CLynn pretty 'Good Morning'.  Awww Sam snoozing on the sofa.  Tks for Hellgate update  with Finn flying in a fish for his Iris.
Our Mom and Dad bluebirds have the clutch from just this last April lending a 'wing' with the feeding until this  May clutch hatches.
Then  the 'teenagers' as I call them will leave to make their way in the  big world.

This will be a stormy , damaging spring, I'm afraid .

Thanks for the Greenfield drone links.  :(   :(

We have 50+ MPH wind gusts this AM  BUT NO rain last night.  So I ran out after I threw shorts on and watered all the veggies and hanging/potted pots as I usually water them all after dinner when the sun is lower.  Hope I don't lose 2 pots  :P.  NEVER again will I depend on the weather forecast to assume rain!!!!   Our huge maple in the back yard was majorly pruned so will tackle all the branches later.

EAGLES   Wasn't Jennifer Hudson an 8th place winner and look at her now....

LISA   My/Tim's regular ENT group left our Hospital so we have to find another group.  I did some research and found a highly recommended group so as a new patient it takes forever to get an appt and besides they just moved to different offices.  So it is later in June which is OK.  My regular doc does not have the tools to clean my ears properly.  Tim sees them for his hearing aid issues should they arise.

KB   Storm chasers   :o :o :o :o  I get chills just watching those videos   We have a single guy - really nice tho - neighbor who doesn't tend to thistle.  Thus it is a continual problem for me. ::) ::)  Is the Swedish Institute a museum?  Gorgeous woodwork

TIG   Home just in time   Phew!

OLDGUY  Yesterday morning when those folks in Greenfield went to bed they had no idea how changed their next morning would be.
Tornado damage is so awful.

PHYL   Is that swarm of bees on a sunflower??  amazing  Thanks for the pic on our newly "camerad" Philippine eagles.

CLYNN   Just terrible what happened to Greenfield.   Sam= total trust!

PUFF  NO rain.  Think it passed north and west again.  Lots of tree littler tho as I look down the block.

Don't even want to look re damage.  Finishing my 2nd tea and then outside.  Then it's back to veggies.  I just had to quit early yesterday - The cicada were attacking me.  Same here, didn't water.  :-\  And it sure got hot and humid, too.  I am so far behind.  Decided to try something different:  Spinach doesn't like heat.  Maybe I'll try a crop in August/Sept - watch it be a warmer than usual fall!

dumped close to 3 inches of rain here this morning....guess we are sucking it all up out of those storms tsk and puff..

tsk - Yes, the Swedish Institute is a museum...Lots of people have been there so they say. I haven't and won't be going anytime soon, though I'd like to, as it sits in a criminal "war zone" at the moment. Around 26th and Park ave so.

Clynn - LOL...just don't look?...haha..I'd have to put curtains up and close my dining room all up not to look or ever go outside to enjoy my own beautiful back yard.

I've already totally changed my lifestyle to accomodate theirs in front. Scott and I used to sit on our porch often to enjoy my front yard gardens. We close the blinds by 3-4pm in the living room already due to the screaming and partying and all kinds of nonsense going on out front.

Why do people say "just move"....it's always the good people who have to move, never the bad neighbors.
Ha, I can't afford to already.

I could call the city of Richfield and report her. Did that once years ago, but the city now is not allowed to view a person's backyard. They'd have to come inside my house to view. New code to protect "privacy" but in reality protects code breakers. She knew who called her in before as I am the only one who can really view her yard.

Good Morning Beakers

kb - I saw the video that you posted from Iowa.  That was one massive tornado.  Good luck at your ENT appt today. Beautiful Swedish Institute in Minneapolis.

tig - Glad to hear that you made it home safely yesterday.

oldguy - Glad to hear that MpMom was spared.

Phyl - There is a local farm stand that we visit, and they have a sunflower maze.  Lots of bees in it.  But, wow, that pic you posted!

Lani - Sweet good night pic.

clynn - Finn...what a guy!  Oh, that pic of Sam sleeping is too funny, but he must be comfortable. Pretty good morning cuppa & flowers.

tsk - Yikes on the 50+ winds!  Oh, I hate finding a new doc, but I know sometimes you have to. I hope you all like this one.

Puff, karen and all - Morning  :)

OG  'thanks' for the info om Mp's area I sent email  yesterday and PM today.

Lisa  pretty daisies and  latte.    Are Bandit/Misty back to their usual selves now that you've been back a while?

