Lori, beautiful pic of E23! Thank you!  How are you and Destini doing these days?

Phyl, cute 'schrooms with snails!

tsk, nice puzzles! How long does it usually take for a 500 vs. a 1000?

Lisa, Fatty Patty! there is a girl that I worked with, she was like Mia Farrow, her name was Patty, and we called her Fatty Patty! And then there was Smitty, who we called Shi**y Smitty. Then there were the three tall skinny girls who walked the halls, we called them Charlie's Angels. Once in a while a male friend would walk with them, we called him Bosley. Oh well.... ::)

E4E, did you and Kris have a good ride in your VW Bus? Do you ever watch Unsellable Houses? They are twins who do houses so they will sell, up in Snohomish WA. They are both VW freaks! They did a house for a guy who was a VW collector, he had about 10 restored vehicles. He even had the Thing!

baz, stay safe, don't get blown away! Here's a good oldie I am sure you will remember!  https://www.bing.com/videos/search?pglt=171&q=youtube+gene+pitney&cvid=6a7f5a2d357942e88fe988ed697bece8&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQABhAMgYIAhAAGEAyBggDEAAYQDIGCAQQABhAMgYIBRAAGEAyBggGEAAYQDIGCAcQABhAMgYICBAAGEDSAQkyMTQ5OWowajGoAgCwAgA&pc=U531&ru=%2fsearch%3fpglt%3d171%26q%3dyoutube%2bgene%2bpitney%26cvid%3d6a7f5a2d357942e88fe988ed697bece8%26gs_lcrp%3dEgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQABhAMgYIAhAAGEAyBggDEAAYQDIGCAQQABhAMgYIBRAAGEAyBggGEAAYQDIGCAcQABhAMgYICBAAGEDSAQkyMTQ5OWowajGoAgCwAgA%26FORM%3dANNTA1%26PC%3dU531&view=detail&mmscn=vwrc&mid=0D446A04E0B84CF438B70D446A04E0B84CF438B7&FORM=VDRVRV&ajaxhist=0

Lani, thanks for the Albatross updates!  Love them! Has Mike calmed down yet? ;D

Hello Beakers

cards were outstanding Sat. night - won 3 out of 3 with the last one very short - won it in only 2 hands ( both over 5000 points).

It got up to 47 today - staying warm until after the rain forecast for Wed. - then 3 days of more normal temps before it gets back to the 50s again.  On Thursday we set a record of 67 - breaking the old record by 8 degrees.  Most of the piles of snow are gone and the grass is green.  We had very little runoff from the snow melt as the ground was not frozen.  It looks like the Kentucky to Boston area will wakeup to 4 - 12 in. of snow by morning.

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani must be having connectivity issues again! It feels strange not to see her post when I start my post in the mornings! 32 here, high 48 today.

Phyl, wow on the video, I had never heard of waking everyone up to start Mardi Gras! Thanks for the history of Mardi Gras! Beautiful 365, love the view of the moon over the wetlands and the sounds of the cranes!  Happy Shrove Tuesday! Also known as Fat Tuesday!

E4E, you and Kris will never be without a ride, that's for sure!

BL, I do think it would be mind boggling to walk on the ground below all those Hoodoos! Our country is full of beautiful, strange and mysterious things! And I keep seeing things I have never seen!

oldguy, thanks for all the links, looking forward to watching them a bit later! Good news on the cards! This weather is strange for this time of year, right now TWC says we may get up to an inch of snow on Friday.

SF Bay Ospreys - The 2024 nesting season is expected to begin within the next few weeks! Rosie's earliest return was February 18, and her latest return was March 7 (Richmond overwinters in the area.)
Their original nest site, which they did not use last year, has long since deteriorated from the wind, rain, and various birds and raccoons.
Last year's nest site has now also suffered from the wind and the Ravens. This image (click for full view) shows the nest before and after a large chunk blew off on February 4. And in the past few days a pair of Ravens have been stealing or kicking off most of the remainder of the sticks. On the plus side, a fine lawn remains! 😅
We are hoping for Rosie's safe return from migration soon, and will be curious to learn where Rosie and Richmond set up their 2024 home. Watch live at www.sfbayospreys.org.
