TKe care Lisa!

Went out with my garbage can and my cane earlier this evening and noticed a young couple walking down the street.   The next thing I knew the man was in my driveway asking if he could help!   I said yes and he  whisked the can out to the curb!  As he walked he said, one more chore done!
A day for good deeds!   I did not even have a VN hat on!   Or, ww2!  Lol

I got an update on LGN a little while ago. She has come down with cold, cough, and fever. There's a good possibility she won't come home tomorrow. If her fever hits 100.4, she stays. That's always been a required hospitalization threshhold for her (due to the chance of infection leading to sepsis because of her CVC). It's 100 now (as of an hour ago). Fingers crossed.

((Karen)), thanks for your work in countries of combat, and other areas experiencing disaster or extreme need.  :-* So nice of your neighborhood walker to help with getting the trash on the street, even though you didn't have on a VN or WWII hat.  ;) :)  Thanks for the updated news, and YAYAY for 2nd egg laid at SWFL nest! (((F23 & The Mighty M)))  :)  Talons crossed for a successful nesting season for them!  :-* :-*

BL, I agree with what you said. But I needed to clear up a misrepresentation of my words. Looks like that has been taken care of.

Puff, thanks for the update.

TSK, so nice for Barb and Tom!! Re. LGN's lab improvements... changes to mitigate the effects of a suspected cause have led to the improved labs. I haven't put all the detail in my posts. I'm glad it's helping. And, regarding the question about if it happens again - the answer is, she would require being hospitalized again for more treatment. The issue was found by accident while screening for other things while she was at her specialty clinic for a regular appointment. It was just a stroke of good luck that she was already at the Number 1 Childrens Hosptial in the country when the problem was discovered, and so she got immediate excellent care, especially since that hospital has the premier specialty clinic and team of docs who treat her rare disorder. Family were all glad for that! I don't like thinking about if she had had to be treated for that issue at a different hospital closer to home. That didn't happen, thankfully, and I'm not thinking further about it... and hoping it won't happen. Not saying more about that right now. Thank you, and all, for your kind and caring thoughts and prayers sent for her and her family. HUGS!  :-* :-*

Lisa, I guess your niece finally got her move-in date. I must have missed that. Yay! Smooth travels!! :)

Tig, welcome home.

Phyl, get to the chow. LOL.  ;) :D What's "H/H" ??

((Lani)), awww, thanks for posting wskrsnwings's cam shot of 2, 2, TWO eggs in the SWFL nest!!  :) ;) :-* :-*

Good night, Beakers. Peace. Out.

Clynn, Baz, I've never heard of the walking pad. Thanks for link, if you can't afford or have the room for a large treadmill, that is a really good option.

Baz, it's amazing how quickly Lil ones can catch a cold...I'm sorry she may not be able go home tomorrow. Prayers she feels better in the morning.

Tsk, glad to hear Tim is feeling better... awesome act of kindness towards Tom and Barb.

Lisa, thanks for posting Karen's fb post... I can't believe there wasn't a few more serious injuries.. stupid people. When I'm not so tired I'll share what happened on one of Mike's asphalt/milling jobs in the 80s.

Clynn, Love your fall posts... I hope Becky and Jennifer arrived home safely... who is going to stay with your mom for Thanksgiving... sweet Sears and Roebuck home.

Phyl, thanks for Veterans Day facts and history of cats.... Hugs, sleep well tonight.  and take care.

Tig, I hope you had a fun day, safe travels.

BL, ditto

Lani   baz  Thanks for the pic.  Watched it the better part of the time from 2-6.  Then I got a call from a client that needed some recap on their trip for Thanksgiving time.  Dang, missed the unveiling.  Let me go there now.

Mornin' all.  Have a good one.  Enjoy.

Good Morning Beakers!

tsk, 'hands on the wheel eyes on the road', your Mother was wise! Mine always says 'be careful' to which I always say ', Mom, 'I wish I had thought of that' or' do I have to?'!  How nice of those folks to appreciate Tom's service! There are still good people in the world!

Lani, Becky and Jennifer arrived safely in Corvallis last evening. They only ran into one patch of light snow! Jennifer is the travel advisor, she always picks the best way to go weather wise! I am sure Molly and Lucy are glad to be home!

karen, thanks for the news of egg #2 at SWFL, and Lani, thanks for the pic!

baz, dang, the dreaded hospital cold. I hope Lil' Punkin's temp went down from 100 so she can go home! Thanks for the article on the walking pad, I hesitate to go strictly by the online reviews, can't be sure they are real.

Phyl, great article on cats in the Navy

Lisa, you are on your way to Alabama by now, hope you are keeping your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel while being careful! Safe travels!

Sad news from Sydney Sea Eagle Cam...  November 12: We are sad to report that our younger juvenile SE34 has been euthanased. She received loving care after being found far from home, (see the attached photo) but after further veterinary assessment her future was not deemed possible. Severe eye  problems and lack of vision in one eye meant she was virtually blind and would probably be in pain. Life is hard for newly fledged raptors.  Unfortunately the other juvenile has also been found injured and is in care for further assessment. We are waiting for further information on SE33’s condition and future  now and shall keep our followers informed. Life is difficult for juvenile Sea-eagles, particularly in the city. But we shall keep watching and monitoring their progress in the future.
