Good Morning Beakers

Lani - Sweet good night pic, looks like pup is waiting for Santa.

Phyl - Cute kitty in the sweater!

baz - Thanks for the Jonathan Winters' 'A Christmas Carol'. Going to listen to it today.

kb - I bet the light show is cool at your sis' house.

oldguy - Speaking of the Key Bridge, they are also now thinking of building a new Chesapeake Bay Bridge that I cross all the time, as something similar almost happened to it after the Key Bridge incident.

tsk - Thanks for the piece from karen. Cute morning greeting!

tig - Can't wait to see your tree all decorated.

clynn - Love dual feedings!  Thanks for the SWFL pic, and love the rosemary in the mittens.

BL  Ever hike to Wabasha?  Nice territory/museum.  Smart eagle fan = we all can now brag on the National Bird.  He did the right thing.

Can't do cast tsk  - ugly psycho case of claustrophobia.  Do have an elbow-to-wrist splint - with OK to open up if I need to escape/take it off.  At least 4 weeks, probably 8.  Lord help me.  Calling later this morning to see if it's OK to come in for a quick checkup.  Woke up this morning to find that the splint was totally off layin next to me.  I did that unconciously while asleep.  ::)  Call them after breakfast and postings.

Paulie - Had hires to do some work about Thanksgiving time; temps were good.  One did outside, another to put tree together and put lights on tree.  Niece's husband came last Wednesday to take things down off shelves and out of nooks and crannies.  Got ingredients for cookies, cards half completed, and plans for trip to Supreme Market for Italian fish salad.  Next day, Thursday morning, I took a trip of another kind.  By late afternoon I just knew Christmas could not / would not happen this year.

I do have that gifted /Hallmark scene down.  Michelle or neighbor can maybe clean off an area and plug it in.  I also have my Madonna and Child statue in her designated table of honor.  After a week, neighbor Rosemarie (prof beautician) give me a wash and dry yesterday.  It's been over a week.

Also agree with all the back-n-forth about your knees paulie.  I know there's 3 pros in chat, and maybe even more, who I believe can answer and share on so many of those issues.

Fox news just did report from MSP  kb.  4" and more anticipated.  Careful!

LB I claimed your #2 pic this morning.  OK to share?

Hugs to you all

P

some bounce

45 minutes of shoveling was enough for me, for now. We got about 4.5 inches here, with another inch forecast for tonight. The snow is very light and fluffy so I managed to do the sidewalk and a path down the driveway for the mail person. My back was not happy with the new movements. Resting and rehydrating now. I'll sweep the front porch later.
I finished in time so Camper could walk out easily since he has a doctor appointment. He will get gas for the snow pup later to finish the driveway. My bro wanted to come help but he and S.I.L. have an illness.

Haven't seen a city plow yet....of course now the streets will be compacted and icy. Need to head out in the am. Sent a message to city supervisor and nada. Haven't seen a plow yet all season for that matter.
BTW our state blew through 18 billion in surplus somehow....and now in debt....I know how but won't say.

Chris however helped me this am. Shocker and we will both pay for it mightily. Got both decks in back done and then he started on the driveway and I helped him finish. Hoping this isn't a one time thing, although I had Trevor lined up to snow blow the drive which I cancelled.

Will have that big mound to do once the plows do come through if they do. Nada on walking or driving through the day for sure.

Not sure what we got. At least 5 plus inches...a few more to come, but I'm out of gas.

Ollie man destroyed his fish wiggling tail toy already. Lots of heavy shaking. ..oh well.

I posted a different post this am but comcast has been doing "routine maintenance" off and on all day since 8am. Couldn't have picked a better day sarc/.....when weather is important...

Howdy Beakers!

Oh no... I just noticed that Oma isn't listed in Forum's Members list anymore! Does anyone know anything about that? I know she didn't post in Forum often - she was more active at the cam chat - but she used to occasionally post in Forum. I hope she's okay, but now I wonder...

Meanwhile, I hope all here are doing well, and enjoying the fun and beauty and special gatherings during this holiday season!  :)

Take care, (((All))) and be safe in the snow!!

baz - You are correct, oma is no longer with us.  I do remember some other RRP friends mentioning that she had passed away sometime this year.  I cannot remember the exact month, but I don't think it was too long ago.  It was July 27, 2024 when oma passed.

kb - Hope you and Chris are not too sore from the shoveling.

tig - Hope you are resting your back.

LISA   Sure do like your AM pic today  ;D   Boy wouldn't that be something to see - a new bridge.  :o - in your lifetime?  That's what I always wonder at this stage in my life - but you are a lot younger so likely to see it happen LOLOL

PHYL   Very Christmassy morning  ;D   Saw that time lapse on FB.  There will be a time in the near future where will will no longer see the "branch" that RRP added.  ;D :o

KAREN   Funny vid posted for you by LISA  At least the turkeys were a little faster than maybe a black bear with babies  LOL

TIG  Thank goodness it was light and fluffy.  Just the change in use of muscles was enough.

KB   Nice to see Chris is feeling well enough to give some assist to the shoveling.  That Ollie man!!  ;D ;D

BAZI   I don't think you have to be a member to read - you just can't post.    LOLOL  That piece about driving on snow   ;D ;D ;D

Did not know that about OMA   :'( :'(

We need to review this procedure every Christmas so here we go  ;D

tsk - Thank you, the morning pic looked warm and cozy.  I would love to see a new bridge here in my lifetime, but I am not holding my breath.  ;D