Puff I hope you don't have lots of damage.  Good luck with your spinach this  fall and the summer isn't too hot.
I'm  the one who causes spinach/kale  shortages in grocery stores. LOL

Tsk Gosh! 50 mph winds. That'll do something...it pruned your maple. That could be a mixed blessing.  But, you, Tim and Lulu are safe  ;)
Cute squirrel this AM.
Yes. A swarm of  homeless bees needing a rest and a 'forever' home.

Love sunflowers!   Last year they were seling perennial flowers!
Terrible weather and damage from the tornadoes!  I hate them so much and grieve for the loss of life and property this storm  has wrought!
Nurse from the help agency is coming this  afternoon for ,  required every 6 months .   She takes my bp and sees if I am up and about!   Lol.
Piper sleeps like Sam.  Means they feel very safe.
Greatful beakers survived this round of bad weather!  More stirms for the ne today but reduced tornado activity!  Am sure BL is on the look out.

Atlantic Puffin Burrow cam - Puffintruders Abound!

It sure has been a chaotic week, y’all. If you don't already know, a very persistent intruder is desperate to make Burrow #59 its home.

Atlantic Puffins in Maine usually lay eggs in burrows or crevices in mid-May. Puffins typically lay one white egg each year, but another may be laid if lost early into the season. These eggs average 60mm long, 42mm wide, 0.31mm shell thickness, and weigh 62 grams. As we see with Willie and Millie, both parents will incubate the egg while the other parent fishes. Puffins have two lateral brood patches, featherless spots with enhanced blood supply, to warm the egg while they sit horizontally to incubate it. The egg needs around 39-45 days of incubation.

Now: let’s talk intruder! This bold Puffin has been charging into Burrow #59 every single day since May 18, including this morning. It even pushed Willie and Millie’s egg out of the burrow on May 19. This bird, nicknamed “Wily” by some viewers for his scheming ways, is likely a male looking for a burrow of his own. It may be particularly aggressive because it is still early–plenty of time for it to have an egg of its own. In nature, it’s all about having that competitive advantage and passing your genes onto your offspring. And someone else’s egg would not be a welcoming sight in your new home!

Puffintruder pushing the egg.

Millie protecting egg, on high alert from intruder.

6:56am Willie in the doorway and Millie on the egg.

KB  Too bad about the location of the museum.  Looks like a beautiful place to visit.  Happy to hear your ENT PA did a good job  LOL

LISA   How's Brien coming along with Mom's paperwork?

PHYL   Can't grow sunflowers here either cuz the squirrels love them!!!

LANI  Oh that must be awful for the rangers? to watch.  Happy to see Wily wasn't totally successful in removing Millie's egg.

Good morning / afternoon Beakers

Kb- You sure do have a beautiful yard and I can easily see how you & Scott used to enjoy sitting out there together.   Wish the way you give your yard much TLC would rub off on your neighbors!   Sounds like all went well with your ENT visit. :)

Og- Saw the terrible devastation on the news and on 'The Today Show' that took place in Greenfield, IA    :o :o   Thank you for info and posting link.    I too, saw that power windmill on the news that fell and caught fire. :o

BL- You are always so good at staying on top of the weather situations - Thank you!

Hi Tig!

Phyl- I love reading about your bluebirds and seeing pictures you post!   Wow - that sunflower!!  Hopefully the swarm of bees found another home! :)    Like Great Spirits Bluff Falcons - cliff view! :)

Clynn- Lol! Sam sleeps so sound and happily!! :)   Yes, the years sure do fly by!!  Every time I see a picture of Talon and Bella, its easy to see how fast they are growing up.   I know Bella won't let you run out of things to keep you guys busy!! ;D ;D ;D
Yaaay for Finn bringing Iris a fish!

Puff- Hope the Cicadas don't bother you when you head back outside today! :o ::)

Tsk- Yes, Jennifer Hudson is so successful!!  I checked with 'Alexa' and it said that Jennifer placed 7th on 'Idol' during Season 3.

Karen- Hope you have a good report & visit with the Nurse that is coming over today to check up on you! :)

Lani- Wish that Puffintruder would go find his own burrow/crevice.  Good luck to Millie & Willie!

LisaG- How are you & your brother doing?  Just taking a day at a time?

Hi Lori- How is your family doing?

I am taking my Mom to a doctor appt later this afternoon.  Ever since she fell in her bathroom last Oct., she's had hip & knee pain (on her right side).  I think the doctor is going to try and find out if the PT is helping.

After that, hubby & I have a baseball game to go to. :)   Don't know how many more games our Grandson has, but their team keeps winning!
