far better than anything we can see down here!
Lani,
Mike is home now, right? Now he can get a good rest... Beautiful good night picture...
oldguy,
that was a great video of the guys walking Siesta Key. So much damage...
baz,
sorry to hear that so many of your neighbors are having difficulties, hope you continue to keep yourself safe!
BL,
have a wonderful and safe trip! I bet the scenery will be beautiful!
Crater Lake National Park in Oregon
This is the ‘House on the Rock,’ located in Erwin, TN. It shows just how dramatically the creeks rose during the historic rainfall event brought by Helene.

Bounce
I ended up staying home. The group never found much... wrong places, wrong timing. Darn.
Pool, yard werk, supper with Bro.
Forgot to mention... police were called by a neighbor up the street about a guy with a gun. Police couldn't do anything because he came out of the house without the gun. Weird.
Had a talk with the lady next door too. She has been working on the house and yard lately. She said the husband has mental problems and living in a sober house. Hope he stays away.
