Good Morning Beakers....Happy Sunday!

Phyl - My first joint on pinky that was locking up, is still doing it at night, but not as much since the injection.  What I did notice tho, is that my whole right hand does not look as swollen as it usually does.  My neurologist noticed that too, and I told him, my hand has been like that since I had carpal tunnel surgery years ago.

tsk - I like Homestead Gardens, but they are pricey.

karen - Glad to hear the kitty was adopted, and hope that blood pressure is coming down today.   :-*

Lani - Love that sleepy kitty pics last night.  The whole thing looks so cozy. Have you heard from Shannon since her move?  How is she doing?

Puff, kb, tig, clynn and all - Morning  :)

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, you find the sweetest looking cats and dogs...  We went to Talon's birthday party last evening (his birthday is not until the 26th) and they were watching the CO vs KS game, another good win for Mike! Then they were watching the crazy ending to a BYU vs AZ game! The pool at Stoney Creek Lodge is indoor and outdoor, the kids had a blast!

karen, hope the blood pressure is down! So glad the kitty has a forever home now!

tsk, we have Earl May Garden Center that decorates beautifully for Christmas, love going there! I haven't been yet, maybe this week! Wow, you saved $32! I remember back in the late 60's, Aunt Linda was a 'couponer'! She belonged to a group that traded in coupons and oh my, the money they saved! We used to help her sort/cut coupons, it was quite a complicated deal! Coupons are digital now, for the most part...

Phyl, loved the Pink Panther, Peter Sellers was so funny!  Inspector Jacques Clouseau! So many fond memories we all have, I enjoy revisiting them here in the Beak!

Puff, I am only 5'1 (I used to be 5'2") and there is one item i always get at the store, and it is on the top shelf in some kind of rack. I always have to wait for someone tall to come by so I can ask athem for help!

Lisa, hoping your blood sugar went back down! Do you use one of those monitors that you stick on your arm?

This is a very, very niche tourist attraction. It is indeed a very magical and shocking place. It is like an alien shape suddenly standing on a vast land. This is in Kansas!

Historic Places of the World

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is an Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru, above the Urubamba River valley. Built in the 15th century and later abandoned, it’s renowned for its sophisticated dry-stone walls that fuse huge blocks without the use of mortar, intriguing buildings that play on astronomical alignments and panoramic views. Its exact former use remains a mystery.

Temps in the 40’s this am but will get to n70 or so ., Have had the heat on since mid week.  Will be 80 for a few hours Thanksgiving Day!   Up and down!
Pretty day, today.
The amazing thing about ancient buildings and even early last century places is what was constructed without modern equipment!  All literally man power.

Happy Sunday and SKOL Vikings vs. Bears...sorry tsk.

Have Peder and his son here doing the last project on my list for the year this am. An improved secondary gate on one side of back yard...to keep Ollie safe and rabbits out!

Had a lost medium sized pup in my yard at 2am last night. So sad. I posted the facts on my city fb page but no response yet....either it got home or it's still lost and it's cold and getting colder as the week goes on.

Just for the record clynn - was 5'3" most of my life - latest at dr. appt was 5'0".
Happened again this week - needed whole allspice (most have ground) but it was on the uppermost shelf.  Waited around for some tall person to stroll down the aisle.  First candidate who tried was my height.  waited in vain for someone else.  Finished the rest of my list and then went back to finish the look.  Not too long for someone of height to come by, Yeah.

And, although I don't often speak kindly about  "Stick"  I do use him to help now and then.  His extra inches and the bend of the grip do help pull things down my way.  Caveats:  Don't use for chips or bakery, and don't pull down anything 1/2 pound or more "clunk".

tsk - I would love the have that afghan.  LOL, your morning greeting.

clynn - Yep, blood sugar is back down to normal.  I do not have a monitor that goes in the arm.  I have a hand held one, and stick my finger.  Interesting tourist attraction.  Stoney Creek Lodge looks nice!

Phyl - Love the Thanksgiving figurines.

karen - Brrr, on that 40° but 70° is a nice temp for the day.

kb - Awww, on the lost pup.  I hope it found it's way home!

Woot woot!...someone just posted they captured the dog around 2:30am..1/2 hour after it was at my house and brought it to it's owners!....no more detail than that but whew.

That's what I was hoping to see on my post. Not guaranteed as not everyone reads our fb page.
It is the best resource though in this city to post about lost critters and the ending.

CLYNN   What a cool pool .  Open to the public or did you have to get a room there?   What you mentioned to PUFF is my problem as well.  It happens almost every other time I shop!!   I'm now 5'2" down from 5'3 1/2"  No wonder I have belly flabs.   Called Monument Rock and is chalk formations.  Who knew?

PHYL  You were very Thanksgiving today  ;D   She pretty much stays away.  I have it set up in my nest room upstairs and she really only goes there at 9:30 at night when she wants her bedtime treats  LOL    Many people I know have been to Machu Picchu.

KB   I know...Soon another loss coming up for the Bears.  I'll try and watch  LOL   Awww  Hope that pup finds it way home.  We have a lot of those lost/found pet postings on my "virtual chatter" FB page as well.  Many are resolved that way.   I read on to a happy ending for the pup.  ;D   See you at the game

PUFF   LOL  Where are the tall people when you need them.  I wait as well LOLOL

LANI   I sure needed that hysterical pontifical laugh this AM!!!    Came home from ACE to find Tim in the bathroom trying to stop the bleeding from his right forearm after he fell in the garage tripping over his wheel bumper stop.  He was carrying his leaf blower in front of him and didn't see it.   Well since we were at emergent care for the last one on his left arm about 3 weeks ago, we know how to treat it.  I just ran to Walgreens and got more supplies.  Sigh.

SKOL

I'm down to 5' 6" from 5' 8" . Grr. But, since 2020 I have ordered groceries for pick-up. It works well. And now... Instead of sending a text, one just points their cell phone camera at the sign. A link appears to a website where you fill in your name and parking space number. The groceries are brought out to the car minutes later. I have my mom n dad's old foldable shopping cart, by which I managed to transfer 5 bags in one trip this morning from the garage to the house.

I was 6'3" now down to 6'1".
One of my girlfriends from years ago was 5' 2" so I know what that bent neck store shelf "look" looks like.  :)

Going down an aisle .. and usually before being asked .. say "what can I grab for you dear" ?

Now I also dated a gal that was 6' 2" and when someone would ask her .. she would reply "sure no problem, now can you grab me that so-and-so from down there"  LOL.
