I was right there that day _ that morning was so so beautiful .

I mean run away too close. I haven't hiked out of NYC since.

Haunts me to the point of Jumbo & I smoking a joint 30 mikes out with Jets screaming.

KB  How cool was that!!  Loved the car horns going off and all the people taking video  ;D  Love the sound.  Gosh sure hope Ollie is OK

OLDGUY  Looks like Francine could have been worse... :-\

BL   That's it - I knew you were Macgyver in disguise   ;) ;) ;   In the National Park magazine I saw what that viewing platform looked like - some great views you had at Brooks.

BAZI  At least all those folks leaning over you will be well masked  LOL  No worries - It's all the unmasked  ::)  I have to find a period of time to get my shots as I often can be down for the count for half day.

Phyl  Is Jim home yet?

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, what a great picture of Newman you posted yesterday! Jim is better ...  and you will be better soon! Wonderful news on the help for your knees!

tsk, I am late this morning!  I think I would like to get a subscription to the National Parks magazine! Sounds like it would be well worthwhile!

Lani, nice breeze in your goodnight picture. Love that picture you posted of the Twin Towers, made from pictures of all of those who died that day. It is so unique, I hope every family got one of those prints.  Had to turn the A/C on yesterday, just for a day or two. Temps going back down Friday! Love the open windows! I love having the windows open.

baz, good for you! I have to run to Sam's today, I will get the new Covid and Flu shots! Glad to hear that there is someone who takes care of the alligators, after all, they are God's creatures too...  :)

kb, my Dad was a fighter jet mechanic. Mom had a picture of the ones he worked on in Viet Nam etched on his headstone. The sound in that video was a sound I grew up with until I was 17. It took me back to Luke AFB ...The 56th Fighter Wing, headquartered at Luke Air Force Base, Phoenix, Ariz., is the largest fighter wing in the U.S. Air Force. The picture on Dad's headstone is the F-4 Phantom II.

Tully spent more time off the nest today, while Rosie spent an hour on the rail (closeup!). Richmond was a steady background presence, delivering two fish to Tully to Rosie's one.   https://youtu.be/hCv1bEtKTn0

Happy Day, Beakers!  :)

I only got a Covid vax yesterday... not the Flu shot. I'm waiting a few more weeks to get my seasonal flu shot - I like to get it early October, so hopefully it lasts till the end of flu season. Covid is not considered seasonal anymore - it's a year-round thing now, and most all states currently have either High, or Very High, rates of infection... primarily from the newer variants in circulation. Three people in my circle have had Covid infections in the last 2 months. Ugh. So I decided not to wait to get a Covid vax.

BL, scary awful and sad memory.

KB, ((Ollie))

Lani, I hope Mike isn't having to dodge Francine's effects.

Phyl, great news on your knee injections, and glad Jim is much better, home, and starting to get back to his normal activities.

Tig, yep, sometimes you have to rest up from vacation time! LOL.

Clynn, that's such a nice headstone with the Phantom jet on it for your dad. Hugs. That Bon Jovi link said "404 Not found" for me. I'll look it up elsewhere. I'm waiting till early October to get my flu shot, but wanted to get the new Covid shot now. But it's nice that it's A-OK to get them at the same time for people who want to. I did that one year - worked fine for me... just got them in separate arms. I'm loving the recent "open windows" weather, too!!

TSK, it sounds like your friends had a great visit to Yellowstone.

OG, I'm sure glad Francine wasn't any larger or stronger than it was. It has been bad for a lot of areas that got awful flooding/ storm surge, and heavy rainfall flash flooding on top of all that - roofs blown off, and some communities have pretty much 100% loss of electricity. I really feel for the people suffering from all that.

Lisa, you're probably posting at this same time.  ;)   Update: Hmm... Lisa, you're not here yet today... I hope everything is okay there - stay away from the "Little Stinkers."  ;)

Take care, All, and enjoy the day!   :) :-*

Oh wait that notice was sent from Travel Alaska bureau.   ::)  Give them a date for days' forecasts by hours.

Home again, home again, jiggidy jig!

Ollie had x rays: I saw them. Vet isn't an orthopedic or radiologist. No masses in abdomen, spine, or back lower limbs.

Suspect sprained hips esp. the right one. Possible inflammation in last lumbar before sacrum.

TX: bed rest for 2 weeks....ouch. no walks, no running in back yard and rimadyl for a week. will follow up if pain doesn't disappear.

Need to start investigating ramps/stairs...I bought one a few years back that didn't work out.

He's 9 yr. 4 months old..but, he's a long bodied dog for some reason...may be bilateral hip dysplasia, from birth. I didn't see it myself. My son has bilateral hip dysplasia but I'm not a vet.

Puff- I've been seeing Northern Light pics for weeks here from Minnesota.

Phyl - gad Jim is better....whew.

Catching up here and have Trevor coming tomorrow for the Big Dig in the garage.

Ollie may be more difficult the next few weeks as he loves his walks and no walkie Ollie for a long time.

Lisa, great pics of Big Momma and the Lil Stinkers!! ;D  Glad all your family was safe from the effects of Francine!

Clynn, that was a good story about saving the woman from jumping from that pedestrian bridge in Nashville. I couldn't access your link about Bon Jovi doing that, but I found that story and a short video from one of Nashville's TV station's online news channel at:
https://www.newschannel5.com/news/jon-bon-jovi-saves-woman-from-jumping-off-the-edge-of-the-pedestrian-bridge
